Return the favor by killing Mhaldorian novices, or by killing the Mhaldorians that are killing the Targ novices? Option 1 is wholly unappealing. Novices are people too.
There are too many Cyrene laws that keep my hands tied with Mhaldor and Targossas issues. I'd love to start killing Mhaldorian novice murderers, but if it's not a direct threat against me then I can't do anything in order to maintain peace. All I can do is issue, tell the novice to stay out of manara, or bitch. I like bitching the most :P
That sounds like something that could be solved by just sending a message to someone reasonable in Mhaldorian leadership. Since they were extremely pissed when @Avianca was hoist devouring our novices. So said person would probably get a rough punishment.
I personally only hit enemy novices when they hit me first. =\
Lord Marshal Hasar Lichlord's words quietly thrum through the air as he says, "No one panick." #2015PEACEthedream!

@Jeslyn Specifically why I chose Eleusis over Cyrene. If I feel like killing Mhaldorians or Ashtani, I can. None of this, waiting for them to raid thing. None of the, oh no, if I kill this jerk for hurting someone I care about,I might get in trouble. Hell, if I feel like a raid, mention it to my pack mates and we are sure to come up with something.

I warned you that Manara is prime Targossian novice hunting for Mhaldorians. Ha! I can't count how many times I led a targ novice through there, when I see them wandering aimlessly, only to have them snatched from me. Or have had to do a rescue mission to get them out.
Also by the death logs you most likely were fighting an alchemist. An alchie against a priest is the most mind numbingly longest battle ever no matter how high a level they are. A few I did lasted a good 20 minutes until my rift of 1000 ran out, the arena time ran out, or my absolve landed. If noone is teaching you anything about priest, I'll hit you up. ♥
Meh, I was feeling confident and wanted to get level 60, which I did even with the death. You live and learn. I'll talk to you next time about priest though as I haven't been approached yet.
Focus on results and you'll never see progress. Focus on progress and you'll see results.

Ashtan deserved to win that Icon battle. They came so well-prepared with 35+ alchemists, brought the entire(?) A-team and half of us weren't even logged in when they started and we were missing most of our fighters.
Icon might not have fallen if we had a synchronized counter-plan and more Eleusian fighters were around but it was fun. Defense wasn't mandatory with the Ren just around the corner.
Its kinda funny, by virtue of the order of the Renaissance, the city that least needs Icons gets to hang onto them for the longest.
Not saying there's favoritism or anything at play, but that's probably something that should have been considered way back when.
I'm sure Ashtan would love to trade places with Hashan!
Why? They're waiting on Eleusis for their renaissance too.

Not sure if you misread, but was pretty much agreeing with Merador. If Ashtan needs their Icons less than everyone else and Eleusis is too close to finished, then the only ones they can trade places with is Hashan so Hashan can keep their Icons a little longer.

The bitterness just never ends does it? Why so much hate?
Also I'd gladly have given up icons to get house renaissance first. I lived without them for a year when I was houseless and I didn't miss the constant need to strengthen them.
Spent the entire day teasing the hell out of @Rom, after getting me killed. It was -glorious-
Still doin' it.
Sentinel Guardian @Rom Corten says, "Now I believe Akiabah is waiting for his NI." @Ellodin says in a quiet but clear voice, "His Northern Ithmia." Sentinel Guardian Rom Corten says, "Yes." You shake your head sadly from side to side.
Sentinel Guardian Rom Corten says, "You're a Hierophant, could you please draft up the deed for him." Sentinel Guardian Rom Corten says, "I'm sure that's how it works." Ellodin says in a quiet but clear voice, "I already gave it to someone else, sorry." Rom scowls miserably. Sentinel Guardian Rom Corten says, "I will not forget this." You frown and say in a quiet, soft-spoken voice, "He's going to be displeased."
Rom, riding a timberwolf, leaves to the northeast, a wyvern reflected in his eyes.
Ellodin utters a deep, rumbling laugh. You say in a quiet, soft-spoken voice, "He'll have forgotten it by next month. I guarantee." Ellodin says in a quiet but clear voice, "Probably before then." You say in a quiet, soft-spoken voice, "I won't be surprised if he's forgotten it by tomorrow." Ellodin says in a quiet but clear voice, "Probably already has." You nod your head slowly, trying to wear your best wise look.
...And then his forgetfulness spread...
You say in a quiet, soft-spoken voice, "Probably forgot why he even left here." Ellodin says in a quiet but clear voice, "Who?" Ellodin scratches his head in confusion. You shrug helplessly. Ellodin says in a quiet but clear voice, "No idea what you're talking about." You say in a quiet, soft-spoken voice, "No clue."

Do, like... do I have to follow them too?
