So, thinking about starting again. I'm like level 10 and trying very very hard to learn the game.
I typically play Cho'gath, Warwick, or Annie. I'm good at jungling comparatively, and I can also play the others...well, I'm bad, but not awful! My main issue is that I just don't feel like I'm getting any progress or learning anything - cause I played with a friend who was much much better at it than I am, so we got thrown into level 30 matches almost immediately. Don't even have flash yet
So, anyone with any good tips for a nooblet who -kinda- knows what they're doing but still fumbling around a lot?
I'm best (personally) at Jungle and Bot, in either role, though I'm trying to learn how to do the rest of them too.
When I get home today I'll try to remember one of my lower level accounts to play with people. My main account has decently high normal ELO so it's really bad to use with new people.

Because of the existence of runes and masteries and how they're unlocked, lower level accounts are at a significant disadvantage to level 30 accounts from a stat standpoint.

I was thinking of trying TF jungle. Any thoughts or tips?
I imagined he'd be an excellent help even from level 1 with his gold card, but I can imagine his lack of sustain being an issue. Considering life steal/AD/attack speed build.

afaik TF is a magic champ, and his passive only gives gold to him, not the team. Also, since the passive procs every time he kills something, it'd be massively less effective in jungle than in lane. At a glance, two of his three abilities as well has his base attack seem to be specifically designed for use in lanes (perfect for last hitting and long-range harass). This could be used to kite things in the jungle, but he probably simply doesn't do damage fast enough to kill things early game before they heal, by himself.
There do seem to be some builds for jungle TF, however they all seem to have this vague fringe attitude to them that suggests you're kinda choosing style over effectiveness, and one of the guides makes a really good point, that jungle TF can be downright terrible without the right team composition (and teamwork) to support him. As in, his real value comes in late mid-game as a ganker, which is something he can do perfectly well from a lane anyways, without having to pursue obscure, inefficient AD/AS builds to do it.
All that said, I've been playing LoL for 3 days, it could be awesome. I sure wouldn't try it though, unless I was bored and looking to handicap myself for a challenge.
Yeah, I'm considering it mainly because Warwick Jungle has been a bit easy at my low level (and I assume low elo barring smurfs), only being level 11. I enjoy laning with TF and his gold card and Q are great for harass and kiting with decent damage from a low level, it's just that his sustain would suck without prominent life steal. Might be a good counter jungler, although that's already inefficient.
Just looking for someone to jungle with that isn't Warwick, Yi or Fiddlesticks.

Give Amumu a try. Good sustainability plus cc, and good for ganks with his (I believe) Q. Also has AoE.
For some junglers that aren't too absurdly difficult to play: J4 (most difficult thing is placing and jumping to flag (and not using your ult in stupid ways)), Vi (pretty straight-forward, come out of the jungle and knock the enemy back toward your teammates), Kha'Zix (stealth out of the bushes, slow, kill, jump away - late-game just hop around fights with the leap reset, finishing people off), Amumu (don't miss your bandage tosses), Cho'Gath (eat people, get swole).
It's also probably worth pointing out that, while very easy to play, Warwick is pretty terrible after the most recent patch.
(And Twisted Fate is indeed a mage - typically played mid. You'll find guides and such for all sorts of weird non-meta placements of people, but there's usually a reason people play particular champions in particular roles. TF might be able to jungle in some nebulous sense, but he's not very suited to it.)
I just made one, but I'm at work so I don't want to spend a lot of time wading through the thread to see if one has already been created and/or to gather users. Just throwing up the ones I already know.
I've separated it into regions, Ernam's account is just in the unsure one. I'm not sure if he'd be on the asian server (I think he's based in japan) or the NA server. It should be open for editing to all? If not I'll look into changing that. In the meantime I'll add you to the NA region, correct me if I'm wrong.
It's a meme originating from over-exaggeration of his potentially frustrating qualities (mushrooms/blind/demeanor/whatever). It's been perpetuated by tons of streamers, their fans, and even Riot itself.
People hate Teemo because at lower levels/ELOs nobody buys pink wards to place in key locations. This means Teemo will shroom up every important area, then every choke point, then every spot ever, and most players will never clear them out effectively, and they take a ton of free damage.
As for TF Jungle, the biggest thing with him is that due to his low sustain early, you need to be -very- good at 'leashing' the jungle camps. If you watch Kikis play him from IEM San Jose vs TSM game 1, you'll see what I mean. You can position the jungle camps in very specific ways that keeps some of them from hitting you at all, which saves you a ton of damage. If you don't do that, you'll be low for most of the early game, and ganking/surviving invades is very difficult.

Thank you for this @Jarrod, I'll take a look at the Kikis game. I didn't realise anyone had even competitively attempted to play TF Jungle. That they've already laid the groundwork down makes it a lot easier. What are the positions in jungle camps that prevent you from being hit, or are they in the video? That'd make Champions with low early sustain so much easier for me to play around with.
Honestly I've never figured them out, they're very exact from watching him do it. Ex: A spot you pull the wolves where the big wolf resets himself trying to get around the little wolves, so he doesn't hit you until you've killed both other wolves.
Some of the camps he does are in the video, some aren't iirc. But you can see the intent on the ones he does.
Shaco jungle can be fun, but you're not very good at counter-jungling early on, and really have to use your boxes. If you play with a premade, you can drop two boxes at blue and run to red, have teammates hit it twice and let boxes finish, then take red with Smite. Gives you a decent head start.

Hit me up if you'd like to play, but identify yourself because I don't add randoms typically.
Why so many accounts?

I salvaged one and named it AchaeanJarrod, so add that one if you want to play sometime. If you're level 30 you can add Gamdo and that's my main one.

I usually play any time between 18.30 and 22.00 GMT, if anyone also plays around that time. My preference is mid or jungle.
I want to add people, but I'm not going through 85 pages to find everyone.
