Bullying other Sirens IC. Hell, I don't care how sick I am, I am more than happy to log in JUST for this.
Most Siren players are nice people OOC, and appreciate the non-sexualized rp. And it's a great way for all the sirens involved to figure out what they are really made of outside of looks.
@Bambi for going above and beyond what she needed to do to make my life easier as a Cultural Aide, and giving me confidence in myself.
@Verily for helping me keep my head on straight even if I ate wayyy too much chocolate.
and of course all the people who helped me out with planning, items, sanity checks, and doing their best to make my job as fun and as interesting as possible from a roleplay perspective.
I have no idea how this event will turn out, but I am ecstatic to see how things will turn out.
I do not know how people manage to throw huge events that actually mean something o.o but hopefully one day I get to find out.

More work and creative energy than most people put into their paying jobs. Taking 98% of that work upon yourself because delegating just doesn't seem to freaking work in practise and you'd only be rewriting other people's work to meet your exacting standards anyway. Weeks of planning and preparation. Imagining ways to make square pegs seem like round, triangular, and hexagonal pegs, and square holes seem like magical and mysterious openings, so that you can do things that seem cool without behind-the-scenes help from any gods. Getting behind-the-scenes help anyway. The stars aligning in terms of timezones and other people being online. A blessed lack of knowledge when you started out of how much work you'd end up putting in before you finished. The last-minute kindness of others because it turns out you didn't get it all done and can't get it all done yourself, but delegation actually does work and is quite easy if you're willing to try and it turns out that plenty of other people who play this game are as clever and perfectionist as you are. Luck, talent, and stubbornness. The giddy euphoria of a creative high fuelled by knowledge that you don't have to do any more preparation, because you're actually running the event right now at this exact moment, and soon it'll all be done and you won't have to do it any more (until the next one).
Every word of @Blujixapug's is spot on. Stubbornness counts for a whole lot when event planning, and you can't really count on anyone else to pull weight because everyone is unreliable!
It's a life-consuming nightmare until it's done, and then you get to be the proud mother when you pull it off. After a few months the memory of the pain of birthing the monster fades, and you think another event would be a good idea.
The sweltering heat of the forge spills out across the land as the rumbling voice of Phaestus booms, "I want you to know, the Garden reaction to that one is: What?" The voice of Melantha, Goddess of the Seasons, echoes amid the rustle of leaves, "That's the censored version."
@Blujixapug said it all in one breathtaking paragraph, right down to the last-minute kindness part. I'm just going to agree with all of your posts from now on because it's like you can read my mind.

Just to reiterate what has been said on the forums a few times: do not be shy to involve the divine in your plans, especially the patron of your city, they are here to help you. Sometimes you have an awesome idea, only to have it improved tenfold when you ask a divine for assistance. I bother @Ourania something fierce on a monthly basis, but she (and I am sure the rest of the divine) always reply with a YES, NO, or LETS DO THIS!
Just had some brilliant organic RP, totally unplanned, and this all stemming from the 42 constables that were slain by the Mhaldorians. Decided to take two novices and perform an on-the-spot rite asking for spiritual guidance for the fallens' souls. To make it better, both novices were so receptive to everything I did and participated by adding creative says and emotes. Made my day
I used to think Skuld only showed up at Fire & Spice when @Verily was there. Then one day she came while Verily was gone. Now I'm paranoid that every time I'm not standing at Fire & Spice, which is most of the time at this point, Skuld is visiting.

I get to the ritual, warned people of possible interferance from any or all of the 3 cities we usually fight with, and there was none. What's the world coming on to?!
I really love @Azor's introduction and ritual. Makes me hope I write better.

I was just thinking--if this community played Eve Online or WoW or something, we'd constitute one good-sized corporation or guild, and have a correspondingly smaller impact on the gameworld. Instead We Are The World! Achaea's pretty good at making our doings feel consequential, compared to other MMOs.
Great fighting around the Vents of Hthrak between Targ, Mhaldor, and later Ashtan. I got separated from the Mhaldorian group when it was Targ v Mhaldor and @Dannyl and @Sothantos each ran through my room. Not fancying a 1v1 against the likes of them, I phased and snuck around, and chanced upon two or three people meleeing @Carmell in a corner and got the killing blow with a backstab. Definitely a great Naga moment.

I always believed Sirens to be the anime-esque bishoujo race, and thusly thought it sexist that there's no bishounen race to match.
That's why Nim has green hair and uses a katana two-arts blade and trains on mountains fighting bears and stuff.
