I really like the mechanics of this. It's a nice way of handling several of the problems.
But please, please could we get even a half-assed IC explanation for how this works? Talismans or spirits or even just a little IC event or note that justifies adventurers somehow "splintering" their minds or some residual thing from all the demigod event stuff?
Any explanation at all for why someone can know how to be a Paladin and a Serpent, but can mysteriously only know how to do those things one at a time, even though they can swap their skills like a floppy disk potentially every five minutes? It's always been a little bit weird how that happens when people change classes, but it's going to be coming up a lot more now. Anything that can give us an IC justification for this sudden new ability, so when someone says "One second, let me change to Shaman.", it's not an entirely OOC thing with no IC interpretation? @Tecton? @Sarapis?
Please can this item be called the Talisman of Seftin?
Does this mean rogues can no longer pick up factional classes like apostate, infernal, forestal classes, paladin, and priest? (Possibly Occultist, too?)
I think it just means they can't multi-class into opposing classes (infernal and forestal, infernal and occultist, infernal and paladin) and such. At least that is my understanding.
And you won't understand the cause of your grief...
Why do we need to be tri-trans to gain another class? I don't want to tri-trans, I have no use for the Puppetry skill. I don't even have a use for trans Tarot. I just wanna have one class for getting around as normally and one for when Kota needs to perform (aka the only reason I'm jester).
To make having 5 classes not be as easy as just paying 300-400 credits.
If you have use for only one skill in Jester, maybe you should consider making it your Secondary class.
Thats stupid, though. There's no option to move a class to a secondary slot, at least not that I know. So he would have to quit the class, and then relearn it.
And you won't understand the cause of your grief...
870 lessons or 100 unbound credits' worth of lessons lost when you're mainly only invested in one skill does not seem that devastating to me.
And if you've been feeling fulfilled playing a single class for so long, using primarily just one of the skills, are the perks of multiclass that enticing to you anyway?
I dare so there will never be a way to juggle you classes in their slots or else you'll have people doing things such as moving their fourth class to the first slot and learning it with the lower price.
Best bet is to De-learn everything, learn your transing class full then just getting the jester in your secondary as suggested and watch your tone when people are trying offer genuine help.
HELP MULTICLASS and the announce post say "Normal refunds of lessons apply to additional classes, with embraced individuals receiving 66% of their invested lessons, and journeymen getting 98%." But as far as I'm aware, quitting a class after embracing only refunds 50% of invested lessons. Is this a new change, something specific to multiclassed classes, or just a typo?
@Tecton / @Sarapis with multi-class now live, could we have a way to tell on HWHO/CWHO what secondary classes members/citizens are? Rather than just showing their primary class. (dunno how to go about it, maybe a separate command to C/HHWHO that shows just their classes, without their ranks, to prevent massive cluttering)
CITY SCORE doesn't exist, only things ambassador aides can use so far is CITY NOVICE TASKS / CITY NOVICE SKILLS iirc
Aurora says, "Tharvis, why are you always breaking things?!" Artemis says, "You are so high maintenance, Tharvis, gosh." Tecton says, "It's still your fault, Tharvis."
CCWHO and HCWHO? (CITYCLASSWHO and HOUSECLASSWHO) could give a list of classes each person is? Though that might become problematic for wrapping at.. 3-4 classes

So um, I'll just use me and my couple situations as examples here. Switching into an empty class that you cannot yet learn a new classtype for, burns your class switch for the 12 hours. It would be nice if this was a free switch, since being left in an empty class kinda sucks a whole lot.
Speaking of being nice, according to the announce post, "With the burden of trying to keep multiple classes in your head, it becomes increasingly difficult to master new abilities." Being that my primary class is Infernal, and my secondary class is Runewardon(because Knights), and that particular wording, one would assume that I still retain the knowledge of Weaponmastery and Chivalry, meaning I should only have to learn Runelore, and lose access to Necromancy while I am in my Runewarden form. This isn't currently the case, but, I really think it should be.
Lastly, someone up there asked about matching class loyals for similar classes, I can vouch for the fact that custom/collared falcons carry over from Infernal to Runewarden, and I would assume from Paladin to Runewarden and vice versa.
Things that change: - Traits (Adventurers get a set of traits per class).
Do we have to change our traits everytime we switch to the class (is that the bug about traits earlier), or once it's selected for a class, the trait list will switch to the class-specific one?
"Mummy, I'm hungry, but there's no one to eat! :C"

Abbreviate it, maybe? Ac - Alchemist, Ap - Apostate, Ba - Bard, Bm - Blademaster, Dd - Druid Dr - Dragon (not really a class, but eh) In - Infernal, Js - Jester, Mg - Magi Mk - Monk, Oc - Occultist, Pa - Paladin Pr - Priest, Rw - Runewarden, Se - Sentinel Sp - Serpent, Sh - Shaman, Sy- Sylvan
Too many 's' classes. People who just have the one could show the one class... People who have like... Apostate, Bard, Monk and Jester would show as: Ap/Ba/Js/Mk. or (ApBaJsMk). I dunno... If you're having a seperate command, it wouldn't really be an issue though. Just display it like this...

I'm sure giving me 100 credits wouldn't be anything of a problem to you then, if that's not much of a loss.
The perks of multiclass, to me, are being able to be the class I want to be - Serpent - for day-to-day stuff and hunting and so on, and Jester when I need the single Jester ability that is useful to me: Hocuspocus. Unless any other class is going to be getting coloured illusions that are the length hocuspocus gets, Kotaru can't really live without it, is the problem. Thus the idea of tri-transing the class is ridiculous. I am going to go with Serpent as my primary and Jester as secondary as was suggested, but even then Venom and Hypnosis are just an inconvenience more than anything useful for who Kotaru is and what he does.
PS: what exactly is the harm of having 5 classes that you can't really do anything in because you've learned nothing in them, and can only switch between every 12 hours, and only if you've reached 100? (or spent 400 credits before lessons, wtf)

Clearly the mastery of previous skills are stored in a reinforced container inlaid with wards against cries of 'OP' and 'nerf pls', also known as a 'Seftic Tank'.
