Easier said than done! In any case, it's really good to see someone new that geniunely interested in Seafaring. It's awesome because, that was me when I first started playing. I'm not sure who all in Cyrene sails, but you should make those inquiries within your city if you're interested.
Now that I have the time to properly focus on the details of the events, would like to rave at how wonderful the turn-out was in the little mini event. I haven't seen that many ships before, from Blade of Entropy, Inexorable, Defiance, Gypsy Wind, then Silver Scorpion, Sisters of Malevolence, La Toture Popure, The Grey Willow, The Acinaces.. Gosh, I forgot what other ships are there, but there was a lot!
Props to @Kinilan for spotting, the constant commentary and yell-outs on the PoM clan, @Xer for turning up to be my crew, @Orzaansyn who gave sideline commentary about ship names and sailing (in general, just coming along), @Taraus for brawling together under the pirate flag, @Kresslack for the organization and then @Dontarion for showing up (never thought he would, lol).
Wish there were a few other ships who turned up though (CTN came late!), would have liked to see what they did while we were fighting off warships.
"Mummy, I'm hungry, but there's no one to eat! :C"
In the past we've only ever encountered I believe at most, one Kashari War Galley. To jump into a fray facing five of them was exciting and a good experience to show what they're capable of when fully manned (the Galleys we boarded in the past Kashari event were filled to weight capacity with soldiers and crew).
Although, I do question the legitimacy of that manouverability!
My ship showed up but having major ship problems and well I've never been in ship combat when we saw all the enemy ship and then all the PoM ships we headed for the nearest harbor and waited for the CTN to pick us up.
I have always gotten such great customer service here. Most of the times I need help is because of my terrible memory. Thank you for the prompt resolution!
Arguing with a zealot is only slightly easier than tunneling through a mountain with your forehead.
Oh so -that's- where those 325 ribbons I/she made/embroidered went.
What the hell @Tesha, we were supposed to make the best maypole out those.

Tesha randomly needs a tailor during their last ball, so I volunteer. Because apparently she's not high enough in the skill to embroider. So people are handing me 2500 gold for every ribbon/lottery ticket they want. Easy, right?
Yeah, easy until Aldair and Lachlan buy 20 each, Platonus buys 60, and Micaelis buys a whopping 160 ribbons. This is with about 20 other people with random amounts of tickets. Some people also bought some for others. In multiples. As I was making progress, people were then buying MORE RIBBONS. To save on gold spent embroidering, Platonus got a "P" on his, and Micaelis got a "M".
I begged Tesha to do a normal lottery. Stubborn wench she is, though, she would not relent!
Melodie has not touched or sewn a single ribbon since.

You forgot the part about the hat only fitting 75 things, and then having to figure out how to do the lottery with 320 tickets and a hat that holds 75 items.
We ended up with 16 packs with an evenish spread (poor Tesha did that all by hand) of 20ish tickets each, then she picked a pack out from the hat, put those ribbons in the hat, -then- pulled out a winner. This entire process took us close to two hours.
Who won, you ask?
You guessed it - Micaelis!
Never again...

I would have pretended all the ribbons fit in the hat, used a random number generator with the appropriate settings to determine the winner, and emote out picking out the right ribbon instead of a hour's work of hassle >.> You guys have more gumption than I do haha.
@Alynna, @Taraza, @Nizaris, @Xer for implementing a new and amazing promotion system within the Congregation. Probably the best advancement system I've seen in any IRE game. Well done!
Ribbon lottery. Funny story.

And here I was wondering what sort of things @Tesha would have me do to help out as a Culture Aide.
@Thaumas for being a great friend in game. For being patient with me even though I'm woefully out of date on so many things. For giving me chess tips and making me laugh. For being Thaumas! For letting me give you a nut nickname.
Total rave about @Penwize talking with Valdus. It's easy to be intimidated by the big name players, but my god. He's so nice!
Now all I need to do is wait for @Logistics to log on to start my adventures.
The Sentinel house has some of the nicest people in the game. @Logistics is a pretty damn good dude, and @Penwize will often drop what he's doing to lend you a hand. I guess @Rangor is alright, but he's a Swede or something.
@Melodie for taking me on my first sailing expedition and actually teaching me how to sail, @Saeva for tagging along and to @Jozlyn, @Taraus and @Kresslack for making the trip moderately interesting overall.
I now have yet another bloody skill to trans and yet another thing to save up for. Goddamnit.
so I'd been a little bit sad that I'd decided not to fly to see family for thanksgiving. I am happy to hear that I wouldn't have been seeing my family over that weekend anyways.
Been really getting into playing an alchemist, Vayne has been turning out a lot of class related essays and hopefully I will have time to push then in Hashan more.
