I think they mean 23 seconds as part of a chain, not from walking in the room with no prep. That is my issue with current occultist, but maybe I just need to get used to it. New stuff typically seems over the top at first, either in comparison or because you are not used to it. That being said, maybe it is too much. We will see! More logs to come, I am sure.
What are the requirements to use cadmus, and hecate? It looked like you stuck Cadmus within ten seconds of entry. It's not exactly reasonable to say you should have to play defensive - as you would against impaleslash (especially considering the real danger there is that you're also prepped, which takes a fair amount of time as a blademaster) - every ten seconds. Against a MOMENTUM class, that is. Of course, I don't know the requirements to use Cadmus and Hecate, having not been around, what are they?
When the ACC were throwing around ideas for the Cadmus mechanic the general basis it worked under was that Cadmus would be the equivalent of getting kelp stacked (and that curing it properly would require pre tree before the Cadmus was afflicted). That is meant to be the first danger sign (think of an apostate hunting as a rough comparrison).
The issue that there is no additional defence method (rebounding/curseward/sileris) is a legitimate one, and something that we could definitely use ideas for. We could potentially require instill to break curseward, but it doesn't really fit thematically, and adding more abilities of that nature just as a mitigating factor is something better to avoid if we have alternatives.
Thanks for the log - it does help for us to see things in action so that we can get an idea of how things are going in practice. One thing I'd recommend is planning your treeing and such specifically with avoiding Cadmus in mind (as that's something we tried to work under the assumption people would start doing once they figured out how everything works and the curing was optimised).

Wrong assumption, @Makarios. The only thing to assume when changing how one classes skills affect another is that people who are negatively affected will immediately scream for a WAAAAAAAHMBULANCE!
Hiroma tells you, "I just got to listen to someone complain about your deadly axekick being the bane of their existence." Archdragon Mizik Corten, Herald of Ruin says, "Man, that was a big axk." Hellrazor Cain de Soulis, Sartan's Hammer says, "Your [sic] a beast."
What are the requirements to use Cadmus and Hecate, and what do they do exactly? As I understand it, Cadmus causes you to be afflicted with phys affs when you focus, but that's as far as I know of it. Halp, thanks.

No one really knows. We just spam afflictions until it works. Personally, I'm surprised no one has realized the buff to true name. It strips all defenses now like it used to back in the day.

Stop using insults I need to google. That is just rude.
Are you one of those people that stands around when I berate a novice, and then sends me a messaging saying "I don't know what half those words you said meant, but it sounds intimidating as hell!"
