I won't lie though, I wanted to go for Mhaldor first because I figured they'd be pretty supportive about the whole affair, and I was not disappointed. No guards or font used despite us straight up bringing more than their cwho, the shouts were encouraging and sporting (in a Mhaldorian way), the fights were fun. Not every raid can go like that, but for a city trying to find a more martial footing and a force that included a -lot- of first-time raiders and inexperienced fighters, it makes a big difference.
So props to our western neighbors for being pretty great sports about the whole thing!
We love our shopping mall, even if we come in and trash the place up more often than you guys'd like some times.
EDIT: for real though, if you'd told me a decade ago Cyrene would not only allow raiding but come hard with it, I'd have scoffed. It's one of the few things lately that feels genuinely new and changed and I'm here for it.
Gave some pets away to some novices, and yelled about steel prices some more. Also got my new outfit from Shirszae, so I'm just waiting on my current customisations to pass through before my 'usual outfit' is set for, well, eternity. I so need some new art of how Meri looks now, after all her years of getting healthier.
I was only recently bringing up in a discussion that it is a shame that a non-pvp perspective in Achaea just isnt on the books to thrive. Conflict builds adversary builds interest builds profit and that is the script we go by. I've felt bad for Cyrene and its players over time on the basis and provocations that they need to change, because they dont fit into the 'factional' image. Cyrene had a staggering playerbase count (and still does) based on players wanting a location to just RP to be themselves. I do hope they find something that works for them in current Achaea.
Made a few more novices happy and earned a new honours line from a certain story-filled quest while evading Mezghar's deadly advances. This infamy stuff lasts so long!
Lyndee asks you to join Targossas. Type AGREE if you wish to join.
Sacred blessings suffuse your soul as an ethereal cloak of star-bright refulgence drifts about your form, anointing you in hallowed Light.
Vetrize, a black and white leopard turns her gaze upon you suddenly, white fur rippling majestically as, without warning, the panoply of black spots coating her transforms to a sea of gleaming gold.
An impressive creature of indeterminate provenance, this oversized feline radiates a sense of unfettered elegance. Ice-white fur covers the entirety of her lithe and supple body, flowing like a coat of tundral silk that shifts effortlessly with even the slightest of movements. Interspersed with thousands of gleaming golden spots, the pristine mane blends with these myriad markings to create a captivating appearance. Powerful shoulders and strong, robust limbs accentuate her muscled physique, adding to the sense of deadly grace that encapsulates Vetrize in both appearance and gait. Golden eyes blaze with predatory intelligence upon a wary and regal visage, set above a vaguely square-shaped nose. A profusion of snow-hued whiskers frames her cheeks and mouth, within which a pink tongue rests amid teeth and fangs.
This pet is easily the best thing I ever spent credits on.

Got to explorer rank 60 and found uhh... approximately 30 furniture samples for the city logs. Tired. Also was excited to finally be off of infamy, went to clouds... and got killed by Mezghar who thought I was still infamous. Oops. Not gonna hire because I don't want the drama (also I'm poor), but it at least incentivised me to be a bit more careful to not rush into things.
Decided to cancel my thrice-rejected ringmail adjustment for now, as Blademasters might be getting scalemail soon apparently? So I'll wait 'til then and then hope and pray I can get my arte ringmail changed to scalemail... X_X
I keep winning duels in the Aegean tournament that I have no business winning, but we'll see if dumb luck and slough can carry me through to the finals.

Dang I wish I had your luck! Good job you are doing well!
My mare was killed, partly likely my own fault, but, I'm still sad. I was hoping to someday gain her a boon of wings or something so she could fly free with Ryssa.
Did a massive hunt and huge hoisting of my commodities onto some cities to hopefully make someone happy. Stayed up way past my bedtime. I am EXHAUSTED. Really having to wrack my brain for where else I'm missing for explorers, now... Other than the obvious "House estates" and order temples and such.
The lightning bolt finishes a mhun guard off, and as he dies, his eyeballs explode from their sockets with the fury of the storm.
You have slain a mhun guard, retrieving the corpse.
You have learned a new Attainment ability: Dragonhood.
Your soul cries out in ecstasy as it reaches new heights of power. You have advanced to level 99. You have reached the illustrious level of Greater Dragon.
Finalyyyyyyyy. Thank you everyone in Eleusis for turning up for my Dragon ritual. Thank you @Irissa for taking time out of her schedule to perform it for me. Thank you @Yikez for keeping me supplied with herbs. Thank you @Oceana for spotting me that lucky elixir for my final push. Thank you @Jidgai for keeping me motivated. Thank you @Kala for letting me use her ship so much. Thank you to all the Divine for your hard work in creating such a great world to get lost in. Thank you to the Kin for being such an awesome House. I'm sure I'm missing a lot more people, but those are all I could recall off the top of my head at the moment.
I realized that I have no right to complain about people shelling out thousands of credits in auctions. I apologize for all the times I got upset about auctions being broken and inaccessible to all but credit card warriors. If I may bring a disgusting, filthy rant here, I feel it's appropriate due to the content.
For the record, I am not at all saying that this is a reasonable expectation, nor am I saying people should do this to compete in auctions and the like. Merely that the possibility does exist at the extreme no-life level to 'catch up', but I don't agree that it is a good balance. Renown is great for saving for actual artefacts, not for auctions.
Hi, I'll use reasonable numbers. If I bash for about two-three hours throughout the day, get in a party that splits the gold from daily forays, and then generally go on about my day I can easily - when focused and trying - make 75,000 gold daily without really cutting into anything but my afk chatting time that I can also do while hunting.
75,000 gold x 120 days = 9,000,000 gold.
9,000,000 / 11,000 = 818 credits.
Renown capping daily nets 20 credits/day x 120 days = 2,400.
So, reasonably speaking, I could make 3,218 credits in a four month period.
Fun twist: I did this because I was trying to prove a point. The point turns out that I truly do shamefully waste a ton of time. In one year of doing this four days a week (because I'm a working adult, let's face it) would be
52 weeks in a year x 4 days a work = 208 days of this.
75,000 gold x 208 = 15,600,000 gold. 15,600,000 gold / 11,000 gold per credit = 1,418 credits 20 credits from renown daily x 208 days = 4,160 credits
1,418 credits + 4,160 credits = 5,578 credits in a year for me, a working adult who plays the game instead of afking and watching youtube drama videos.
I cannot emphasize enough how much I cannot complain about people shelling out thousands of credits in auctions because it turns out that I, too, could do that if I actually tried to do it.
edit: Sleepy math is bad math edit: Twist number two, I'm not even a dargon. I'm only level 90.
I apologize for all those times I told my friends not to try Achaea because of the pay wall. I was entrenched in the same defeatist thinking that many other people are. This is completely on me. Thank you guys so much for the generosity you've given us as players. I can think of no other game that is simply this generous. I admit is has not always been like this, but I consider this undeniable proof that you truly do care about our wallets just as much as us.
I will put this in very simple terms that everyone can understand.
If you buy the largest credit package, you will spend 27.5 cents per credit.
27.5 cents/credit x 5578 credits = 153,395 cents.
153,395 cents / 100 cents per dollar = $1,533.95.
Let me be crystal clear. A working adult who averages reaching the above numbers four days a week will accumulate $1,533.95. I challenge you to find a mainstream online multiplayer game with at least as much depth as Achaea that literally gives you $1,533.95 cents of merch a year.
$1,533.95 cents could pay my bills for two months.
$1,533.95 cents could fix my car that went to the shop today twice.
$1,533.95 cents could get me into a Disney park ($115 as the high price according the website) 13 times.
Get the hell out of here if you think Achaea costs a lot of money to play.
You, like me, truly are lazy. We literally have no excuses.

I fully admit to being lazy. Which is why I was so annoyed about the auction. But then I stopped being lazy and just went and beat up some elementals and defected the normal way. But this is totally it. I could have most of the things other people have, if I put in the effort that they do. I could reach the cap each day, I just don't because hunting sucks (and I'm lazy). So I fully agree. I can't complain that someone like Penwize has all this fancy stuff, when he's the one putting in the work to get it.

She has banished the daemonic serpent Yuthka, freeing the Oracle of Prin.
Today:
She dueled and defeated the leader of the Conclave, Yudhishthira.
I proceeded to stand there in the room staring at my screen in shock just to have Yudhi dragonform and completely obliterate my face. It was neat.
