also, to be late, a Carry is a champion that rides the teams back untli late game when the team jumps on theirs. Ranged isnt necessarily a determining factor as much as the scaling of the champion and their ability to carry their team to victory once fed
Trackball is quite honestly not that hard at all, it just takes a lot of time to get used to... I used to use one for a bit when my old mouse broken and I couldn't be bothered buying another one... Only issue I have is that they're big.

assuming both teams are not bad, range is usually a determining factor-- the adc with greater range can usually control lane better, avoid dying while poking/harassing, and control dragon better.. better farm earlier means more successful ganks from jungler, and a head start on that 'late game advantage'
Good points! Moot though since all I was talking about was the definition of Carry, not who should take bot lane or the strategies there-of. I agree range is great, but there are too many factors involved (jungler activity, bottom match-up, which support you use, etc) to put forward range as the most important. Caitlyn doesn't win every match up she gets.

Edward's been streaming duo queue with Cop. I honestly still cannot believe he's with Curse, but man, they're showing promise!

Just played the worst game of my short league career. I was Twitch with Nid support, against Leona/Nami. Right at the beginning they jumped out of our brush when we walked in from leashing and both did their cc on me + ignite and exhaust. Instant dead despite flash. Then Nid died as well. After that, if they landed their cc on me I'd die before I could even start moving again, and Leona started building tanky so she could dive us under turret with her and nami's cc both and get out before dying to turret damage. Even jungler and mid came down to help and they both died to the cc combo, further expounding on the problem. I ended that game 2/12
How do you lane against a duo with so much cc who can turret dive with impunity? Halp
I need to raid Hashan now to feel better about myself.

Same way you beat everything else; Play Draven.
Can't die to CC when they die before they even look at you.

Well, honestly, unless you're playing draft or ranked, there isn't a way to avoid this sort of thing. I personally never play twitch blind pick because he dies soooooo easily to so many things and has a rather weak early game in comparison to say MF, Ez, or Draven. The safest bet is either go with a tanky adc, or a long range adc like Urgot or Graves, Caitlyn or Trist.
Now, considering that you're probably having this problem in blind pick... so just focus on what you can do and don't dwell on what you can't do. Personally I like to go with tankier adc masteries that focus on reducing slows on myself, increasing my health, increasing regen, movement speed, etc. And don't worry about doing damage. Mentally lock onto last hitting. No matter what happens in a game, your CS is the only thing you can count on and it's more reliable than your skill. HOWEVER, if you are against a cc lock team, you focus on just keeping up in levels as best as you can, by quickly clearing farm under tower and getting double golems or wolves. After you die twice in lane and you and your support can do nothing, I'd suggest going mid and helping push down that tower, then go top and help push down that tower. The enemy team will have to adjust to the sudden shift in map pressure. And with a tower down you'll have a bit of gold to help with your purchases. Let them take your bot tower, as soon as they leave you waddle your little twitch butt down there and you farm and make every minion count. Have your support make sure to set up a ward line, and don't hesitate to help with wards. 75 gold is nothing when you compare it to what you'll lose if you die.
Minimize damage, capitalize on enemy mistakes, reinforce with vision, and don't be scared to go tanky. Tanky ranged carries used to be the meta, same for Ashe mid. Every time you die, think about what you could have done better, why you died, what type of damage you died to, how to adjust your positioning, and what escape routes you could have taken. Once you have all that info, remember it and move on. Don't dwell on past deaths, you can't change what happened in the first 20 minutes, but every second after that is completely in your hands and can lead to the turn around.
Practice makes perfect and it takes a really long time for muscle memory to kick in, and even then it's not perfect. But I hope this helps a little bit for anyone who is playing against their counters, or just playing a hard lane.
If I missed anything specific you needed more advice on feel free to let me know.
P.S. Barrier is the new ignite, and has a lower cooldown. There is also no shame in taking a heal. It's a great team fight summoner.
I'll give you tips on league any day if that means I'll get more chances to get better to playing Achaea.

A large part of it is not letting them get the early gold to build tanky enough to get that tanky. Another big part of it is what your lane comp is. In general, you want to poke them down (sounds like Leona/Nami?) while ensuring you have enough vision that you can easily out-range them. The most dangerous part will come at level 6, so ensure you're both at full health when they're going to hit it, or you're probably dead for sure.
The general rule when playing against any kill lane is that playing safer is more important that getting every CS. If they can't snowball, they won't be able to dive under turret without dying to your return damage + tower.
