I submitted a bug on mind throw a couple of days ago, hoping to get a separate, affirmative message, but it was dismissed, so I guess knowing if you successfully threw someone is too OP :-(.
There is an ability called mind sense... it lets you know where your target is, without costing any balance or eq. Would this be what you're looking for?
And I'm supposed to remember the name and exits to every room?
I mean yeah, we have mind glance. I'm not even really complaining about it, and its not like I'm asking that throwing in a bad direction be eq-less or something. It just seems awkward as hell to me that successful throw, fail due to prone, and fail due to bad exit all have the same message, while fail due to blocking or walls or closed door has a separate fail message.
If mindthrow was OP, I'd expect there to be some other way to reduce its effectiveness without not telling you if it was successful or not.
Mind throw, then immediately mind sense right after. If room name changed, good throw. If not, then bad throw OR you have 12 rooms in a row with the same name. Looking at you @Targossas and Rally Point.
If it's not Rally Point, it's something else. It's that block of 4 rooms everyone stands on, east of the Blackberry Parade Deck or something
Averrone.
(Not that it's exactly where you're describing, but it fits the bill as an annoying stretch in Targossas with the same name in a few rooms - I think. I'm pretty sure this is the name that I can never figure out where to find people in.)

When Ashtani do that they get auto-enemied. Thank you for posting this. It further proves the other cities have the ability to yank/boomerang known cities enemies into the city without any consequence. I'm not sure exactly what setting it is, if any... probably something like CITY CONFIG TERRIFIEDBITCHMODE ON.
The difference in auto-enemying is the difference between pulling someone from defendable into the city (1 room outside city limits) and pulling someone who is not in defendable into the city.
Cascades of quicksilver light streak across the firmament as the celestial voice of Ourania intones, "Oh Jarrod..."
When Ashtani do that from outside defendable territory (i.e. more than one room outside of the area that surveys as Ashtan) they get auto-enemied. Thank you for posting this. It further proves the other cities have the ability to yank/boomerang known cities enemies into the city without any consequence. I'm not sure exactly what setting it is, if any... probably something like CITY CONFIG TERRIFIEDBITCHMODE ON.
Important distinction between what Ashtan does and what everybody else does; you're the only city with more than one room in line of sight of the city itself. If you're going to continue to whine like a little bitch while trying to put down everybody else, at least make it based on facts.
Fact 2) Hirst gets unenemied before he gets balance back from Empress.
Ah its early in the morning. Let me find the other evidence.
2014/04/29 07:47:11 - Hirst was immediately enemied for bringing a known criminal into the city. 2014/04/29 07:47:45 - Fendrel declared that Hirst is no longer an enemy. Reason: You really need to stop doing that.
2014/04/28 02:13:00 - Hirst was immediately enemied for bringing a known criminal into the city. 2014/04/28 02:13:45 - Jarrod declared that Hirst is no longer an enemy. Reason: Do not continue doing this.

Don't underestimate my ability to sniff out an afk. Also, I had no idea where we were in Hashan.

Pretty sure there's only one room in Targossas called "Rally Point", since, you know, it's the rally point.

Pfh, you can't complain about re-used room names until you've tried to throw people around sewers!
Damn "dark sewer tunnels", "a narrow sewage tunnel", or "sewer tunnel filled with shadows".
Not even starting on Nishnatoba room names though... (fun fact: there are 232 rooms named "Endless plains")

You unearth @Lothiac, who had burrowed underground!
(one prompt line)
An arrow flies in towards Lothiac.
The arrow strikes Lothiac, gouging a deep and bloody wound.
Unable to withstand the arrow piercing his chest, Lothiac stumbles to the ground, collapsing in a
pool of his own blood.
A starburst tattoo flares and bathes Lothiac in red light.
A piece of kelp falls from Lothiac's person.
A skullcap flower falls from Lothiac's person.
Some irid moss falls from Lothiac's person.
Some irid moss falls from Lothiac's person.
A bloodroot leaf falls from Lothiac's person.
God this was just so satisfying. Well worth every penny for that effing shovel.

I have no idea how this even happened -- but it just did.

Yeah that's been happening to me a lot too. Maybe @Tecton should take a look at it.

Yeah, I've had that happen to me a few times. Seems like a bug.
You guys are terrible.
That's never happened to me.
@Hirst Empressing people raiding mhaldor into Ashtan totems and having Dunn/Jarrod trigger auto-unenemy/pacify?
2014/05/01 02:29:23 - Dunn was immediately enemied for bringing a known criminal into the city.
2014/05/01 02:29:43 - Dunn declared that Dunn is no longer an enemy. Reason: Not an enemy.
