  • I think it's just physical damage? I could be wrong, though
  • afaik it's 10% damage reduction even to typeless/unblockable like dsb
  • It's a 10% reduction to all damage, including attacks that don't have a damage type like disembowel.
  • seafaring question: What ever happened to triton ships? Was there any reason given why they were disabled?
  • Weren't they controlled by Neraeos' player? In that case, they would have been "disabled" when there was nobody in that role any more.
  • Ahmet said:
does it also apply to the portion of attacks that is normally not reduced by resistances?
Resistance applies to the full damage, it's armour that only applies to part of it.

Pretty sure that was Neeaos' territory. So along with him, they left too.

@Makarios @Nicola Why would I upgrade to the level two weaponmastery_spec artefact rather than just buying two of the level ones? It would be 100 credits cheaper and much more useful, since it would allow me to switch Weaponmastery specialisations for both my Knight classes every day (my days of playing for over 12 hours per day are behind me). If the answer is because they share a cooldown, I'm happy to file a BUG for that.

The upgraded Gem is worth it because it massively reduces the cooldown for only twice the price. I can't see more than double the price for half the cooldown being worth it, especially when a 12 hour cooldown is still limiting a large number of players to one spec switch per RL day.
    Any word on this?
  • Just make a 1 hour reset version already so I have to 4th class runie. Think of how much of my money you will be taking.

  • Expertly and lovingly sewn from lush red velvet, this small pouch is perfectly designed to hold five small chocolates. A drawstring of golden cord keeps the contents safely inside, and a heart has been embroidered on the outside with golden thread.
It has 30 months of usefulness left.
    It weighs 10 ounce(s).
It bears the distinctive mark of Qwyn.
An aromatic velvet pouch is holding:
    "chocolate246601"                       a delectable heart-shaped chocolate
    "chocolate246749"                       a delectable heart-shaped chocolate
    "chocolate248571"                       a delectable heart-shaped chocolate
    "chocolate249077"                       a delectable heart-shaped chocolate
    "chocolate254561"                       a delectable heart-shaped chocolate

What do these do? Also, weren't these removed? ANNOUNCE 4555 says they are no more.

       - Eating one of the chocolates in this pouch will grant a boon to your
         character.
       - The effects that the chocolates can provide range from experience boosts,
increased stats, critical hit bonuses, faster movement, increased
regeneration, the levitation defence, and the ability to travel to a mutual
ally. Each of these last for 24 hours. Alas, there is also the possibility
of being turned into a toad for 20 minutes.
       - If you FEED one of the chocolate to a denizen, you will receive a bonus to
all experience gained from killing denizens of that type for 24 hours.

    Huh. Neat.

700 credits, 2 hour cooldown would bring it in line with the Gem and Grimoire upgrades.

They are not. They can be shared.

Talisman pieces from the MARK or WONDERS set, I think.

  • If I bought a class slot before hitting level 100.

Will I still get a free class slot when I get to level 100?

To my understanding, any bought slots do not impact the free ones you gain at various levels. So yes, you should get one at level 100, level 110, and so on, no matter how many slots you buy otherwise.

Something about the Wunjo fix didn't pan out. Instead of sketching Wunjo first, you now -have- to sketch Wunjo last. It's been bugged, we all just have to re-order our sketching for the time being, and it should work fine.
This wasn't in the announce post, but this should be fixed now. Concerned Runewardens should be free to change up their sketching.

Your bug report (detail: Since the Wunjo fix, now it's actually required to sketch Wunjo second on the ground. Sketching it first will cause Wunjo to go off normally, but then the second rune doesn't fire at all.) - has been fixed.

Has anyone actually seen the pots of daffodils, yet? I'm wondering if they even exist.

If you grow plants from seed bought from Ijel in Petra, what do you do when the plans finally run their course and die? I can't empty my pots and Ijel won't talk to me.
  • SkyeSkye The Duchess Bellatere
AFAIK you can't really do anything once they die. You gotta humgii them or something.

  • AnnwylAnnwyl Vancouver, B.C.
I received a letter from Ijel about the plants and pots:

    Miss Annwyl,

I forgot to mention that you can probably PULL the plant from the POT to
empty it. That will allow you to replace the soil in the pot, and to
start a fresh growth of seeds once more - at least until the containers
    decay.

Feel free to spread this information to those who care to purchase the
tools from me! I will remember to include that tip in when I sell the
    pots now.

    Much appreciated,
    Ijel

    PULL <pot number> does it!

  • So I've recently learned the Alchemist class.

I have a question... is it normal for Extispicy (Increased Criticals Defense) and Astronomy (the Empower defense) to be transferable between your other classes?

Like for example... I seem to be able to empower for increased damage versus denizens and dissect a rat for improved criticals... and then switch to Runewarden to buff up with runes and go to town hunting.

However, as everyone knows... You can't do that with runes if you are a Runewarden trying to switch to other classes. Is Alchemy's Extispicy and Astronomy the exception because their mechanics are different?

That is not an ordinary star, my son. That star is the tear of a warrior. A lost soul who has finished his battles somewhere on this planet. A pitiful soul who could not find his way to the lofty realm where the great spirit awaits us all.
