After some crazy crap that happened today, getting a post from a denizen recently who has acknowledged the event might very well bump up the motivation we've been needing in the House. Even just a little bit.

There's a lot I could say about today, but it's likely a little too much for these forums.

Instead, I will say this: Thank you, @Aurora, @Deucalion, and any other involved Garden members for proving my faith in good administrative decisions being made in regards to something I personally loved for eight years. A personal huge thank you to @Phaestus, for everything you've done and dealt with. I really, truly appreciate your hard work and dedication.

Change is really hard on the face of it, but it's like we keep talking about IC, really - a leap of faith. So I'm taking that step.

I greatly look forward to what the future may bring.

Enjoyed the past few engagements with Mhaldor, particularly when both sides have a good showing of forces - @Earionduil, @Bonko, @Jovolo, @Hasar, @Mycen, @Sabiru, @Katzchen, @Vicious, @Arditi, @Bambizlo, etc - apologies for those I missed. The Eleusian crowd gets enough appreciation IG - and if you're anything like me, the sheer thrill of fighting is enough.

Even though I dislike the general entrenched positions/sieges trend that seems to occur for both sides during raid/forest defense. A trait that lies inherent in city destruction and exterminations, I suppose. 10 minutes of preparing, 2 minutes of fighting/killing/dying, 10 minutes of rezzing/embracing/gloating. Repeat.

Belated rave to @Daemian for a custom birthday cake for Xith's 100th birthday:

a jester's suicide mouse birthday cake

A sweet chocolaty aroma fills the air surrounding a large cake fashioned into 

the shape of a plump suicide mouse. Soft grey fondant covers the majority of the 

cake, skilfully scratched to give it a fur-like appearance from its clawed paws 

to its large comical ears. Glossy red gumdrops mark its eyes, while white 

fondant has been used to give the suicidal mouse an unsettling grin. Strapped to 

its back, a smaller cake has been fashioned into the shape of a concussion bomb 

with a long licorice fuse. Atop its large and hilariously disproportionate head 

sits a bright red beret, the words "Happy Birthday" have been skilfully scrawled 

upon the front of the beret with multi-coloured icing, while subtly painted on 

the back of the cap is a crowned ivory fox with four wide wings, its nine tails 

twisted in strange, ornate patterns.

As you dive your fork into this whimsical birthday cake, the bomb crumbles 

almost instantly, causing an explosion of chocolate syrup to spill across the 

suicide mouse. Each bite fills you with bliss as you devour the moist, chocolate 

cake.
