Spent all morning putting in a raised garden bed. Now I've showered, I'm eating key lime frozen yogurt, drawing a little, and watching a movie. Later I'll head down to the bar to drink beer and watch the US vs Portugal game with fellow 'mericans . It's a lovely day off. Really fantastic.
Dear god no. Anything but soccer...I mean, it's not like it's a real sport anyway...but really. No wars? Have you not seen soccer riots?
RIOT!!!!!!!
You know the reason soccer riots happen right? It's because people sit around for 90 mins watching something that ends up in a 0-0 draw. They need to do something to alleviate the boredom.
Janeway: Tuvok! *clapclap* Release my hounds!
Krenim: Hounds? How cliche.
Janeway: Tuvok! *clapclap* Release my rape gorilla!
I don't get why people complain about football for lack of goals. It feels like such a Michael Bay opinion to hold.
My rave is the thrilling games that have happened so far even with a small amount of goals. Brazil vs Mexico was soo tense. I can't wait for the Group A decider tomorrow

I don't just complain about the lack of goals. I just find soccer a boring game in general. But then I hold the same opinion on other sports like afl, cricket, rugby and "sports" like racing.

Racing is only good when they crash.
And then to even see that you have to watch the news!
Reese's is awesome. Second day of work, one of the cleaners shows up with a whole bag of Reese's Pieces and starts doling them out to everyone. I ate like..3..then my colleague gave me another 2.

I quit smoking. Huge deal for me because I used to be super-addicted to drugs and I replaced that with smoking to get into the military. Not like 'hey bro let's blaze a joint' addicted, but legitimate live in my car and shoot heroin addicted. I feel like quitting smoking is getting rid of that last vestige of my old self, that the addictive portion of myself is still there but I've learned how to subdue and stop him. I'm really happy right now.
@Aoghinius, @Eiredhel, @Tyamat... for constantly being my moral support during my medical tests and definitely the first one for trying to help me get rid of my stress. I really don't know what I'd do without you guys. Hearts all day long.
@Kei, @Ainia, @Taraza, @Carmell, @Nieelensars, @May, and a few others... for being really AMAZING friends and constantly being there for me even though I do turn out to be very, VERY annoying and needy some of the times. I love you.
My rave is for the World Cup. I don't really watch sports, but I'm absolutely loving this World Cup. The games have been awesome.
I can't get into cities rooting against each other as in most American and international sports, but entire nations getting into one team crosses some excitement threshold for me. I'm all hoarse today because I was screaming at the tv so much during the US v Portgual game yesterday, and I'm already rev'd up about our game against Germany on Thursday, even if we're fairly likely to get spanked.
On that angle, here's a video from Chile that includes those miners that were trapped and improbably rescued. It's super melodramatic, but I fall for it.
The games last night were brilliant. Up until the last five minutes Brazil could have easily finished their group second, being forced to face Holland in the round of 16, which probably wouldn't go well for Brazil... i still think they'll struggle against Chile.
I'm English, but frankly we've been dull this tournament (already out). I'm looking forward to the Group G decider Germany vs USA much more. I wouldn't be surprised if USA upset Germany with both teams' form recently. It will be a tense and great game

@Sarapis I completely agree with the entire nation thing. I like the World Cup because of the world. I like the excitement of the nations. It makes me sublimely happy. More than the Olympics.
Slight rant: Within the next few days, we are going to be involved in the horrible process of moving.
Rave: We are going to be moving out of this hellhole! I hate living here. Our new apartment is half a mile from my job and the place has much better schools.
Tiny rant: We will probably be without internet access for a week or two, so no Achaea.
Rave: We're moving!
Mishgul wanted Jesus to fix my banner. Neither of us could get it right

Moving is such a mixed bag of feelings.
It's like, YAY new home...boo so many things I've acquired over the time here...YAY new home...boo have to pile it all in the car/hire movers etc...YAY new home...boo no internet access.
Although, if I remember correctly, when I moved out, the first thing I did was arrange for a new internet connection, and by first thing, I really mean it. Even before arranging insurance, new power/gas company, etc. Priorities.

I suggest to make a rule that every time the ball lands in the goal, it counts as a thousand goals! Now wouldn't that be exciting!
EDIT: Too bad J.K. Rowling had that idea before me.

Installing windows 7 on my macbook (alongside Mavericks & Ubuntu).
UPS guy just took most of my worldly belongings away on his truck! Hopefully we will be reunited in Oregon. Hopefully.
Oh, and I leave this @*(&# city in less than 23 hours!!!
If it's UPS the guy will probably get them half way there, then say "fuck it" and bring them back.
