I could care less what you think honestly.  I'm just stating facts that you can't take it IC'ly.  Instead you go for here.
You tell Seneschal Vayne des Valois, Shadow in the Falling
Snow, "Excuse me for enlisting the aid of my Rival against
your houses piety attempts to copy the Naga. Im surprised
you haven't enlisted the aid of the Ivory mark by now."
Vayne tells you, "Copy the Naga? The youngest of all the
Serpent organisations in Achaea? What a peculiar accusation."
You tell Seneschal Vayne des Valois, Shadow in the Falling
Snow, "Oh my mistake then, I had assumed since they do what
your doing far better you were copying them."
Vayne tells you, "Better? They barely endure to this day
after the reckoning the Cult put upon them not but a few
    decades ago."
Vayne tells you, "You certainly are rather fond of
    Mhaldorians it seems though."
You tell Seneschal Vayne des Valois, Shadow in the Falling
Snow, "Respect is earned in Combat, you have not earned my
    respect through it."
Vayne tells you, "I care not for your respect, you will die
    either way."
Vayne tells you, "They word I think you meant to use before.
..petty? You just illustrated it splendidly."
You tell Seneschal Vayne des Valois, Shadow in the Falling
    Snow, "If you say so."
You tell Seneschal Vayne des Valois, Shadow in the Falling
Snow, "Well that's nice but shouldn't I have done something
to you or your house before you enemy me unless fighting
back is a requirement for enemy status now."
You tell Seneschal Vayne des Valois, Shadow in the Falling
Snow, "I swear you serpentlords, Attack me, get my revenge
and enemy me to your house or hire on me one."
Vayne tells you, "You have defamed our name, I would think
the fact that we see you as an enemy is quite clear at this
    point."
You tell Seneschal Vayne des Valois, Shadow in the Falling
Snow, "I haven't defamed your name, you did it your self
with your actions, I merely pointed it out."
Vayne tells you, "Watch the shadows, rogue."
You tell Seneschal Vayne des Valois, Shadow in the Falling
Snow, "If you say so "Grand Hierach"."

That's about as icly as you can take a combat log.

Please complain more about gank logs and posting them here.

I mean honestly you don't even make sense. "Take it icly," How do you take a combat log icly? Go in the middle of mhaldor and be like so they did this and this and this?

Summoning all of your emotions, you forge them into your blade, becoming one with your sword. Unholy Fate guides your hand as you
circle Proficy in an instant, carving through his weakened body with the four fatal cuts that form the broken star. Returning
Unholy Fate to its sheath, barely a drop of blood upon the blade, you watch on as Proficy's body falls in pieces to the ground.
    You have slain Proficy.
A starburst tattoo flares and bathes Proficy in red light.

The bright sun shines down, blanketing you with its life-giving warmth. A runic totem is planted

  • Just chillax in the city and bask in the glory that is no experience loss.
  • I just don't know how to balance it man. I don't want the raiding to stop, but I don't want to walk into a kill room and get slaughtered everytime. I hate it when they get bored and leave, but I don't know what else to do. I don't want them to think we're giving up or that we wished the conflict to stop, but if situations like this keep happening, they'll just stop coming.
    image
  • Idk, man, no experience loss says it all. If they're going to sit in defendable and you really can't take them, don't try anything drastic. If they're in the city, divebomb the most annoying one with the entire city.
  • I see 8 enemies and 3 people with pit. What's the problem?
  • Send someone to deliverance and let Kard kill me with it. That jerk.

     i'm a rebel

  • Totem was the problem, and Verily was our only pitter. Payne was at crossroads the whole time.
    image
  • For some reason I thought I read Mannimar there too, so only 2 pit
  • Only had Verily, Payne wasn't defending

    image
  • Whyyy wasn't he defending exactly?
  • I don't know. I don't ask questions, unless its my House members. I just round up the eager defenders and try to get them all pointed in the same direction.

Well Hashan hasn't found a solution to that for the last 120+ years.

If I had to guess I'd say it's the citizen base. Combatants want to work with other competent combatants, who tend to flock to cities with less neutral alignments (i.e. where the action is). So what Hashan probably needs is a mass migration of experienced artied people to take up its cause.

To have that though, there has to be a cause, which unfortunately would mean the loss of neutrality. By default I believe Hashan does not exclude a member of any city from entering its gates, which no other city can claim, making it well-known for being a good commerce city. Everybody can buy stuff there.
Doesn't necessarily make them safe though. No particular mercenary force that can be bought with gold if indeed Hashan has that advantage.

Hashan is in a tight spot I guess because they've always leaned toward the dark side on principles, but is also in close proximity to Eleusis, a "light side" player. But until it has an agenda, I don't imagine its combat skill average is going to rise much.

Rubble without a cause, so to speak.

I think you're a bit behind on the times...

Hashan isn't neutral. We've got a big, incorrect image to overcome, but we're definitely not neutral anymore, and our conflicts with Mhaldor and refugees prove it.

Refugees are given a warning to leave the city immediately, if they don't, they die. We ban Mhaldorians as well.

Our agenda also pits us directly against Light/Good/refugees, so there's that, too. I think the main reason we don't get any big named combatants isn't our stance so much as the lack of opportunity to work with other big combat names.

ETA: We've already had and lost the Hashan thread, let's move on.
    image
  • Right, I just think that like Mhaldor's post-Bal'met membership boost, Hashan will need some sort of spearhead to not only dispel the image but make them enough of a player that existing good fighters (or their alts) will join.

The other possibility would be to have a focus class that is more or less Hashan-exclusive.
For example, good Necro fighters have to be Mhaldorian, good forestal fighters have to be Eleusian, good Occies are typically Ashtani.
And not sure what the deal is with priest/paladin anymore, but you see what I'm getting at.

(Cyrene has something of a monopoly on bards, I guess. I suspect the reason they don't get raided too much is that the raiders spend all their time dancing in a cave in the mountains.)
