    Someone's house & farm is not too far from spawn. There is a hill behind it with trees. I started building my underwater house on the backside of that hill.

    eta: there because if I tried to go any further, I would die to some random thing.
    I am retired and log into the forums maybe once every 2 months. It was a good 20 years, live your best lives, friends.

    That sounds like our (Athrax's and Halos') ranch. We spend most of our time renovating one of the villages these days, though.

    My place is pretty much right next to their farm, not even sure how that worked out because I walked a good ways. There's a tower on the hill and then a small farm at the bottom of the hill.

    It worked because it's a great location!  I've been slowly expanding an overworld road.  Pretty soon we'll have a road all the way from the ranch to the Mesa hopefully (under the ocean... cuz I'm not even about to leah a horse across that crap.)

    I dont think that's how horses work.

    EDIT: Oh, we've already had conversations about this. Use a lead. Lasso the horse then travel by boat while dragging it. I'll swim. Stop every now and then so that the horse can catch up. This will probably take forever, depending on how far it is.

    I've never moved a horse like that, but I've used that method to move other animals and I didn't even have to stop the boat; they kept up. 

    Also, you have no idea how carefully I had to word all of that.

    Yeah... but I'm too lazy to get off the horse.. (not too lazy to dig a tunnel 2500 blocks though)

    Couple of days old, but here's a better version of the map we are currently using. Sorry, but it's the best I can due without a Bukkit update.

    Well, it helps to be able to zoom in to the point you can see individual blocks. Again...whenever Bukkit finally updates.

    It's hard to see, but I finally spotted my super-road.  I'm pretty suprised at how big my fortress and the village show up.  Groovy
