From what I can tell from the log, Mizik could have just stayed in room, touched tree and used a fool tarot on himself aftering fixing level 1 arm with mending. He probably had fashions that could have mangled an arm too (not sure if this would stop damnation) and this is against Jester, the class without fitness and shrugging or any passive curing.
Paladin me when I hellsight and didn't see an immediate smoke
Jester is unkillable as most classes, if used correctly, which seems to be somewhat intended based on classlead submissions & results. Knight and Monk are probably the worst off, but at least knights can impale.
I've used angel sacrifice outside of arena exactly twice, ever, one of which was specifically to troll you the day after you raised a shit-storm about it on forums. (I think I've used it 2-3 times in arena, but not in ranked spars)
If you're going to make a hobby out of trolling me using angel sacrifice, lets at least limit it to one post per actual use of the ability? Seems fair.
That would require me to expend time and effort locking you, simply to have it unstoppably undone!
So, instead, I will mention it every time I think of locking you (or any other Angel Sacrificing Priest), but then think "oh, angel sacrifice" and refrain from engaging.
You can't expect someone to engage you in combat when you have an incredibly OP combat-ending ability. That's the entire reason for the complaints.
First time I used angel sacrifice, I got away 1 aff from a truelock, because I was 2 rooms from Targossas when I used it, the other time, I was 3 rooms away from Targossas, and died 6 seconds after I used it, due to not having an angel.
Just to put things into (a realistic) perspective.
As you famously like to say: Just because you don't know how to counter it properly doesn't make something OP. If I was a serpent, BM, jester, shaman, runewarden, etc, I would have easily made it the 2 rooms to Targossas just fine, as well, by simply using Evade/Travel/Raido to bail to city, instead of using angel sacrifice and tumbling my way to safety.
I'd choose an instant, unstoppable fast-travel any day, but all we have is an ability to cure us that comes with a massive penalty.
We're all becoming increasingly aware of bard's ability to truelock off a limb break. So why not just prep two arms and do it twice, after angel sacrifice. 90% sure Sacrifice doesn't reset limb damage.
Ernam, believe it or not, not everything is about you.
I don't care if you use the ability or not. That has absolutely nothing to do with whether it is OP. I can't agree to duel or combat spar any priests until it gets nerfed, since it's not reasonably possible for me to beat it.
This is frustrating and annoying. I will not argue the details with you, again, however. I'm sure I or someone else already explained how angel sacrifice has nothing to do with fast travel abilities. Find that post and re-read it.
Edit: Regarding your suggestion, THAT'S THE POINT. YOU CAN'T. Angel sacrifice heals all limb prep, so you can't do anything after it, before they run away.
I know! Every thread I'm in is about Angel sacrifice. It's not even that fun to use as a priest. Your angel is pretty much SOL after that for a good five minutes.
All we have to do is dust off all the hate we had for jester Jarrel / Daje / Bonko, and assign it to you.
I seriously wish Jester didn't exist, it's a class pretty clearly built for griefing and extremely liberal slow-prepping (can slow prep for hours at a time).
Seems silly that for years we've been systematically deleting abilities from jester, but have never sat down to do what should be done: rebuilding the class so that its combat abilities aren't centered around doing lame crap.
I think at this point, after recent changes and the generalized player attitude, it is generally accepted that "slow-prepping" is bad for combat, because it doesn't give a chance for anyone who can't slow prep back a shadow of a chance.
Jester is the king of evasion/survival (arguably the best defensive class in the game). Jester is also the king of slow prep, thanks to the existence of Puppetry, in general.
Combine a class with incredible hindrance, massive survivability, endless options for evasion, two instant, unstoppable world travel abilities, and a slew of defenses designed to avoid/mitigate various types of attacks - with the ability to slowly fashion someone up...
... and you have what shouldn't be seen as anything other than the perfect recipe for slow-prepping. The list of methods available to Jester to walk into your room, fashion a few times, and poof out of existence is outrageous. If you aren't a monk, blademaster, or maybe sylvan, you may as well just heartstop or refuse to fight a Jester, because you're never (by design) going to get more than 2-3 consecutive attacks.
This type of stuff is why I have, and will continue to, refuse to interact with jesters in any form of combat, particularly in arenas, where the only counter to Jester slow prep (run away and stand by for bleed spam / invisible recklessness) is not possible.
Jester is a rather scary class just because they have so many different ways to construct an offense, and like Dunn said, throwing together a doll is just an option.

w/e bro that was fight #3, and I was cruising for a new creative way to kill him again.
And somersault over icewall/banana peels > any other defense.
Edit: Or is Hellsight not guaranteed gecko 1st?
Edit: It is, ur all noobs. GO BACK TO UR SCRUB TIERS AND DON'T TALK TO ME
Edit: Jester fking hard. Especially vs Paladin.
Only, you forgot the:

Hope this one is brief, I look forward to actually being willing to fight Mizik again.

So what you're saying is that it works exactly like soulcage?
Exactly. Soulcage that can be used every two minutes AND can be used in the arena. Aka invulnerability.
As we've said before.
Insightful.
Sorry, Laurette, you too!
Granted, Terra shares some responsibility.
