This has rather discouraged me, but I really don't want to leave the Naga because I adore the House, and particularly find @Jurixe to be an incredible character to interact with.

It really depends on what you mean by "effective". With the recent boost to bound credits from leveling, getting to level 70 or so should get you most of the way to trans Subterfuge, and if you can be around to take advantage of some of the occasional house and city credit sales, it should be possible to get there without spending much (if anything) on credits. That gets you all the basic stealth abilities, as well as darkbows/snipe, which is about all you need to be helpful in raids/defense/etc. Venom and hypnosis will be important for 1v1 combat eventually, but there's a lot more to do than 1v1 combat (for my part, I've barely even started trying to figure that out). It sounds like you're enjoying your experience with the house, and others are enjoying having you around, so when you have the time, just focus on developing your character and getting good at what you have the means to do; worrying about the rest can wait.

@Niro: I would actually say that it takes much less to be an effective Serpent than a good number of other classes. The main thing you will really need, as Rakhir said, is trans Subterfuge, and that should be relatively all right to accomplish with the large credit sale that I just ran, as well as the retroactive bound credits. I've also been stepping up the rewards given, both credit and gold-wise, for members who participate in and accomplish certain tasks (you should know!)

Of course, tri trans would be ideal, but it's by no means necessary to be a good serpent. It's not necessary at all to buy credits if you don't want to, the process will just be a little slower, but I make sure there are plenty of opportunities for you to earn what you need IG with a little extra time and effort.

Also don't disappear on me or I will hunt you down.

@Rakhir, I wish I saw you more, but thanks for being consistently independent, helpful and proactive, as well as sticking with the House. I hope you don't regret your choice!

@Niro: @Vaehl was able to kill a lot with trans sub, hardly any venom, and a little hypno. It's entirely possible, since dstab and illusions are the skills used the most.

I am glad so many others are getting credit love, it is really good to see the cheer such purchases can bring. I hope I get in a position I can start buying credits for my novices, etc., especially if they cannot get them for themselves. From what I have seen, it seems like it would really make their day.

tbh, I have done many credit gifts in the past, never let people know who did it or how much, though. Always made me feel good.

I can only give the credits I earn ICly So that's 1 or 2 or 3 if a novice is doing good. ANd when I have them >.> (credits)

I stopped buying people credits after an experience with several ungrateful people. Now i only buy them for my ic kids or proteges occasionally. That and i should really be paying my debts off and not achaeaing.

I definitely don't rave enough (or ever), but there are a ton of things to rave about recently so I'll do it now.

Aurora and Deucalion are simply amazing. I haven't really had any personal interactions with Deucalion, but watching him interact with the Refugees is excellent. Such incredible amounts of love for Aurora, even if some of her comments make me a bit nervous.

Watching Targossas take shape and finally getting the Good faction that we so desperately needed has been incredible so far, and I can't wait to see what happens when we finally get a real city.

Huge rave for all of the people I've been fighting with and against. I don't really get to be online for the big raids usually, but I always enjoy the fights I am online for even if I end up losing.

Thank you to everybody involved in handling issues, bugs, customisations, etc, even if I'm not necessarily pleased with the response to some of my bugs.

And, finally, finding a Veil in a giftbag (that I didn't even expect to get, no less!) was an incredible end to what had already been a fantastic weekend.
