Tharos, the Announcer of Delos shouts, "It's near the end of the egghunt and I still haven't figured out how to pronounce Clean-dat-hoo."
Not missing the point. But you're -still- missing the point, about it being assholish to not enemy someone for doing the EXACT same thing at the EXACT same time, and responding in much the same way.
Again: BE LESS DENSE.
She was _just_ enemied. Klendathu's hardly going to turn up with a thankyou card and a cake, is he? Also, if you took the time to read my response, you'd see I already admitted to a mistake. Klendathu's not going to show weakness and admit to the mistake to someone he's just enemied.
To the best of my knowledge, there's been no interaction between Klendathu the character and you (player or character), so I assume you're indepth knowledge of Klendathu's character and RP is somehow genetic knowledge.
Question: Do you enemy the first time someone dies to something there or do you take into account that the person may not have been warned prior, thus not know that this is some kind of Order-protected area? From the help scrolls you cited, I wouldn't have guessed that and not everyone is old enough to remember the Nerai/Vastar war.
(Fact fans, voice dripping with venom is the mood when a green dragon sends a tell, not an indication of Klendathu's actual mood)
Tangentially unrelated, but hearing a green dragon speak or send even the politest of tells still makes me do a faint double-take when I read the "dripping with venom" part ("frosty tones" from a blue dragon as well). I know it's not intended by the person, but it's still kind of amusing. How does a tell, which I always take as telepathy/a voice in the head, drip with venom? Emotions could be read from the tone (so happy, sad, surprised, etc.), but venom? The "burning with heat" from a red dragon? The gold dragon "thrum" might work, but the others are all kind of odd.

@Bluef, people are generally spoken with and warned first. However, if we're met with a lot of attitude in response, people end up enemied on the first offense. We keep track of the people that have been warned.

It's got nothing to do with the Nerai / Vastar war. Atavians were created by Vastar, therefore it can be surmised that hunting them may lead you to be enemied from His order, much in the same way as I would expect Klendathu to be enemied to Phaestus' order if he hunted Inhbr Ness, etc.
As for whether warnings are given, often they are, but when Ashtan and her icons are being attacked regularly by Eleusians (and vice versa, I know it's not one sided), stricter rules can be applied. Ultimately, as one of the Masters of Vastar's order, Klendathu is allowed to exercise his discretion on enemying and unenemying as he see fit, warning or not.
I will not be responding any further to this matter as I think it's run its course.

Obviously it has nothing to do with the Nerai/Vastar war, but that was the first time that people could get enemied (and killed) for hunting Arcadia. That's why it was mentioned. I'm not sure how widely known outside of Ashtan this stance is; the GoM and their crusade to rid hunters from Moghedu is a little well known anyway.
I thought that during that conflict (and in terms of the GoM) there had been a ruling issued that organizations that did this kind of thing (enemy and/or hunt those who hunt their protected denizens) had to issue a warning first. I just wondered if that was still a hard and fast rule. Thanks for responding!

I think the warning first thing is only before you kill them for the second offence, not for emenying itself.

@Sarathai 'dripping with venom,' 'frosty tones,' 'burning with heat' are all just figures of speech to describe how their voices sound inside your head. I just imagine that dragons simply don't have full control over how they convey their voices telepathically, so depending on their type they always come across in a certain way.
And you won't understand the cause of your grief...

Seragorn can answer quite a few of those since he's reached a good chunk of those levels, and may even remember some of the ones Penwize hit. But yeah, otherwise have to ask Penwize or an admin.
I took a two day break and just sailed my little heart out. Did two ship trades I had been sitting on for over a month with @Saeva, @Ast and @Xer, and did a good bit of fishing with @Saeva, and then later with @Cresil and @Aiseiri. It was a really needed break for both easy conversation and relaxing roleplay, and now I feel much more refreshed and able to tackle things needing to get done.
Also updated the points project and encouraged a few of the slaves who were feeling a bit unmotivated. It seemed very successful, so now I'm going to try and apply the same to other slaves to get things rolling even more.
Been fighting Targossas more lately than Ashtan (though I still see them some too), which has been a really nice change of pace. I feel like we're more evenly matched in person:person ratio, in both numbers and skill.
Getting to know a few Mhaldorians I hadn't before. As always, there's surprises behind every corner as I get to know them. It always keeps me on my toes!
Chatted with @Aodfionn, which in consequence let Mel unleash a bit of pent-up anger and led into eventually confusing him. My favourite mix.
Some mischievous things I will not name. Mystery!
And today, I finally just sat down and slammed down a jewellery design that had been on my mind, as well as my first sermon that I waffled and waffled on for weeks, unable to find the inspiration to write it... but today it just came out no problem. Very very pleased about it. Hoping to host it tomorrow and that its well-received. For some reason, sermons are much harder for me than rituals or speeches (both of which I've done on the spot without breaking a sweat before, so it's annoying sermons are that much harder!).
I am feeling very pleased and productive lately. Hope its a continuing and upwards trend.
And I love too Be still, my indelible friend That love soon might end You are unbreaking And be known in its aching Though quaking Shown in this shaking Though crazy Lately of my wasteland, baby That's just wasteland, baby
Got a rather random and anonymous letter, which someone seemed inclined to spark some sort of goose chase or the like with. Unfortunately, the details were a bit...iffy, and other aspects of the letter's contents questionable at best. Nevertheless, was interesting enough I suppose, to get something out of the blue like that.
I'm pretty sure she was a Cub when she was following me around on a quick shard hunt last week. I think. I remember not being able to go to any of the aggressive hard-hitting places, since I kept worrying that I'd be getting one of @Samanthya's novices killed.

Birdcage Pavilion (indoors). Constructed piece by piece with sections of painstakingly curved bentwood, the Birdcage Pavilion establishes itself as the centrepiece of the Oakhouse's gardens. The ebonized frame details a stunning arabesque of shining black lacquer while allowing a view of the verdant surroundings. A canopy of oiled leather protects the interior from some of the elements by providing a modicum of shade and shelter. The heavy leather hangs only low enough to reach the iron-wrought border of stained glass in brilliant hues that encircles the upper reaches of the pavilion, allowing unobstructed light to cast rainbows upon the densely padded floor. Covered in white oilcloth to complement the effect of the stained glass, the padding consists of layers of raw, thick cotton in removable blocks and is thick enough to double as a mattress for the occasional nap. It is because of this that a small rack for footwear has been placed by the entrance to the pavilion as an unspoken request to avoid sullying the floor unnecessarily. A sigil in the shape of a small, rectangular monolith is on the ground. A runic totem is planted solidly in the ground. A curtain of nacre beads hangs across the arched egress of the pavilion. There are no obvious exits.

Sprawling Gardens (indoors). Pathways of closely trimmed lawns and white-and-indigo gravel shape the sprawling landscape into artful sprays of colour. Although maintained to ensure even footways across the garden, care has also been taken to allow each shrub and tree to grow in as natural a shape as the landscaping allows, resulting in a lush and slightly wild environment of cultivated flora. A cage-like pavilion of sinuously curving bentwood has been erected at the very centre of the garden in the midst of concentric rings of rounded river stone. A much smaller stone formation precedes the pavilion, sitting almost unnoticed in the shadow of the central structure. To the northwest by the Hall of Veils, a looming acacia tree nearly hides a small door under its shade, while to the east, a high but well-trimmed hedge separates a portion of the garden from the ornamental greenery. A sigil in the shape of a small, rectangular monolith is on the ground. A curtain of nacre beads hangs across the arched entryway into the pavilion. You see a single exit leading in.
probe curtain Strings of black and white nacre beads hang across the entrance of the Birdcage Pavilion like a curtain. 200 each for non-decay, custom, resetting plus the reaction to move you into the room so you need 1 in each room.
I'd actually been sitting on this for a year now (since before I went dormant!). I thought 400 creds was way over the top. But every time I went into that room and saw that bloody north exit in the middle of nowhere... *twitch*
I'm surprised that was allowed, since it was auctioned before. And I never saw the end of that auction, but the bids for the custom exit got up to 686 at least, so 400 is a lot cheaper.
