  • I'm using the web client. :( I know I should switch over to Mudlet since there are no curing systems for the web client, but I really like the layout of it and fiddling with Mudlet to get a layout I like sounds like the least fun thing ever.
  • @Anokhi The same thing may still work - I -think- that the web client is GMPC enabled by default, but I'm unsure how to send timers through it.  @Cidusii, you've done this before, help her out?

  • For the HTML5 client:

    var keepAlive = setInterval(function() {do something}, 60000);

    Does anyone know whether the taste/smell of an item can be customised? If so, how much would it cost?
    Not something we currently offer, but we're considering it!

    Is there a maximum timeout? I set my timeout to 60 minutes but I swear it still disconnects me after like 20-30 minutes.
    There isn't one server-side, but many home routers and ISPs will disconnect an idle connection after a certain time period.

    As above, it's definitely not your timeout. Max is 65000 minutes.

    Which is 45 days, 3 hours, 20 minutes.

    Which Divine Orders are the most active, and which are the least? This won't affect my choice of order, I'm just curious.

    This is really something that should be discovered through IC methods. Ask around, learn about the different orders, find out who is in which order. Some are secretive about their members, but most aren't. All that being said, its usually safe to assume that the most active orders are the ones that have active, or recently active, Divine. There are of course some exceptions to this rule, but not many.

    Thanks. You're right, of course. I should've known better. :(

    Consider it harder, I've asked like four times. While we're at it, can we customize the cologne/perfume bottles to spray self, too? :(

  • KyrraKyrra Australia
    I want to customise the scents in those bottles.

    @Tecton @Sarapis @AnyoneElse

    If any one of us has an idea for a new class, is there a possibility of getting some kind of assurance or rejection based on the likelihood of such a class being implemented? I don't mean a 'Yes', or 'No' (although that is fine too. Acceptance is, of course, awesome - just as much as a flat-out no), but just even the briefest amount of feedback regarding the propriety of the thought-up class existing in Achaea.

    I don't want to spend the hours needed on developing balanced mechanics and flavour of the class if there's absolutely no chance for it to exist, that's all.

    If anyone else knows the answer please feel free to chime in.

    - after reading HELP CLASS DESIGN, I guess it's just making it and hoping for the best, haha.
  • TectonTecton The Garden of the Gods
    As much as I would like to, the file pretty much sums it up! It's not something we can make any form of assurance or preliminary greenlight on. If you've got the time and inclination to do a full proposal up, great, I'll definitely read it over and keep it stored for when we're next considering a new class.

    If you put pancake batter in a waffle maker, do you end up with waffles or waffle shaped pancakes?

    You need to make sure you add the oil to the pancake batter if you are going to put it into a waffle maker, otherwise you will end up with a mess. The oil not only keeps a waffle moist when it is cooking, but also helps prevent sticking to the waffle maker. I am presuming you are meaning the american style pancakes (with a rising agent) rather than a more European, which is more crepe like (and really wouldn't work). :)

  • Irrelevant. Ribeye steak and fried eggs is best breakfast.

    @Rakon, was for dinner actually.

    @Ourania, they were always heart shaped! I think they did have a rising agent in them though, because I remember them being thicker than pancakes. I wasn't aware that I'd need a different sort of batter for them. That is still so nifty and I'm enjoying learning about these things. Thank you!

  • I am European and my pancakes are more crepe-like, involuntarily. I do not know why...

    @Ourania you are very right!

  • For a level 60ish monk, which will increase bashing speed more: +1 strength trait or +crit chance?

    Crits are so low at that level you will hardly notice it. Later however Crits and Crit bonuses are awesome. Strength you will notice sooner but later Crits will run past them. Both are good for a Monk. Strength will help in combat as well, Crits, if you intend to go for dragon, will be be more valuable.

    This is my line of thought, too.  Either way, I'll get them both.  I just don't know which to get now and which to get at 80 :(

    Edit:  Also, which would be greater DPS for a monk, then: crit chance or crit damage?
