Hit all six article deadlines this week between my internship and college newspaper.
President of a communication company (a former reporter and editor) sent me an e-mail to tell me one of my articles for which he was a source was "thorough and informative."
Having a personal dance party for the next 10 minutes before I start calling sources for the articles due next week.
I have some pretty exciting news. It's not really exciting for any of you, but it's something I've been working a for a long, long time.
I made some mistakes when I was younger and accumulated quit a bit of credit card debt, and on top of that I bought a brand new car in late 2007 (2008 model, literally brand new - when I got it it had like 50 miles on it). In 2010 I was finally able to start paying more than the minimum payments on my credit cards. I finished paying them off in early 2012. I opened up an IRA account at that time and started to put a little extra money in there.
As soon as I get my next paycheck and my tax refund money back (15th on the check, ~21st on the tax refund), I will be able to finish paying off my car - 10 months early. Then, I will be completely debt free. I don't normally talk about personal things - and I certainly don't share such sensitive information as this often, but I had to say something. I cannot begin to describe the feeling of having messed up severely with money early on in life, and the feeling that soon all of that pressure and stress will be gone.
Good job, though! I don't have any debts, but I've seen my parents' faces when they get debt free, and I tell ya, it's a sight to remember.

Wait, you're telling me there's a state of being that doesn't involve me owing anything to anyone? That's not funny to joke about man. I'm going to find out that it's all a dream and then it's fuckin' Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny ALL OVER AGAIN YOU JERK.
but seriously, happy for you man. Not many people get to experience that, and I'm sure it's sorely needed and appreciated.
I was looking for freelance work earlier, and I came across this gem on Craigslist:
Seems legit.

Getting back in contact and good standing with my dad. It's taken five years, but things are alright. It's nice. SO very nice, to have him in my life again.
I want to ask back: "Are you literally literally challenged, or are you just challenged and don't mean it figuratively? Or do you just enjoy the challenge in littering alleys?"
My odyssey is nearly over. In 19 days I've been in 4 countries, 6 if Hong Kong and Macau are considered separate from China. Been in 9 hotels, 12 cities and too many airports.
Had a great time, got a lot of work done and enjoyed my trip so much I bought property in BGC (the Fort) that's barely started construction and won't be done until 2016.
Also, the Fort is nice. Full of high-class things. Generally clean and nice. Also, just around 15 minutes from my residence there!

I had a relatively good weekend. It stormed like crazy and I didn't have to work, which meant a few hours more sleep.
Two more days and I get to spend a week with the most handsome little man in the world. It's also like a mini-vacation except I still have to go to work and it's a longer drive.

Drinking Mississippi Mud and getting a football lesson from my significant other and my best friend. No idea what is going on with this game, but free booze and vegetarian pizza = win.

Exceptionally cute new IT person. For once, I will never complain about stuff breaking on a weekly basis. :x
