I have a love/hate relationship with earrings, but on the whole I think they detract from the game (solely due to pvp use).
I think we -almost- killed Jhui in that skirmish like 4 times, just to watch him disappear and come back a few seconds later with full health. I also earringed out of mhaldorians guard stacks like 5 times yesterday. Both examples are a little OP in my opinion.
I'd at least like to see it work like gare, or require a 2 second channel or something.
@Mithridates Jhui is broken*. No other monk is gonna spec quick witted and have 19-20 int with level 3 collar and aldar diadem.
Add on staff of nicator for additional silliness.

I always just Assumed Jhui bashed his artifacts since he was a dragon before they nerfed it and you didn't need a staff of nicator to just one combo people.
