Golf on TV while I perused the Achaea forums -- feeding my 5 month-old daughter until she fell asleep. Carried her upstairs and noticed it was one of those wonderful gloomy-skies-on-a-summer-day moments (rain in the air) outside. Walked into the nursery and my wife had fallen asleep in her glider with our son (also asleep).
I thought I sliced off a chunk of my thumb while using a mandolin to cut potatoes. Mandolins are deadly, but the slider guard thing on this one that theoretically prevents you from losing your fingertips is useless. Anyway I couldn't feel anything because it was such a sharp cut. After I got done vibrating with shock at the wound, got a bandaid ready, and worked up the nerve to pull out the flap of bloodied flesh, it turned out to just be a sliver of red potato peel. Yay for not hurting yourself!
Glad to hear you weren't hurt, Bluji. My mother once sliced like the top of her thumb off trying to cut a watermelon in half. I was at work and didn't see the actual wound, but I was told there was a lot of blood and she had to wear a bandage for a long while. :X Been somewhat wary of ceramic knives ever since.

Oh those mandolin are so freaking scary. I'm petrified every time I have to use one. I'm pretty sure the person who invented it meant it to be used as a torture device and not a kitchen implement, that's the only possible thing that makes sense.
Janeway: Tuvok! *clapclap* Release my hounds!
Krenim: Hounds? How cliche.
Janeway: Tuvok! *clapclap* Release my rape gorilla!
I am either the luckiest person on the planet or I just am the luckiest person on the planet.
Last week: Car accident insurance deal with stuff, get punched in the face 8+ times, was told I might have a baby on the way, and then on Friday I was laid off.
Today everything has been mostly resolved: Car accident insurance stuff worked out. Brother and I made up with beer. Told today that she is not pregnant. Qualify for unemployment.
^For those that do not know, in order: Ann Arbor, brother fight, I abhor the idea of having children, I like to work.
I am retired and log into the forums maybe once every 2 months. It was a good 20 years, live your best lives, friends.

You get a little action at the Medieval Festival there, sparky?
Some of you may note that the call center job uh..let's just say was not working for me!. The Rave is that today I am able to hand in a notice to my hiring agent and say my goodbyes. For now, I have a job as a computer technician where I repair computers and test hardware components daily. Sure 12 hour shifts, fun, but at least it will be doing what I have went to school for and what I love to do.
And the best part! No public people calling in to yell and pitch a hissy fit because their phone is not at there location, or they can't verify the damn password that -they- put on the account, or that have 0 idea what they are doing and cannot even get to the spot for the remote sessions to start...yeaaah. I'm already feeling better just to know all of this So @mycen@florentino@carmain@alynna@harmonia@Sartan and everyone else in Mhaldor: you will be seeing me much more with this new schedule.

TohranEverywhere you don't want to be. I'm the anti-Visa!
I baked something and didn't set the house on fire! (Yes, it's happened. I'm rubbish at baking.) Food turned out pretty good too!
I saw cows and goats and horses yesterday with @Lachlan. I am most definitely not a farm person, but I have seen a few cows and the one we saw was just massive. It was like a small hill.
Also goats are funny.
Horses still scare the shit out of me.

Two awesome movie nights in a row with a friend, some family issues getting resolved, and a few other good things going on. What has been a really horrible week is finally starting to look up some.
My wife and toddler-age daughter are out of town in Florida this week visiting family. Although I've missed them, I've been able to accomplish so much in Achaea over the past few days. Hooray for being able to play longer than ten minute intervals and finally accomplishing an enormous goal of mine in game.

Had a "life is beautiful moment":

The feeeeels.
PS, no Lego underfoot, thank goodness.
Dad still sorta functions. And he causes massive lols when he hands me "things"(AKA, imaginary) and I have to put them places.
Or when he asks, "When did you get married?"
I'm not married.

Moved back to Oregon exactly 4 weeks ago, and I start my new job tomorrow! It'll only last through the end of August, but at least it's something.
