Somebody said to me that there was a huge split, but nothing else.
- (Eleusis): Ellodin says, "The Fissure of Echoes is Sarathai's happy place." - With sharp, crackling tones, Kyrra tells you, "The ladies must love you immensely." - (Eleusian Ranger Techs): Savira says, "Most of the hard stuff seem to have this built in code like: If adventurer_hitting_me = "Sarathai" then send("terminate and selfdestruct")." - Makarios says, "Serve well and perish." - Xaden says, "Xaden confirmed scrub 2017."
Bright crimson feathers tipped in aquamarine create a wild ruff around the head of this elegant parrot and cover its rounded breast. Plain brown plumage streaked with white covers his face and frames a hooked ebon beak, while his back and wings are coated in shining green feathers capped with inky black. Thick, scale-covered legs support the body of the large bird, and sharp claws tip dark zygodactyl toes. An elegant Mysian parrot looks relatively helpless. He has 100% health remaining. He weighs 1 ounce(s). He is loyal to Ognog. An elegant Mysian parrot is holding: Nothing. It will reset to you.
Cyrene and Targossas are finally split apart. Cyrenian devotionists excommed, Targossians enemied and slain for preaching within the city...
It's glorious.
EDIT: The only downside is that I do feel bad for the Cyrenian devotionists. Sucks losing your favorite class like this.
@Naverre : I myself am having a horrible time because half my friends now hates the other half. I am very glad to see that this sort of thing gives you violent orgasms.

While I kind of feel bad for some being forced to change class. @Silvarien is the only one I really feel bad for. He's honestly the only person Targ recognizes as an ally. Whether its official or not.

Can those of us who are 300+ year paladins/Priests get a refund on lessons that we've earned... Gonna say I knew it would happen but it royally sucks to loose a class you devoted the better part of 10+ years to.
(Blades of Valour): He just has that Synbios Swagger enough said. (Blades of Valour): Draekar says: "Synbios if sunbeams sparkle off that I'll kill you where you stand."

Would be incredibly surprised if admins did this. Unfortunately, losing those lessons is the risk you take when you choose to play a factionalized class in a different faction. I do feel bad for those people who have been devotionists for a long time, but you always have an alternative - as @Morthif said, join Targossas.
When we banned occies and discouraged forestals from retaining their skills in Mhaldor, we used city credits to help refund those who wanted to stay as Mhaldorian and chose a different class. Maybe Cyrene will do the same!
"Mummy, I'm hungry, but there's no one to eat! :C"

Checked with @Verrucht before posting this here, and he said it was cool. I'm really glad, because I really believe this deserves all kinds of raving.
In one day's logs, Cyreneans have donated
2136 Credits
1517000 Gold
13016 Reagents for ink
63098 Curatives for people who stay and change class, and another thousand credits are promised by one of the houses asap, and that's not counting donations that haven't been logged yet either even though I've heard of some.
Can't even think of tagging everybody who did it. It wasn't even actually all Cyreneans, even rogues have been donating. It's insane, and wonderful, and people are awesome.
The only thing I was concerned about with this was the impact on the people who like Cyrene and can't afford to change class. I'm glad that's being taken care of, you guys are awesome.
As somewhat of a counter to all the negativity surrounding the Cyrene/Targ stuff, I have some long overdue raves.
The Diaspora. I have quite literally no idea what the future holds - I don't know if it will exist, be repurposed, or what. But you all have definitely made for a wonderful experience since I returned to the game and joined Team Targ. It's funny; as a player, I hated the idea of the factional classes being in other cities (except forestals, @Aurora plz let us have druids), but the RP of 'eager teacher' jived well with the Deacon at the time and I have absolutely loved it ever since. It has not always been easy (read: ever!) and it has not always been fun playing The Law, but you all made this an absolute blast, agree or disagree on what's happened since.
The Diaspora was awesome. Maybe after HL/Lumarch, I'll take it upon myself to write a brief history of the group - because that group of players who made it what it as for 50-ish IG years deserve recognition for what they made. I don't know if we ever succeeded in making a community, a real 'identity,' but you guys tried like hell despite two cities peeing on y'alls' cheerios.
From the stuff I have read from before I joined, @Bahtell, @Aldair, @Silas all contributed hugely to the group and helped shape the identity - Bahtell especially, from what I've read from that era.
@Daeir was and will probably remain 'the Deacon' in my eyes. He put work in to the group, and I am seriously thankfuly that I got to be a part of that period of the Diaspora. Even when he left us for classchange to become HL, his advice, support and insight was always tremendously useful.
@Halos, @Tristyn, @Ruca and @Kendrick (and towards the end, @Morthif and @Carmell) were the backbone of this group from the Targossian side, at least during my Deaconate. Each of them put in work and helped make the Diaspora into what it was. I would not have had the time or energy to be able to keep on preaching and teaching were it not for the hella hours of conversation and testing done by these guys. When stuff was hard, not one of you buckled or bailed. I can't thank you enough for that.
@Tristyn, our first (and from the looks of it, last!) HoN-role, has done more than y'all know and anyone who enjoyed the Diaspora in the last few months ought to thank her, when she's not busy doting on boys or making tricks cry. There was never a problem where Tristyn said 'nah, too hard for me,' and more than once wisely convinced me to calm down and keep an open mind with people I almost wrote off.
The many Cyrenians (Diasporan and not) who made the work engaging and interesting and fun: @Bronislav, @Verrucht, @Aziik, @AStriel, @Itkovian, @Seelie, @Glorissa, @Prydwyn, @Nicca, @Aeryllin, @Amarillys, thank you. Even if we didn't see eye-to-eye IC (or even if we still don't on an OOC level, because one of you is a Niners fan), it was always interesting and fresh with you guys.
And then there's @Drual and @Jeslyn. You two get the least words with hopefully the most meaning. Thank you. And I hope you have a blast with whatever side you wound up on.
Not sure how I manage to get a shout out, but Targossas. I've always had a lot of fun with you all, even @Antidas. Though he was a bully and wouldn't help me
Sounds like you had fun with it all, though, despite the workload.

People often ask me if I'm bored as a rogue or question what I do with my time in Achaea. I'm actually incredibly busy! I have to give kudos where they're due:
@Achimrst and the rest of the Curia Spiritus, who still to this day manage to get me excited about things to come. Today was busy, busy, busy (as Vonnegut's Bokonist character in The Cat's Cradle would say) but fun!
@Roselie, @Prysala, @Avonela, @Asenath, @Kathirin and everyone else in the Keepers of the Song, who I had the chance to interact with today. Being a siren again has been, by far, one of the best roleplay moves I've ever made. Racial roleplay is so underrated!
@Tillie, @Rip and @Kelvin, the Rogues and Wanderers is becoming something amazing. I know not everyone stays rogue forever, but your participation and interest in the clan has really made the last week enjoyable.
Now if I could just find someone who wants to step up and do things/contest me in the Delosian clan. I'm sure that could take off roleplay-wise as well!
@Daslin you get your own rave for random totem pulls into enemy territory. Bad! But funny.
@Herenicus for being surprisingly supportive of Kit... and for good rp interactions even if they were sometimes negative makes for good dynamics in the game love it
"Kit always gets blood everywhere." Medi says, "If kit says to show up somewhere, bring an apron." Medi says, "Rule of thumb."

@Seelie@Itkovian@Ferrous@Anaidiana@Czanthria@Aerek@Verrucht-You have truly been good friends to Kakotas throughout this whole thing it was you who drew me out of sleeping. There are no raves big enough for how this group has supported and dealt with a grouchy old dwarf.
And the largest rave in the world for The Dwarves of The Kongol Drak. You have always been a family but with cities shifting and loosing houses left and right I feel like we are more a family now as far as a race than ever. Thank you for all your drunken memories and random adventures together. Big raves to @Faur and @Eril P.S. @Aodfionn - Thanks for the good times, I enjoyed our discussions, and wish I'd had more time to dedicate to the Diaspora.
As for what's happened, no worries. I wish it'd been done more cleanly (Targ could easily have just demanded we stop fraternizing with Ashtanese, for example.. Itk might even have hopped back in that case, quite frankly), but what's done is done. I sincerely hope Targ prospers from this, and wish you success.
@Cyrene - I am impressed by the level of support and caring we've seen in the last few days. Impressive is an understatement.
