@Trey for being a super laid-back guy. I took him up on his credit trade offer for 2k credits. I ended up gaining an extra 600 from him for the trade. He didn't get a single talisman piece he was looking for. He took it in stride and even declined my offer of refunding some of his loss. The guy is a rock!
I hope you find, at least, some of what you're looking for before the end of this month.
Give us -real- shop logs! Not another misinterpretation of features we ask for, turned into something that either doesn't help at all, or doesn't remotely resemble what we wanted to begin with.
Thanks!

I don't know if I'm doing it wrong, but I can't ever find anything with the heraldry charge list search function thing. So I wrote a script and it does exactly what I've always wanted the list to do:
he search albatross
4050 albatross close 4054 albatross's face 4052 albatross displayed 4060 albatross inverted contourny 4059 albatross inverted 4058 albatross's head erased contourny 4057 albatross's head erased 4055 albatross's head couped 4051 albatross close contourny 4049 albatross volant contourny 4048 albatross volant 4053 albatross displayed contourny 4056 albatross's head couped contourny Results found: 13
I am retired and log into the forums maybe once every 2 months. It was a good 20 years, live your best lives, friends.

It uses the same wildcard syntax that nds list does.
he ch list *albatross*
4048: albatross volant
4049: albatross volant contourny
4050: albatross close
4051: albatross close contourny

Big props to @Gamden and @Skye for remarkable rescue missions after silly me thought she could tango with the scorpions on Zaphar Isle. Three times in a row. You guys rock and I heart you dearly for it.
The wildcard search function isn't as widely known as I would like. Along with the other things I've been trying to communicate with Elpida about, tweaking the heraldry helps is another one (we need to add in REJECT HERALDRY, for example). But yes....for questions, please please please ask on TAHA - we have new masters for a reason (no, I haven't forgotten you, @Valkyn) @Jonathin - sorry you've been struggling for so long, but hopefully that makes it easier going forward. @Ahmet -
uh. Oh yeah. Raves. Uh uh uh....lots of new nifty shiny things to procure. I've actually been hunting (almost levelling....I'll catch you again at some point, @Miriewand @Bronislav .....and Anai's almost 500 years old. Don't know if I call that a 'rave' but....yeah. it's there! Oh, and family's still awesomesauce. @Gamden, @Garis, @kaiu, @Sneijder, @Czanthria. to you all.
Legit lol'd at this for a while. Thanks for the smile.

ANNOUNCE NEWS #4514 (02/21/2016 at 18:48) From : Tecton the Terraformer To : Everyone Subject: A new day for shopping ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It is now even easier to find items in the various shops around Sapience - DIRECTORY! This command will scan through shops in the current area looking for the specified item.
Looking for a new tunic? DIRECTORY TUNIC will bring up a list of shops selling tunics. Looking for health refills? DIRECTORY HEALTH will show a list of shops with tuns or vials of health elixir.
This command can be done from anywhere, and carries a small balance cost.

Yus! No more in and out of every single shop in a city looking for potash.

Shows prices, item descriptions, and names of shops too. It's very handy.

I personally do not like this change. I think it detracts from the world.
That and it is ultimately going to ruin the marketplace I think. Before you could go through a lot of work building a client base and building a buying habit in them and they would continue to come to your shop even if you weren't the cheapest around because they weren't "shopping" anymore, they were buying. This was possible because if you were the most consistent person at stocking a certain ware people would develop a habit of always coming to you because they know they can get it there when they don't feel like checking every shop every time they needed a health refill to make sure they're getting the absolute best deal. Consistency and long term service as a shopkeeper and marketing would give you success. Now with no effort at all they can buy the cheapest wares, which means everyone is now going to be cutting their prices to be the cheapest until herbs and minerals are selling for 1g each. Marketing your wares is nearly useless now because everyone will see what you're selling without having to ever go to your shop. With wings I can pop into every city and check the price on something in 20 seconds to ensure I am getting the lowest price, where before this would take a good deal of effort and thus cause someone to develop a relationship with certain shops they know stocks what they need.
Another effect is that out-of-the-way and thus less desirable and cheaper shops will benefit tremendously from this. Shops that people paid high-dollar for because they are located in prime shopping areas are going to take a hit because now their proximity to the popular shopping areas doesn't matter anymore because people can check the prices in every shop (including the out of the way shops) instantly with no effort. It no longer matters that your shop is 10 rooms away instead of 3 because now people will see your wares regardless of where it is and will walk the 7 extra rooms to save gold.
Everyone's prices will plummet to the lowest listed price for curatives and enchantments and then will slowly go down as they undercut each other to the point where it is no longer profitable.
But yeah, I think the big downside to this is that you no longer have to learn where to get your supplies from. You just walk into the city and magically know the prices of everything in the city and where to get them at.
Debbie Downer, I know.
This is great for people who don't own shops and people who don't make their IG money from curatives and such, but it is terrible for shopkeepers (except those who had shitty locations). It makes saving your money while shopping much easier, however and it will definitely make combat and hunting cheaper as curative prices drop.
