    So, my professor is doing a poetry reading tonight at a local bar. We get extra credit for attending. That's right. Extra credit to get drunk and listen to poetry. Things like this make me love my life.
    My avatar is an image created by this very talented gentleman, of whose work I am extremely jealous. It was not originally a picture of Amunet, but it certainly looks a great deal like how I envision her!

    Today's the beginning of my final semester in high school! :) I also began taking the course I've been excited about the whole year: Public Speaking. Best part is, there are only 12 people in my class, so I'll have a nice quiet class to go to before lunch.

    Hehe. I just love the whole concept of rhetoric, and apparently the teacher is pretty energetic about the whole subject as well. Not to mention, some of his assignments are pretty unconventional, though I have yet to learn what that means, exactly. I think the only other class I've been this hyped up about was Journalism, haha. :D

    After almost a week of snatching whatever time I could in between travelling, and working, and all those silly daily chores...

    ...I finished the Mistborn trilogy.

    Ugh, this guy. How do people create storylines like that, build them up over the books, not lose track of them and somehow manage to tie them all up neatly in the end. I held off reading this series for a while because I was afraid it wouldn't live up to the hype, but I have to admit I'm a (late) convert.

    This should probably be in the Literature thread, but I haven't read a series as compelling as this one in a while and so it is a rave.

    My brother got Alloy of Law as well, and gave it to me right after I finished the last of the trilogy. I opened it up and saw the note he made about the RPG and was like 'WHERE'

    I really can't afford to get addicted to another game though :(

    The Black Forest concoction that Tracy threw together. I'm sitting here making entirely inappropriate MMMs and getting weird looks from every mouthful.

    It's not traditional Black Forest. She's crumbled a chocolate muffin, added a handful of pitted cherries and chocolate chips, drowned it all in chocolate mousse, and drizzled raspberry sauce over the top. It's not so much sweet but perfectly blended on flavours.

    It happens to go nicely with the pear and honey tea I am drinking too!

    She does a version of Rocky Road with chocolate muffins, chocolate chips, these tiny marshmallow things, jelly babies cut in half, and covered with custard.

    About the only authentic desserts that she sells and doesn't make herself are the slices of red velvet cake. And those are decadent.

    Probably going to have a giant black forest cake made for my 30th, which I'll get to eat all by myself because nobody likes to play with me. :P

    I have Cthulu Gloom, which I love, but I'm tempted to get the original so I can get expansions as well, and just to mix things up a bit. :P But yes, a really fun game with a tiny set up time, and small price tag, which are two things most of my other favourite games do not come with!
