Someone who I can't mention the name of that surprised me with his reasonable treatment of myself and asked reasonable things of me. Kind of made my day. So rave for that person.
Rave for new houses and the tasks for the earlier reqs not being ridiculously newbish, but actually instilling the beliefs solidly in the young ones. I appreciate this immensely and for those of us who are older and have made our mark on the world, we don't have to feel like we are being treated like babies. Rave for the founders of the houses. You guys rock.

Cascades of quicksilver light streak across the firmament as the celestial voice of Ourania intones, "Oh Jarrod..."
Oh what??? There's a message now when lent out arties reset?
A lot of quality of life improvements announced today which are really nice. I like that item numbers are now green. No more mixing up '1' and 'l', as in 'journal11287' and 'vial87681' which I've always hated. The inventory changes will take some getting used to, though.
A frenzied cleric screams, "Like more than one halo!"
Huge rave for @Mizik and being class act. Our field were fun. And you even have me time to get ready for them. Also thank you a ton for the advice on apostates. Helped quite a bit.
Also raves for @Ayoxele because you are very funny to fight. NO CATHARSIS FOR YOU!
Rave for @Ellodin and his mentoring. And for not babying me and helping me learn how to lead and pushing me to be better and excel!
The Crucible of the Slaves has now come to its conclusion.
Despite the competition of many, only three Slaves emerge from the crowd as victors, freeing themselves from their shackles to join in the citizenry at the rank of Troni. Their names stand thus:
Troni Zulah, with an astounding 305 points,
Troni Kitiara, with an excellent 273 points, and
Troni Ast, with a worthy 174 points.
The first two thus gain their new rank and fifty and twenty-five credits respectively, while Troni Ast, whom had already freed herself during the course of the Crucible, will receive a single cityfavour along with ten credits. Fourth to tenth place are as follows, each earning five credits:
Kepeli
Zahid
Geras
Nilee
Rasul
Locki
Driden
Well done to those Slaves who put forth their efforts in this long-suffering competition of hellfire and blood. May the advantage of continued growth in Strength ever lie in your favour, else may you perish in your weakness.
My thanks also goes out to those who lent their efforts towards the Crucible, with special mentions to Advocate Aegoth, Countess Aiseiri, High Ascendant Ulrike, Revelator Taraza, and Eminence Orzaansyn.

At long last, the Crucible has come to an end!
While a very fun experience, I am exceptionally glad it is done. Not everything really went to plan as I would have liked, and there's still a lot of improvements to be made, but I feel like I did an all right (though not quite fantastic perhaps) job. The slaves worked hard, though, and it was a great learning experience and a good bit of entertainment. On top of that, @Ruth had a really awesome party given by @Taraus, which was a lot of fun and interesting to attend. @Terrance also finally showed his face and got to chat with him a while, watch various Mhaldorians be subtly humorous, and lastly finally got Dynamis rank. All of this after a very long week at work irl.
Today was (and still is, ongoing!) an awesome day.
And I love too Be still, my indelible friend That love soon might end You are unbreaking And be known in its aching Though quaking Shown in this shaking Though crazy Lately of my wasteland, baby That's just wasteland, baby
@Taraus planned around my 50th anniversary as Tyrannus and held an event:
Taraus says formally in Mhaldorian with a throaty, lyrical accent, "Comrades, brethren, fellow citizens..."
Starting alongside you, Taraus begins to take a series of measured strides as she speaks. Procuring a small pouch, she sends a shower of dust to the ground, leaving a defined white mark in her wake.
Taraus says solemnly in Mhaldorian with a throaty, lyrical accent, "We all share the honour of calling this great city home. A city that has undeniably flourished in these past decades - economically, militarily, culturally and spiritually."
Taraus continues to skirt the courtyard during her speech, urging the crowd gently behind the trail she leaves.
Taraus says in Mhaldorian with a throaty, lyrical accent, "Though we do each and every one of us play an important role, serve an integral duty, and share the weight of this sacred burden..."
Taraus casts a significant glance at you.
Taraus says in Mhaldorian with a throaty, lyrical accent, "I have called you here today to recognize and honour one whose role has been crucial, whose service has been exemplary, who has carried perhaps the greatest share of the burden."
Taraus says in Mhaldorian with a throaty, lyrical accent, "Mhaldor, this passing Glacian marked an outstanding achievement -- the fiftieth anniversary of Ruth I'llur being named Tyrannus."
Taraus flashes you a joyous smile.
Taraus says in Mhaldorian with a throaty, lyrical accent, "For half a century, she has been the priestess that led us in prayer, the teacher that taught us the lessons --."
As Taraus continues, her step carries her around the yard, drawing her again to her starting point. A clearly outlined circle of white spans a twenty foot perimeter, turning the courtyard into an arena.
Taraus says in Mhaldorian with a throaty, lyrical accent, "-- the victorious general that led us through war, the captain that commanded our vessel --."
With a slight grin, Taraus steps alongside you and smoothly drops to one knee, a spired coronet of black gold held aloft on her fingertips as if in offering.
Taraus says proudly in Mhaldorian with a throaty, lyrical accent, "-- the queen of our kingdom."
She gave me a lovely coronet..
a spired coronet of black gold
Gleaming with a mirror sheen, this sleek coronet has been forged from rare black gold and bent into an oval, the elongated curve designed to rest atop the broad head of a rajamala. Five spiked tapers have been teased up from the top edge of the crown, resembling nothing so much as miniature spires stretching from the base. Throughout the stygian metal, errant carvings and random grooves house vibrant ruby dust, the sanguine marbling reminiscent of the red-veined black ore of the western isle.
.. and also customized a Baarian tiger for me. It's not collared yet, but the attached collar will come with it after the ceremony.
a branded umbral tiger
Vigilant, an umbral tiger crouches on his haunches.
A species of grace and ferocity, this tiger is an exemplary specimen of feline breeding, from the top of his massive head to the tip of his ever-lashing tail. A suede-soft pelt of shadowy grey sheathes his taut, rippling muscles, the traditional stygian striping of the notorious cats revealing itself only upon the beast's underbelly. Watchful eyes of muted amber gaze warily out from above his broad muzzle, and the ready swivel of his round ears further lend to the vigilant aspect of this ruthless predator. A slim collar encircles his thick neck, the fine leather dyed a rich shade of amethyst. Though the creature is free from wound or mar, an escarbuncle has been branded upon his left flank, the pearlescent scarflesh of the eight radiating spines highlighted against his velvet umbral coat. A branded umbral tiger appears to be extraordinarily strong. He has 100% health remaining. He weighs about 1875 pounds. His feedbag is moderately full, but will last him approximately 31 months. He is mountable as a legendary steed. He is loyal to Ruth. A branded umbral tiger is holding: Nothing.
Thanks, everyone, who made it a surprise for me!
"Mummy, I'm hungry, but there's no one to eat! :C"
@Ruth: Congrats on your 50th anniversary as the T-rex of Mhaldor!

Based on the various happy raves from Mhaldorians of varying in-game ages in the raves thread, keep up the awesome work you do there.
I am using a tried-and-tested human method of praise-commentary: the sandwich method, wherein a lighthearted jest is placed between two statements of positive declaration to blunt any negative emotions generated by the aforementioned jest. Please inform me if the net emotion gain was negative, so that I may extend gratuitous amounts of regret for possibly inducing cloud precipitation on what would have been a glorious parade.
