I had no idea what I had been missing. 17/8/11 my first game. That E is even more fun than I thought it would be.

Those days were you get dropped in games full of trolls five times in a row, but you're the one that gets punished for either going afk or just alt-F4ing out of the game. GG Riot.

Yes, because you're making a commitment to play with five people when you accept a game, duh. :P No but seriously, you are. Trolls happen, if you feel you're getting trolled multiple games in a row, it's time to take a break before you queue up again, not rage-quit. *shrug*

That's kinda silly. League games tend to run long. Even assuming the 20 minute surrender (which I often can't get), I hardly care enough about a game to waste 5 x 20 minutes of my day.

That said, Riot can't really change much, so when you Alt + F4, you just kinda have to accept that a temporary ban might be coming your way, but whatever. There are other games.

I don't commit to wasting over half an hour of my time, every single time it happens. Much less when it occurs several times in a row. It's a game! I understand that you get a ban for leaving a game, but that doesn't mean I agree with the way the punishment system works. It's more a grumble at how often I got screwed over yesterday with League.

Alas, it happens, and there are other games.

Admittedly, I think my number one problem with LoL is the way they handle administrative action.

When people are being huge jerks of trolls and you leave a game 30 minutes in, you should not be punished. It's not like they could give whoever is reviewing the case for a ban a log to glance through to see that you were leaving due to trolls, not because you yourself are a troll.

The principal reason I'm guessing they don't do that is that the moderation queue for that game must be gigantic. Which is the other big issue: they are way too lenient about enacting punishments. The amount of times you have to AFK or get reported to get even temporary bans is insane given that you're wasting about 6 man-hours of time (9 people, 40 minutes each) every time you do it. And on top of that, any time you get banned, you can just make a new account, which makes the lower tiers of matchmaking even more hellish.

And the trolls are obviously aware of this. I have never played any game with such a significant proportion of AFKers, flaming jerks, and trolls. Nothing else I can think of even comes close. And I've watched some of my friends do it too - they think it's funny to play a troll game every now and then because "who cares" and they know they won't be punished over one game. I'm not going to get all confrontational with them when they do it, but frankly, I wish said friends would get banned over it.

Of course, they can't really enact reasonable punishments because they don't look closely enough at the cases to make sure someone deserves the ban every time.  And they can't look closely enough because they have to spend so much time dealing with toxic repeat offenders and trolls who are emboldened by the laxity of the game's moderation. A truly vicious cycle.

It's actually pretty efficient. I've left some games but only after massive and repeated abuse throughout. They read the chat logs in review and will see that there was no reason someone would not leave under those conditions. Games are lost by negative and toxic attitudes more than feeders or unskilled players, the latter being the least valid report reason, and mainly serves to make the whiners feel better about themselves.

Ahri is the greatest champ. The satisfaction of landing your skillshots, and the utility of her ult (essentially 3 flashes with AoE damage) combined with her passive spell vamp... it's perfection

I was just about to say. Morgana is on free rotation on EUW, been playing around there (better ping being in the UK) and Morgana is a lot of fun. Nice ganks for when your lane opponents recall if you're winning your lane. Especially at my low elo, being able to control the ward coverage is nice. It's not that impressive, more a testament to Morgana's strength, but she's so good at juking that after my adc (ashe) left because I accidentally got one farm after W'ing the ranged creeps to help push the lane a little faster I still managed to win the lane with a little help from our mid occasionally. The Q/W poke is brutal when people don't buy MR.

Still trying to find my favourite champ though. It changes every few days.

@Jovolo it's rare to find people who buy much armour/mr outside of boots until you start playing against people who actually know wtf they're doing. Unless they're actually playing a full tank champ like Mundo, or Maokai or something. Even on champs like Renekton/Garen people still go full damage >.>
