That's right, I finished the garden. Finally, after soo much work and trying to find actual dirt, and tears, yes tears.
It was this day, 28 years ago that my mother was told by her caregiver in India that I was crying because I was possessed and I would only be at peace when I was smothered to death.
Seven years later, My mom was told that I would always be developmentally 8, I will never work, I will never be on my own and I will never do anything but be a danger to myself and others.
Today was introspection, as I did some thing that required hard work, determination, and last minute changes to plans. It may seem simple, working in a garden, but to me it's hurdle, and one more finger to the people who say 'you will never'.
