Yeah, I picked up most of the stuff in my shop and let people try, after something like 35 kills the fog hasn't vanished. Not sure if it is working right in the storerooms even if its meant to be there. I picked up gold out of the shop like 24 hours ago and didn't have anything weird there then.
@Makarios I know you're overworked but could it be possible to extend the timer before a Monster vanishes? For those of us not using novices to spawn the monsters, it is taking us (for me at least) longer to kill the creatures before they suddenly despawn. I mean it is no secret these bastards are tough (especially Dragon spawn) and frankly most of us are flying to survive the blows. Please and thank you

But, if I didn't have the extra con/sip/regen I can't imagine I'd have gotten through many, if any.
I mean, I'm rocking most of 7k health as a runey and it looks like it'd take me around 3 minutes to kill a beetle (circa 1% damage per 1.8s). And I don't think they hang around that long at all.
As an aside, but related, there doesn't seem to be any consistency to how many you need to kill to clear a room. So, that's another facet of this event that doesn't seem to have much in the way of a quantifiable goal. (Legit my only complaint and it's not much of one).
Everything else about it has rocked.

Yeah I've lost quite a few like some 10-15 seconds from making the kill. That's frustrating to the max.
Also, can we guarantee gold cap off for the event? saving the world is important but these monsters are seriously sucking up moss and health to no end. Gotta make it worth our while hohoho

I've not lost any that I didn't intend to lose yet, but I'm more artied than pretty much anybody so I can both tank for longer and deal more damage. I've been doing it in dragonform and using my level 2 dirk to jab because it seems far more efficient than anything else.
I actually managed to stack cape to full for a bit while using a lower level person to spawn, which helped out when somebody spawned a second dragon level beetle on top of me when I was already fighting one. Only had to fly once before I got the kill, and that cleared the room of Tide so the second disappeared without me needing to kill it.
I recommend rare minerals for bashing them. Xerthyst for regen and the one that gives +2 con. Extra rage for damage, and eq/bal if you can afford them.

We can definitely talk about doing this for the big stuff - its hard for this event, as we're playing it very reactive to what you guys do. There's no set in stone timeline as we can't know when shrines will be finished (as an arbritrary example, lots of small factors like that).

@Makarios It's.. really impossible for a monk at level 96 to kills hit at my own level. I take 3000-4000 damage per hit. Do 1% per combo... have to run every 1-2 hits.
Why the hell am I lumped in with the big dragon nerds.

I thought about it last night, but it felt like it would be pretty much impossible to actually try that without somebody just coming to gank you. The resistances from dragon really feel necessary, too, so Avatar would just mean less health and taking more damage. I suspect Avatar would need specific bonuses - such as increased damage, the ability to always crit, the powers being usable on the denizens, etc. - to be an improvement over just grinding through it as dragon.
