Hmmm, I can't tell if I'm getting full returns from my XP farm or not. It's currently 2 of planned 5 floors, but the layout is basically 3x3 raised platforms with water between leading to 22ish block fall. The 2nd floor is the same but pushes to the outsides so they fall into the water on the first floor. This should prevent damage to the mobs right?
I might end up just getting some swords up there and moving the bottom up as I add floors, I already notice some things dying when they land, and I don't know if it's because of weirdness or if they're from the 2nd floor and took a little damage on the way down.
I can post the youtube video for the floor layout, though I expanded it slightly to avoid what seemed to be an oversight on the builders' part.

With regards to the Dynmap removal, we discussed it a bit in-game just after the changeover and not sure if everyone is aware of why that is going to be an option.
Whereas the Dynmap is great for finding your location and getting around, it is also very abusable to find out where people are. And as a result, very easy to go into their base and mess with things. With a known thief about somewhere, I know that I myself (along with some others) would prefer it if there simply was no dynmap. Brings back some of the oldschool Minecraft feeling.
With the grief prevention plugin there won't be any problems with people killing your animals, looting your chests, or destroying your base. The Dynmap will only help you get around. Who cares if people know where your base is if they can't do anything to it.
That is, unless we keep creeper explosions and they bust a hole in your base with that. Delete creeper explosions.

A frenzied cleric screams, "Like more than one halo!"
Fishing is now pretty awesome. I found a nametag and an enchanted rod all within the first 5 minutes of trying it.
Also, I found my first nether portal whilst exploring, someone not so far away from me Who build in the savannah and has a somewhat secret (not anymore) underground base?
Hopefully helpful FYI, if you're near spawn and want to make an XP farm, there's a zombie spawner at (-478, 61) in a ravine. I torched up the room but left the spawner. For a good guide on how to setup an efficient spawner that spawns while you're in the area, and still drops the mobs so you can punch them once:
Gives good models for layouts on where to put water, where to clear out, etc. It's what I use for my skeleton XP farm as well.

Went fishing today to fill up the larder, built a fishing shack, started fishing, found a fishing rod with Unbreaking III, Lure II and Luck of the Sea II. Pretty awesome.

Please go to the above site and vote on the polls. With 1.7.1 being released tomorrow, I'd like to get a few things settled before the bukkit release.
