When you proble an item that has artefact powers placed on it, it has a line like this: "It possesses the artefact powers of anti_web and health_sip(1)."
Do regular artefacts have that line too?
Like if someone has a sip ring, will probing it say: "It possesses the artefact power of health_sip(1)."?

Yes. p ring Constructed of pure steel, this ring is perhaps not the most beautiful thing in the world. It weighs 1 ounce(s). It possesses the artefact power of endurance_regen. It bears the distinctive mark of Rom. It will reset to you.
If you've been inactive for a while, and house/city creditsales are running, do you need to wait for another to be run before being able to buy or will it recognize once you've been around long enough again?
It'll automatically recognise. The 'time active' resets at midnight GMT on... I wanna say monday morning, or sunday morning, I can't remember which. You need a certain amount of hours played in that previous week, then if you've played enough you can buy.
Hello, wanted to ask a few questions if you are all able to answer:
after lessons I'll have 10k credits to spend as Sylvan, what would be the ideal artefact breakdown for someone wanting to bash and combat?
does strength or dexterity benefit sylvan in any way?
is it worth ignoring multi class until I'm well competent as sylvan, and what classes as eleusian would benefit from the same artefacts as sylvan?
i can't see any reason to be grook over siren over tsol'aa, am I wrong in that?
thanks in advance.
Hi! I play Rom, long time Eleusian. You will not want to invest in strength or dexterity whatsoever. I'm about to sleep so not really gonna do a full 'breakdown' of 10k but you will ABSOLUTELY want an aldar diadem, this reduces EQ recovery time (all of your abilities basically) by a whopping 15%. On top of that you'd want some level of collar (% damage increase) and sash (int increase) and then a smattering of defensive artefacts (sip ring/health regen ring/con belt/mana ring ring even). Probably also eagle's wings and ring of flying for utility.
When to multiclass is up to you! Note that it is rather expensive, as each additional class costs more than the last. That being said, Bard Magi and to a lesser extent Shaman benefit heavily from the sash and collar I mentioned above. However every other class would benefit still from the assorted arties and even the intelligence to an extent.
Tsol'aa has lower base constituion, whereas grook and siren have low base dexterity stat packs. This means they are, on paper, preferential because 1 point of dexterity is inherently useless to Sylvans (and most classes but Serpent really). However, you should pick something you think is awesome/cool/perfect for you/whatever. The stat packs are not -that different- due to race specializations, if you choose any of the high int races you will be very well off, or even some of the more balance or high con races like human/dwarf would be optimal too with an int specialisation behind them. Even still, if you wanna be a troll or a satyr or whatever then be that with a smile and you will do fine.
Hope that helps, I can maybe post more detail tomorrow. Also hit me up ingame or message me here for anything you wanna know about Sylvans, Eleusis, or anything.
Sash/Collar are largely useless to Shaman outside of bashing. Anthius isn't boosted by int (maybe bugged, but 12 int did same damage as 16 int in tests). Inflame isn't boosted by either, as well. So yeah, just for bashing they're decent.
Won't quote for brevities sake, thank you very much Rom, I think I might end up bumping into you for help .
also didn't realise that tsol'aa had one less con, do I have to role play a "beautiful" siren or can I make it rather plain? I love sirens as a race so might stick to that over frogs.
i've not played for over a decade, so I remember almost nothing and would like to refresh my memory by probing those whom are more knowledged than I

As the game notes in several places, the concept of "beauty" covers a very wide range. Different cultures consider different things beautiful and there are kinds of beauty, even just physical beauty, that defy cultural expectations (people can be "unconventionally beautiful").
I've also seen sirens that leverage the idea that the beauty is sort of supernatural - so they have a relatively plain description that maybe mentions that they seem bizarrely enchanting and beautiful despite their relatively average features. I actually think that's a really interesting direction to go with it - the idea that a human and a siren might look identical, but the siren would seem inherently more attractive or beautiful in some inexplicable way.
You can't log in as a retired character, but if you've got a logged in session, you can continue to use it until the session expires.
Not entirely true... as my session expired long ago. But I'm afraid if I post my work around, it'll get deleted.
Retired chars 4 lyfe.
Honestly, I feel like you should be able to post as a retired character. If I were to ever retire, I would try to cut a lot of strings in the process, but I would still want people to be able to contact me for things such as AK help. I hope they don't fix any workarounds you've come up with
When designing cooking items, does the smell and taste have to contain the exact phrasing of the short appearance?
For example:
a blade of grass
A blade of grass smells like springtime.
Or, could it just contain the noun like:
This grass smells like springtime.
Give us -real- shop logs! Not another misinterpretation of features we ask for, turned into something that either doesn't help at all, or doesn't remotely resemble what we wanted to begin with.
Thanks!
Current position of some of the playerbase, instead of expressing a desire to fix problems:
Vhaynna: "Honest question - if you don't like Achaea or the current admin, why do you even bother playing?"
When making an item non-decay, does the mark of the crafter remain?
There's a new option in the customisation process called RETAINMARK or something, that you can select for free if you want it to retain the original mark, otherwise when you make it non-decay it will have yours
And you won't understand the cause of your grief...

but there's no gold in my inventory? Help?
Edit: OH IT'S IN A LETTER! Okay! Crisis averted! Nevermind!
Yup. Came in a letter, which I only noticed because I was sorting through my letters. Weird, but I'll take it however it comes!
For example:
a blade of grass
A blade of grass smells like springtime.
Or, could it just contain the noun like:
This grass smells like springtime.
