My travel mug finally came!

I learnt what the below actually was today - the 'Gates of Paradise' in Florence, Italy. It's too bad we were on a whirlwind study tour kind of thing so had a lot of 'oooh what's that that looks pretty' *click* thing going on instead of having time to research and find out what all these were, but still. Better late than never.

Am not an art historian but can still appreciate beautiful art! Posted for the person who will appreciate this more than I did then.

Opposite that was Florence's cathedral. There is no good way to take a picture of something like this because the entire thing was covered in art so detailed you want to examine the whole thing up close, but taking a close up picture doesn't make a whole lot of sense when you view it later.

One of the stores in Florence's famous market district that sells leather goods etc. I didn't try to buy anything from it so I have no idea if I am a nice person or not!

Uh I guess this is player pics so here. We were at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Rome - it's basically to commemorate every soldier that fell in battle in a war and was never buried/never known. There's a flame that is burning all year round there, and they have soldiers from all branches of the military to guard it in shifts. 

Since the actual guards can't be disturbed, they appoint this one guy to take pictures with the tourists and keep them happy, which is what I did.

I'm not really -that- short. Everyone else is just too tall.

I don't have any recent pictures of me cause I became ugly after starting university (and because I haven't done anything memorable but do math all the time )

So this is me at ISEF, International Science and Engineering Fair, beside my project. Uh... when I look back at this and look at my "research", and I just laugh. I was so silly back then haha. I'm on the left, the guy on the right was my partner whom I worked on this with.

Me and my mom after I graduated from high school.

Best friend back from high school. We were both in the Debate club at high school, and after a really childish event, this became our traditional pose for all pictures thereafter lol.

Me and a friend at GYLC, an international conference thingy. It was like, the only picture I had of the entire event where I thought I didn't look turrible :P

@Cooper: I wish bars in the States had mugs that big. I started ordering pitchers with pint glasses. Asked for a mug once and they gave me this tiny little thing, and then wanted me to pay $6 for it.

Some bars do have them. I know because I sell these mugs, and I've sold them to Old Chicago. They are really awkward and expensive (for barware), though, so most bars aren't going to use them because of the replacement cost if one breaks.

And holy cow, how did a dolphin get here!? Fun times at the Hus Ten Bosche theme park. It's a Dutch theme park. In Japan. Doesn't really have roller coasters or anything. Just cool shops, things to see, windmills, canals, and oh yeah, people live there. It's pretty neat. This was an optical illusion house. Neat stuff.

So there you go, now you know who I am and what I look like. Just remember -- you know I have a sword.
