Naturally when Thiev picks up new arties, I have to design them...
A serrated bone dirk
Stained with fresh blood, a dirk of jagged bone has been left here.
A large bone of unknown origin comprises the bulk of this savage-looking dirk, pieces of sinew still visible along the surface. Forming what would be the blade of a normal dirk, the sides have been chipped away at to create vicious serrations along them to allow the ripping of flesh with each thrust. Fastened tightly to the lower section are two smaller bones, wrapped with strips of leather to create a makeshift guard. Wound tightly below are strips of flayed and cured flesh, affording a sturdy grip to the wielder in combat.
Steel, polished to a high sheen, forms the body of this deadly weapon. Curving gracefully, the metal blade slopes from hilt to sharp point, the steel a lithe, keen arch. Blossoming from the quillons, veins of emerald stretch upward through the metal, each striation winding forward until ending before an etched calla lily, the flower blossoming upon the face of the scimitar. The lily stands out starkly as frost webs outward from the blossom, cool mist tumbling from it in an endlessly cool breeze. The heavy grip is wrapped in crimson leather, ensuring a comfortable hold upon the weapon, the weight balancing the slim blade. Etched into the surface of the pommel are the images of twin dragons, black and gold, entwining around each other in an eternal chase.
a mist-wreathed amethyst scimitar
Looks exactly the same, but amethyst instead of emerald.
a mist-wreathed obsidian shield
Again, mostly the same but in obsidian and shaped for a shield instead of a sword.
a frosted lily pendant
A chain of silvery platinum wraps this pendant around the neck, the minuscule clasp so tiny that the necklace appears to be a singular, endless link of metal. Suspended precariously off the chain, a pair of small hands clasp together as a place setting, their fingers rendered carefully into platinum as they quest upward to wrap about the pendant's centrepiece. Rising delicately from between the clasped digits is a small calla lily forged from solid ice. Clipped low from its parent, a single large leaf curves from the stem outward, its broad, veined surface curved still as it was to catch dew in the early morning. Perched atop the narrow pillar is the blossom itself, the willowy stamen rising stoically from the plush petal. Much like a dancer, the petal curls in about itself near the flower's base, wrapped around itself before it expands upward and outward, the flower opening into an expansive collar. The back of the petal dips a little from its own weight, further revealing the interior depths of the blossom. Wrapped around the entire pendant is another layer of frost, chill dripping off it in layers of mist, the calla lily suspended in the globe like a moment captured to be forever witnessed in its suspension.
a frosted lily earring
Elegant in its simplicity, this exquisite white gold earring dangles from a barbed hook that has been lightly brushed with diamond dust to give the appearance of an ever-present coating of frost. Suspended precariously from the barb is a small globe, forged from solid ice, within which sits a small calla lily. Clipped low from its parent, a single large leaf curves from the stem outward, its broad, veined surface curved still as it was to catch dew in the early morning. Perched atop the narrow pillar is the blossom itself, the willowy stamen rising stoically from the plush petal. Wrapped around the entire earring is another layer of frost, making this earring freezing to the touch.
a vined wedding ring accented with a frosted lily Thanks to @Kyrra for tweaking bits.
Intricately crafted from strands of luminous white gold and polished obsidian, this slender wedding ring has been hewn into the likeness of a thorned chain, each barb lightly brushed with diamond dust to give the appearance of an ever-present coating of frost. Soft and careful etching on the surface of the ring bears the faintest impressions of curved markings that come together to form a vine-like pattern. A number of brilliant, faceted emeralds have been set flawlessly into random points along the indentations, giving the outline of the vine a shimmering, verdigris light. Inlaid in the centre of the ring is a small amethyst stone that has been afforded such attention to detail that it almost realistically resembles a lily in full bloom.
Still have to design wings, another ring and my Mayan bracelets. I'm down if anyone has ideas! Will happily pay a reasonable fee.
I like my designs to be encountered in the world, but you're probably not looking closely at @Proficy while he murders you.
He's grimdark.
a grimly taloned cloak of copper-tinged samite
The heavy fall of this once regal cloak bears a passing resemblance to crushed silk, but is better suited to the small fortune of bronze and silver thread spun through it. At one moment the fabric is an unassuming, sea-dark green, the next a coppery cavalcade of nightmares as it swirls at the ankles, the hem tattered and rank with old blood. Motion and illumination bring to light the scenes of carnage and death that are lovingly embroidered across the aged samite. A cherub crawls broken at the bottom border, the last vestige of its wings picked apart by a buzzing swarm of gem-bodied locusts. Silent, a faceless figure carves through silver-lined clouds with the edge of a monumental blade. Gilded wraiths converge on a strange obelisk erected at the summit. Clasping the cloak at the shoulders is an inseparable brace of rusted iron, fashioned in the shape of two daemonic talons that curl in and clutch cruelly at the wearer, securing themselves in the flesh beneath. An inner lining of silvery satin adds a little flourish to the gristle.
a darkened mask of rudimentary iron
Cut from rough and fire-blackened iron, this mask is fitted too well to the face that wears it. With no apparent edges for fingertips to prise, it is almost seamed to the skin, obscuring everything from brow to chin but for the eerie gleam of the eyes. Two rectangular slits serve as eyeholes, widened with some crude instrument for a full periphery of vision. Another rectangle is carved for the mouth, with the strange acoustics of the wearer's speech echoing through the metallic slot. Expressionless, the iron would be a single coarse piece of metal, but a prominent crack spiders up from the left corner of the mouth, twisting it into a splintered half-grin and pulling one side out of symmetry. Real teeth flash behind its jagged, broken V, as something like rust or blood darkens the unpolished metal. Its simplicity makes the mask yet more unsettling: a silent and non-negotiable spectre, where it looms from the shadows.
Reaching down with a massive hand, Sartan lifts your head and draws a taloned finger across your throat, the wound closing as He does so.
Formed to the curvature of the wearer's face, this mask has been masterfully crafted from polished wrought iron curls and loops. The thick lines are complemented perfectly by airy spaces to create a framework that grows from the bottom right jaw and culminates into a grand embellishment across the left eye, temple, and forehead. Thin platinum wire has been intricately woven into a net that both gives the mask its shape and just barely obscures the face beneath it. At each intersection rests a dainty white pearl. Gossamer gemstone flowers of glistening pastels transform the blackened iron into intertwined stems and abstract petals. Multi-faceted onyx hummingbirds dot the mask, each in a different pose but captured feasting from a jewelled bloom.

Nice job, @Riell! This is one of my favorites from the Savants' Great Awakening!
Seeing all these awesome designs has been so great that I think we're going to have a House mask exhibition in the city soon!
Appearance: spectral wings of caliginous hues Dropped: Nearly imperceptible, a pair of spectral wings shimmer faintly on the ground. Examined: In an eldritch display, skeletal fingers constitute the framework of these wings; a phantasmal aura emanating from them. The narrow, elongated digits arch across the top of the wings to complete the ten foot length, projecting downward at several points in a chiropteran structure. A spectral patagium connects the sable joints, the sheer surface adding elegance to the gaunt arrangement. The ombre of the membrane begins with carmine and midnight streaks that give way to an eerie translucency, casting an aubergine shadow beneath its vast wingspan. Leathery sinew wraps over the wearer's shoulders in a macabre embrace, securing the wings firmly in place.
What they look like, minus the bright white light.
I designed the concept and rough draft of this, but @Jurixe edited it into the final product. I normally don't like such bold pieces but I couldn't let the idea of this go!
a massive warhammer of pink diamond
Carved entirely from glittering diamond, this enormous warhammer coruscates with the brilliance of a celestial star. Thin veins of some red impurity spider through the clear facets, lightly tinting the precious stone with a dusky pink flush. Despite its ostentatious appearance, the hefty instrument of war retains an aura of menace: sharp spikes crown the heavy hammer head, ready to rip through flesh and bone, and the weapon's sheer weight makes it a formidable bludgeon in the right hands. A halberd's length long, the slim handle is smooth up to the last four inches, where the diamond flares out into a series of rounded bumps for a better grip.
I designed six things that will hopefully be sold by a denizen for a special Targ festival. These are my two favorite ones. 4+ RL years back, someone I RP'd with a lot told me I should try designing something in bronze. I -finally- did.
BRIEF: a resplendent bronze vial
EXAMINED: The cool, smooth bronze of this teardrop-shaped vial has been burnished to a high shine, its fiery hue honouring the Lord of Righteous Fire. Stark and graceful, the silhouette of the Sword of Dunamis has been rendered in platinum on the body of the vial. Surrounding and rising from the sword, the outline of a stylized flame has been engraved deeply into the bronze. The vial bears no other ornament.
DROPPED: A burnished bronze vial has been left here.
BRIEF: a journal bearing the holy image of Dunamis
EXAMINED: A sheaf of fine vellum pages laid between two hammered sheets of acid-darkened bronze comprises this journal. An aligned series of holes, through which metal loops have been threaded, run in a vertical row down the left side of pages and covers both, providing the book its 'spine'. Dominating the front cover is a reproduction in metal of the painted image from the Alcove of Sacrifice: the profile of a clean-cut, noble young man gazing upward towards the heavens, cloak pooling around his shoulders and armour just visible at his neck. The man's hair is rendered in platinum, his skin in bright copper, his cloak in polished bronze; the armour at his neck is polished steel. Below the image, at the very bottom of the journal's front cover, the name DUNAMIS has been engraved. The journal's back cover is stamped with the city arms of the Dawnspear.
DROPPED: A hammered metal journal has been left here.

For @Tasus (armour was designed jointly, sword was designed by me):
appearance: a stygian suit of full plate bearing an eagle
dropped: A suit of full plate bearing an eagle lies here.
examined: Protective plates forged from the stygian bones of a black dragon cover the torso, fitted for the best possible defence, forming the base material of this suit of full plate armour and extending to cover both arms. A matching fauld and tassets protect the lower waist, hips, and thighs, the cuisses and greaves covering the legs with a poleyn at each knee to allow for flexibility and ease of movement. A coordinated system of rivets and slender strips of blackened steel hold the suit together, mostly obscured by the overlapping forged pieces but complementing the bone's dark hue where they might be revealed. Gleaming silver inlays the breastplate, taking the shape of a giant eagle captured mid-dive in a returning strike on its prey. Its chest puffs out with exertion, tail feathers extending from behind the body, carved into the silver with painstaking detail. The wings flair out, held aloft by the pauldrons guarding both shoulders and upper arms. A perfectly cut ruby constructs each feather on both wings, delineated with blackened steel filigree. The claws of the eagle close over oval rubies, the talons darkened with ochre to resemble the red of the gem itself. Twin desert black cobras wind around both forearms, inlaid in the gauntlets in a myriad of shadowed black diamonds that take the shape of scales and eyes, grounded with blackened steel. The hues and glittering materials of each creature are just different in quality enough from the bone gauntlets as to render them visible upon close visual inspection or distant illumination.
appearance: a massive bastard sword of stygian bone
dropped: A massive bastard sword of stygian bone lies here.
examined: Similar in construction to a longsword, the much heavier blade and longer hilt of this massive bastard sword renders it a two-handed weapon. The expansive blade, forged from the stygian bones of a black dragon and sharpened to a lethal edge, contains striated hues of charcoal and deepest midnight. Rather than gleaming as a steel blade does, the unusually matt material appears to swallow any available light. Blackened steel forms a crossguard and grip with a large, glittering oval onyx at the pommel to prevent it from sliding from the bearer's hand in combat. Matching black leather wraps tightly around the grip, providing comfort and security to the hands. The form of a slender desert black cobra winds around the hilt and over the crossguard, crafted masterfully from blackened steel inlaid with shadowed black diamonds cut into the shape of scales and eyes. The dark hues and materials making up the creature complement those of the hilt, pommel, and blade.
For the upcoming Logosmas masquerade ball:
SARI
appearance: a magnolia-embroidered sage and blush sari
dropped: A sage and blush sari lies here, neatly folded.
examined: A single layer of whisper-thin Colchian silk dyed sage green winds several times around the waist to form the barely opaque skirt of this sari, one end of the long piece of fabric tucking in just below the navel to secure it to the body. The remaining end fades from sage to a pale pink blush, wrapping around the torso and over one shoulder, where it leaves much of the chest and arms bare. Elaborate antique ivory silk needle lace, tightly sewn, creates an attenuated border around the edges of the fabric in a design of magnolia petals. At scarce, irregular intervals, matching antique ivory silk thread embroiders the silhouette of larger magnolia blossoms across the expanse of the sari, each one surrounded by wide leaves delineated in a slightly darker shade of sage.
SARI BLOUSE
appearance: an unusual sage lace sari blouse
dropped: An unusual sage lace sari blouse lies here, neatly folded.
examined: A wide, opaque layer of nearly-nude blush silk wraps around the bust, lining this sari blouse for the sake of modesty. Sage green needle lace covers the silk and extends beyond it from the collarbone to just above the navel in a motif of magnolia blossoms and leaves. A cleanly curved boat neckline reveals much of the shoulders and neck, though matching lace sleeves cover the arms to both wrists. The hemlines at navel and wrists terminate in an irregular, abstract edge reminiscent of petals.
SHOES
appearance: blush lace cage heels
dropped: Blush lace cage heels rest side by side.
examined: Warm, light wood and pale blush pink leather form the soles and tapered three-inch heels of these delicately crafted shoes. Attached to each sole, a cage of intricate blush needle lace covers the foot entirely from toe to ankle, the slender threads reinforced with tensile silk and sewn so tightly together as to form a cohesive layer, nearly obscuring the wearer's skin in places. Upon close examination, a pattern of magnolia blossoms and leaves can be made out in the lace, and it terminates at the ankle in an irregular, abstract edge reminiscent of petals.
MASK
appearance: a half-face mask adorned with a magnolia blossom
dropped: A half-face mask adorned with a magnolia blossom lies here.
examined: Urubamba clay fired into the most delicate ceramic and cut to leave almond-shaped holes for the eyes forms this ivory porcelain half-face mask. Slender ivory ribbons secure the mask at the back of the head, looped into tiny, hidden holes at either temple. Blush pink needle lace lends texture and a hint of colour to the piece, sewn to reveal and adhere to the porcelain beneath. The blush and ivory hues complement the mask's sole adornment, a magnolia blossom shaped from mother of pearl and fastened at the left temple. Five wide outer petals shimmer in nacreous milky white striated with touches of palest pink, surrounded by leaves cut from precious peridot. Petals and leaves both flare out beyond the edges of the porcelain to graze the cheek, brow, and hair. A second layer of smaller inner petals crafted of the same striated nacre unfurl to reveal a tiny rose gold stamen at the centre of the blossom.
NECKLACE
appearance: a magnolia branch and hummingbird pendant
dropped: A magnolia branch and hummingbird pendant lies here.
examined: A slender rose gold chain winds around the neck, secured with a toggle clasp, suspending a small pendant of matching rose gold at the throat. The base of the pendant takes the shaped of a branch, both sides curving upward in a circle and bifurcating into a few tiny stems and leaves at odd intervals. At the lower right side, a hummingbird of pale green peridot alights on the metal, feathers etched into the precious stone in lifelike detail. The bird's head and signature long bill tilt diagonally up to the left, wings held aloft and tail extending just down beyond the pendant's frame. Miniature, nacreous five-petaled blossoms dot the three stems irregularly scattered along the left curve, marking the branch as one of a magnolia tree.
Appearance: an elegant rapier of frosted cobalt Dropped: Tendrils of frost spread outward from beneath an abandoned rapier. Examined: Crafted from a mixture of pure cobalt and ice from the deepest reaches of Sllshya's Maw, this rapier is both an artisan's masterpiece as well as a duelist's weapon. Intricate tendrils of cobalt flow from the crossguard to just above the pommel, providing a measure of protection to the wielder's hand, while a wrapping of violet regasco hide forms a sturdy yet comfortable grip. A core of elemental ice acts as the pommel, eternally frozen within its cobalt bindings and offering a firm counterbalance to the slender blade. Barely two fingers in width, the blade itself flows with razor edges into a wicked barb at the point. Etched along the surface are jagged designs reminiscent of shattered crystals, the lines gleaming slightly in contrast to the darkness of the metal. A thin miasma of frost emanates from the guard along the blade, the gelid vapours lazily enveloping it to leave a faint sheen of ice that refracts and distorts the jagged etchings beneath.
I have been doing a -lot- of designing this past month. Mostly commissions for people, a couple of artefact customisations for myself (shield and shackle), and an artiepet. These are my favorites so far.
a battered iron buckler
Battered and dented, its once-fine etchings
faded to mere scratches in the metal, this round shield has evidently survived
many battles. Despite these signs of wear, no rust mars the shield's black
iron, bespeaking both care and continuous use. The images etched upon the
buckler are discernible, if only faintly: an open eye above two crossed arrows
on the central boss, a howling coyote near the shield's bottom right edge, and
a stylised pyre at the top left. -----
a sealskin mariner's cloak
Made with the unforgiving seas in mind, this
calf-length, hooded cloak is sewn from the skin of a Kamleikan harp seal. It is
a mottled greyish-brown in colour, and its outer surface has been carefully
oiled to keep the seal leather supple and waterproof. A leather drawstring at
the throat allows the hood to be tightened when raised, securing it against
high winds, and room has been left in the shoulders to permit the maximum range
of motion. A tiny bow-and-arrow has been burned into the bottom left corner of
the garment.
-------
Dikeia, a young desert coydog
Part coyote, part desert pariah dog, nothing about this canine's elegantly proportioned form suggests domestication. Ever alert for threats, she regards the world suspiciously through almond-shaped, amber-coloured eyes, more slanted than a domestic dog's and set beneath expressive brows. Her long, tapered muzzle conceals a lethal set of ivory fangs, and her large, pricked ears swivel to catch sounds on the breeze or in response to her moods. Her paws are large, with flexible toes and curved, spike-like claws; a plumed tail curves over her back or sweeps downward as she chooses. This young adult coydog is at the peak of health, her musculature clearly visible beneath a sleek coat of sand-coloured fur. Powerful shoulders and hindquarters, sinewy legs, and a flexible, catlike spine lend her movements a distinctly predatory grace.
RANDOM REACT: A young desert coydog opens her mouth in a
luxurious yawn, revealing a long, pink tongue and two glistening white rows of
formidably large, sharp teeth.
-------
an etched steel shackle
Carefully dulled, the
steel which forms this heavy shackle glimmers with muted threat. Etched figures
from legend and myth enact their deeds across the fetter's outer surface, at
odds with its austerity of design. Scene follows scene: Lucaine Pyramides is
shown as a youth fighting to escape his Kashari masters, and as an unarmed man
pinned by swords to a tree; a grimly smiling mhun, khopesh at his feet, faces
the rajamalan Ambassador K'shin; Lord Dunamis duels the Marvinogian; the forces
of Light battle ancient enemies in a scene from Al Qalat's tapestries. Glyphs
copied from Adroushan's walls line the top of the shackle.

long, pink tongue - no such thing as "long pink" so comma glistening white rows - "glistening" modifies "white" as in "glistening white" so no comma
Checks out. +1
little, black dress thick, yellow rope
deal with it.
Not that simple. My usage choices here were based on speech rhythms. You (or at least I) would pause between long and pink, but not between glistening and white... or between little and black. Thick and yellow could go either way. Also, while glistening -could- describe the teeth as well as the color (they are glistening with saliva, after all) I really needed those commas in "long, pink tongue" and "large, sharp teeth". Having three sets of comma'd items in a row would have been ugly and awkward to say out loud.
I use different rules for academic and professional writing, but I also don't get to wax poetic about the inside of my murderpup's mouth in those situations. Unfortunately.

I'm beyond excited at the awesome Blufest items Cyrene got. (Thanks @Neraeos!)
I got to design a plush that makes me happy every time I squish its belly and it yawps at me.
Appearance: an orchard blackbird plush Dropped: A small blackbird plush tips forward on narrow legs, beak pecking at the ground. Examined: Crushed black velvet, smooth and glossy, surrounds a generous amount of stuffing to form a plump blackbird plush. Glittering black enamel eyes look greedily around for treats, and a beak of stiff orange leather gapes open in a wide gawk. Several layers of velvet are quilted together into floppy wings and a tail, appearing slightly too small for the rotund creature. Ribbon-wrapped wire emerges from the bird’s underside in thin legs that end in four splayed claws. SQUEEZE PLUSH As you squeeze the plump belly of an orchard blackbird plush, its orange beak yawps open with a rusty squawk. As $person pushes on the plump belly of an orchard blackbird plush, its orange beak yawps open with a rusty squawk. PUSH PLUSH You carefully perch an orchard blackbird plush on the ground and tap its outstretched tail. The plump bird teeters wildly on gangly legs, beak tipping forward to peck furiously at the ground. $+person perches an orchard blackbird plushie on the ground and taps its outstretched tail. The plump bird teeters wildly on gangly legs, beak tipping forward to peck furiously at the ground.
Appearance: a chaotic charm bracelet of Ashtani pride
Dropped: A gold charm bracelet is here, a violet sheen evident in any flux of illumination.
Examined: Crafted from the finest gold and polished to a lustrous sheen, a number of tiny chain links are moulded to form this bracelet of eight Ashtani charms. Perhaps the first representation of the Seat of Chaos, any inflection of light reveals a nearly imperceptible coating of violet lacquer. Dangling from carefully chosen links, the trinkets represent life and culture within the city. A small golden catherine wheel and a minuscule basalt carving of a volcano are first in the symbolic series, followed by a tiny golden octopus, a silver charm in the shape of an open eye and a pair of crossed golden spears. The next charm is wooden, carved to resemble a Thalassian seastrider and the one that follows is a small chunk of blackened iron, cast to form a metal tank. The final charm takes the shape a small obsidian fly that resides on a golden spiderweb. Several extra links of chain dangle freely to allow the bracelet to be clasped around any size wrist. Etched into the clasp of the bracelet is the small insignia of a skull atop crossed battleaxes.
Azure lightning crawls across the three blades of an abandoned bone boomerang.
Sculpted from the shoulder-bone of some monstrous avian, this three-bladed boomerang is the perfect amalgam of durability and weight. Intricate scrimshaw covers every surface of the ossified weapon, a round cabochon of iridescent rainbow obsidian in the central hub providing stability when thrown. Minute sparks of blue lightning crawl across the wings to their bronze-capped tips, imbuing the boomerang with a coruscating azure nimbus.
Tharos, the Announcer of Delos shouts, "It's near the end of the egghunt and I still haven't figured out how to pronounce Clean-dat-hoo."
Forged from Targossian silver alloyed with
platinum, this pendant is a miniature copy of a Lothosian dagger, possessing
all the menacing grace of the original despite its diminutive size. Approximately an inch and a half in length, the
double-edged blade is sleek and finely pointed; iron wire coils about the
dagger pendant's tiny hilt, mimicking the black manta leather that would wrap
the grip of a full-sized weapon, and a single white seed pearl sits proudly at
the centre of the handguards. A steel chain runs through a hole drilled
horizontally through the top of the haft; an engraved bow-and-arrow adorns the
chain's clasp. --------------
a golden pyre pendant
The graceful lines of
this flat, gold pendant form the stylised image of a sacred pyre. It hangs from
a thin gold chain, the clasp of which bears an engraved bow-and-arrow emblem. ---------------
a crystal spider pendant
A diamond-cut crystal the size of a
sparrow's egg, prismatic rainbows glittering from its many facets, serves as
the body of this arachnoid pendant; a cluster of tiny, frost-blue sapphires,
cunningly set within minute depressions at one end of the body, stand in for
the spider's myriad eyes. Eight platinum legs, feathered as if with hoarfrost,
and a pair of platinum mandibles complete the miniaturized likeness of one of
the Fissure of Echoes' fearsome crystal spiders. The pendant hangs from a thin
platinum chain, allowing it to be worn around the neck; the chain's clasp is
engraved with a bow-and-arrow emblem.

a poised black dragon
pendant
: Carved in impossible detail from a single
black spinel, this miniature wyrm's scales gleam with a sombre lustre. Socketed
ruby eyes glare imperiously from its draconic visage, casting a burning glow
upon the surrounding black gemstone, and sinuous, pointed horns sweep elegantly
back from the elongated skull. Depicted in the midst of an aerial combat
manoeuvre, the dragon's wings fan out beneath its body as it strikes upward,
claws extended towards an unseen enemy; the dragon's slender neck curves
inward, mirroring the position of its tail, and its open jaws display rows of
meticulously rendered, needle-sharp teeth. A thin bronze chain, seemingly
caught and tangled in both sets of talons, serves to secure the pendant about
the wearer's neck.

With @Aelyn's help to counter my laziness, I decided to redo some things since I had figurines left over from the promo anyway.
Appearance: a pair of shadowy corvid wings Dropped: Resembling a shadow, a massive pair of wings lies unfurled here. Examined: Glorious in their feathered construction, this pair of wings easily spans eight feet in length. A cacophony of slate-hued feathers lines the entire surface, achieving functional organization despite the jutting angles of several primaries. Each vane is packed so densely that the wings are remarkably velveteen to the touch. Corvid in inspiration, the charcoal tones resemble a shadow enfolding the wearer, highlighted by violet streaking from rachis to tip. The sound of flight is muted by the buoyant collection of downy epaulettes fanning across the shoulders.
Appearance: a winged shield of black diamond Dropped: Muting the light around it, a shadowy shield has been left here. Examined: Comprised almost entirely of blackened diamond, this shield is impenetrably rigid yet thin enough to be supported by a single person. It is sculpted to flare at each edge in the form of jagged wings, curling sufficiently to provide protection without weakening the barrier. Multiple facets are fashioned over the surface to accentuate the material's shimmering nature. Though inflexible in structure, the marbled onyx and slate tones soften the hues of the otherwise imposing shield. Affixed to the inside are straps of charred leather allowing it to be fastened to the wearer's arm in combat.
I designed these myself with the help of @Truax to make me sound more smooth and elegant. You can really tell if someone is used to crafting or not. Regardless, here they are!
Appearance: A small steel chest covered in arcane runes.
Examined Description: (chest for house-themed ritualism)
Rectangular in design, this small chest has been fashioned from pure steel, iron, and gold. Powerful symbols that have been etched into the entirety of the container to support potent Aeonic and Shadowmancy spells, primarily to prevent the caster from backlash from the powers of Time and Shadow. The inside of the chest features deep, intricate patterns to keep a person's shadow contained for a small period of time. The small ravines are lined with iron and gold, forming an 8-spoked catherine wheel at the epicenter of the impression, as well as smaller wheels on each side of the inner chest walls. The Iron of the chest is warped, and the lock, sundered. The entire item seems to thrum with an unseen energy.
Appearance: A horrific, igneous bastardsword
Examined Description: (Level 3 artie for my friend!)
Forged from the molten lava of simmering calderas along a scorched isle, this obsidian bastard sword is little more than a massive hunk of raw volcanic glass with jagged edges to shred the weak flesh it is dragged across. An uneven crossguard and hilt of harvested bones is emplaced to ensure a perfect counterbalance to the irregular horrific igneous blade. Heavy, yet resolute in its structure, the blade has been tarnished with the blood and gore of the slain. Amid the gruesome remnants of flesh and ichor, runes reminiscent of a troll's macabre touch are sketched to incite fear.
Appearance: A midnight-black wolf mask of obsidian.
Examined Description: (My house mask)
This obsidian mask mimics the features of a midnight-black wolf. Small eyeholes provide ample vision for the wearer, while the detailed maw and nostril of the wolf provide areas of entry for air to the wearer's nose and mouth. The wolf's visage is permanently etched into a growl, it's fearsome snarl revealing teeth of silver. Underneath the mask is a smooth surface that fits the face well, giving comfort to the wearer. The mask covers the entire head, its ears and fur portrayed as if the beast were in motion, hunting down prey.

No problem. Probably 90% of the reason why I came back to Achaea is because I missed describing things in minute detail. If you start doing that in writing or conversation in real life, people tend to think you're fucking weird.
My avatar is an image created by this very talented gentleman, of whose work I am extremely jealous. It was not originally a picture of Amunet, but it certainly looks a great deal like how I envision her!

He's grimdark.
Seeing all these awesome designs has been so great that I think we're going to have a House mask exhibition in the city soon!
Dropped: Nearly imperceptible, a pair of spectral wings shimmer faintly on the ground.
What they look like, minus the bright white light.
a massive warhammer of pink diamond
4+ RL years back, someone I RP'd with a lot told me I should try designing something in bronze. I -finally- did.

For the upcoming Logosmas masquerade ball:
Dropped: Tendrils of frost spread outward from beneath an abandoned rapier.
Huzzah.
a battered iron buckler
Battered and dented, its once-fine etchings faded to mere scratches in the metal, this round shield has evidently survived many battles. Despite these signs of wear, no rust mars the shield's black iron, bespeaking both care and continuous use. The images etched upon the buckler are discernible, if only faintly: an open eye above two crossed arrows on the central boss, a howling coyote near the shield's bottom right edge, and a stylised pyre at the top left.

a sealskin mariner's cloak
Made with the unforgiving seas in mind, this calf-length, hooded cloak is sewn from the skin of a Kamleikan harp seal. It is a mottled greyish-brown in colour, and its outer surface has been carefully oiled to keep the seal leather supple and waterproof. A leather drawstring at the throat allows the hood to be tightened when raised, securing it against high winds, and room has been left in the shoulders to permit the maximum range of motion. A tiny bow-and-arrow has been burned into the bottom left corner of the garment.

RANDOM REACT: A young desert coydog opens her mouth in a luxurious yawn, revealing a long, pink tongue and two glistening white rows of formidably large, sharp teeth.

an etched steel shackle
Carefully dulled, the steel which forms this heavy shackle glimmers with muted threat. Etched figures from legend and myth enact their deeds across the fetter's outer surface, at odds with its austerity of design. Scene follows scene: Lucaine Pyramides is shown as a youth fighting to escape his Kashari masters, and as an unarmed man pinned by swords to a tree; a grimly smiling mhun, khopesh at his feet, faces the rajamalan Ambassador K'shin; Lord Dunamis duels the Marvinogian; the forces of Light battle ancient enemies in a scene from Al Qalat's tapestries. Glyphs copied from Adroushan's walls line the top of the shackle.

I got to design a plush that makes me happy every time I squish its belly and it yawps at me.
Dropped: A small blackbird plush tips forward on narrow legs, beak pecking at the ground.
SQUEEZE PLUSH
As you squeeze the plump belly of an orchard blackbird plush, its orange beak yawps open with a rusty squawk.

Etched into the clasp of the bracelet is the small insignia of a skull atop crossed battleaxes.
indigo-soled shoes bearing a claw-shaped heel
Azure lightning crawls across the three blades of an abandoned bone boomerang.
Sculpted from the shoulder-bone of some monstrous avian, this three-bladed boomerang is the perfect amalgam of durability and weight. Intricate scrimshaw covers every surface of the ossified weapon, a round cabochon of iridescent rainbow obsidian in the central hub providing stability when thrown. Minute sparks of blue lightning crawl across the wings to their bronze-capped tips, imbuing the boomerang with a coruscating azure nimbus.
a silver dagger pendant
Forged from Targossian silver alloyed with platinum, this pendant is a miniature copy of a Lothosian dagger, possessing all the menacing grace of the original despite its diminutive size. Approximately an inch and a half in length, the double-edged blade is sleek and finely pointed; iron wire coils about the dagger pendant's tiny hilt, mimicking the black manta leather that would wrap the grip of a full-sized weapon, and a single white seed pearl sits proudly at the centre of the handguards. A steel chain runs through a hole drilled horizontally through the top of the haft; an engraved bow-and-arrow adorns the chain's clasp.
--------------
a golden pyre pendant
The graceful lines of this flat, gold pendant form the stylised image of a sacred pyre. It hangs from a thin gold chain, the clasp of which bears an engraved bow-and-arrow emblem.
---------------
a crystal spider pendant
A diamond-cut crystal the size of a sparrow's egg, prismatic rainbows glittering from its many facets, serves as the body of this arachnoid pendant; a cluster of tiny, frost-blue sapphires, cunningly set within minute depressions at one end of the body, stand in for the spider's myriad eyes. Eight platinum legs, feathered as if with hoarfrost, and a pair of platinum mandibles complete the miniaturized likeness of one of the Fissure of Echoes' fearsome crystal spiders. The pendant hangs from a thin platinum chain, allowing it to be worn around the neck; the chain's clasp is engraved with a bow-and-arrow emblem.

a poised black dragon pendant
: Carved in impossible detail from a single black spinel, this miniature wyrm's scales gleam with a sombre lustre. Socketed ruby eyes glare imperiously from its draconic visage, casting a burning glow upon the surrounding black gemstone, and sinuous, pointed horns sweep elegantly back from the elongated skull. Depicted in the midst of an aerial combat manoeuvre, the dragon's wings fan out beneath its body as it strikes upward, claws extended towards an unseen enemy; the dragon's slender neck curves inward, mirroring the position of its tail, and its open jaws display rows of meticulously rendered, needle-sharp teeth. A thin bronze chain, seemingly caught and tangled in both sets of talons, serves to secure the pendant about the wearer's neck.

Dropped: Resembling a shadow, a massive pair of wings lies unfurled here.
Dropped: Muting the light around it, a shadowy shield has been left here.
