Just one little golden nugget; the original Help 19.9 (the current one in-game doesn't include numbers):
"For those interested, Achaea is currently running on a dedicated server (meaning the only thing on it is Achaea) with a 2.8 ghz P4 processor, 512 megs of 1066 mhz RDRAM, and a motherboard with a 566 mhz front-side bus. It is smokingly fast."
Solo raided Hashan fully expecting to die a quick death. Sholen and Kasa engaged me and I was able to tag a Sanction. Hashan pulled out the big guns and @Armali showed up to help defend. They throw me at guards, I died. Called in my big guns.
We pulled off the tank by the skin of our teeth thanks to some smooth last minute moves by each person. @Austere/@Penwize last 2 alive in 1 wave. @Hirst using earthshaker to stop the last minute disarm. Much fun was had by both sides. I died a lot.
You dive behind cover as the massive flame-infused creature reaches critical mass. Screaming in rage and pain, a whirlwind of flame explodes with a massive blast, decimating almost everything in the surrounding area. As the elating experience of victory washes over you, you feel your understanding of the world improve.
Reading that events post...compared to the summary...it feels like two different stories >>.
Wouldnt it be better to post that strange short-story on its own and then the events of crashing on sapience (and burning cyrene) on another? I dont know, my opinion I suppose.
I woke up with little sleep because of our new puppy. Groggily log into Achaea. See a Mhaldor Rampage. "Oh boy I'll see all my old pals." Forget I'm an enemy. Forget my homunculus. Leave Rampage. Absentmindedly hit return to home alias. Of course, immediately die in Mhaldor.
And I love too Be still, my indelible friend That love soon might end You are unbreaking And be known in its aching Though quaking Shown in this shaking Though crazy Lately of my wasteland, baby That's just wasteland, baby
Oof, I guess the war didn't teach Eleusis their lesson. Sad days are nigh. Everyone buckle up, the Rants section is gonna get heavy with forestal tears

I reckon if you bothered to do a search and figure out the ratio of tears you'll find less Eleusians crying than Mhaldorians. Not to mention the population difference. In any case, I'm still laughing about all the messages and tells I got thanking me from people who preferred dying to watching @Cooper dance. Even Aegis favoured us for it so hey, bring it on, it's all fun. Sorry if you don't agree
After all the times Eleusis has been breathrain trained in their groves, at atop, even at village meetings we've been forced to hold all meetings indoors! Hehe.
Felt good to turn the tables for once, even if the haters want to act like we are the only ones who have ever done this.
"Fun" is certainly what you guys didn't think the last war was... but hey, if you changed your minds, we look forward to what is to come! Just bookmark these posts for later, in case you guys start bawling again about how we're not fair and how it's too much, and how you refuse to log in because we're such terrible, awful people. Pepperidge Farms remembers...
Uh sorry guys, that was really scummy. The event they were hosting was actually really fun and well thought out, and it wasn't just Mhaldorians there. Maybe next time you should ask for an invite to the party before you start kicking over tables.
Didn't die, gonna get lots of XP from it. Hard to say I'm crying about it but I am rolling my eyes in anticipation of more discord breakdowns about how we're griefing Eleusis.

Ok! But I'm guessing we'll have to cop it on the chin from the sobbing crowds as well since we instigated it. Don't discord and not even sure why I'm foruming right now, but I'm up for it. Disclaimer: I do not claim to speak for other Eleusians or in fact anyone else. I called it fun. I enjoy defending and raiding. Sorry to those who don't, and also those who take a game so seriously that they have to vent frustrations here.
Just gonna say, y'all did the same thing when Targossas hosted a discussion that had been planned for nearly the same amount of time. Breathrained us and killed plenty of Cyrenian novices. Not saying it wasn't a good thing, was actually kind of funny looking back, but calling Eleusis out for breathraining an RP event when y'all do the same is kinda laughable.
Edit: Also not saying what Eleusis did wasn't shitty, imo it was very shitty.
Honestly it was just a minor inconvenience since the only people who true died were novices. That said, I do think it's petty to breathrain a preplanned event, no matter which side does it. But, it happened and we'll definitely retaliate for it, which I'm sure you all took into account.
Still, it was a very fun event. A bit chaotic to plan it all in a week since our MoCA doesn't exist, but it went pretty well. Big raves to @Cooper for helping out and being very open and helpful and all that. I hope everyone had fun!
I went to the Mhaldor Ball, thought hrm we look vulnerable to a breathrain and dropped gravity vibe to be sure. Then I journaled to do some OOC stuff and came back and people were dead cause my vibe poofed.
I don't really care too much about the breathrain tbh. I just know if we retaliate we'll be the griefers which is silly.
The ball was super fun though! So many people showed up, lots of them not Mhaldorian. Conversations were funny and the dancing was nice too. Plus the costumes were great.

N'aw. I already told them what was going to happen the second they started discussing doing it.
Most just thinks it's rich when either side complains about it happening, "muh rp event u guiz r teh griefers fak off," when we all know the other side would do it without batting an eye, if the opportunity presented itself (and have done so. Many, many times).

(Mhaldor's Next Top Model): Melodie says, "Get rekt scrubbbbb."
(Mhaldor's Next Top Model): You say, "Scrubbbssss."
(Mhaldor's Next Top Model): Trey says, "Austere was hangin' out the passenger side of his best friend's ride, apparently."

I feel like there has to be a comfortable middle ground somewhere between "no retaliation at all" and "weeks long grief fest".

Achaea doesn't want Mezghar to be legend.
Penwize has cowardly forfeited the challenge to mortal combat issued by Atalkez.
This had me remembering (perhaps fondly) of logging into Achaea on a telnet client in my college's library back in 2001.

Really, though. The deathsight explosion was hilarious

It's a dull cycle, but it's what happens.
