I'd meant to go to sleep, but was still keyed up from the story so just finished the third book. Now I want to find Seleucar. D:

But yes, you people who are reading this, if you haven't already go read these things. I promise you it's worth your time.

  • Yes! I wholeheartedly approve of reading them as well. I started working on it myself, but some coaxing from a couple others in-game has had me working on it more thoroughly. I'm still going through it slowly in bits and pieces, but I love learning the history of the game; it really adds a great deal to the feel of things.
  • Read those books years ago, long before I made Katz, and then the new one when it came out. Really should read them all again, to freshen the memory.

                   Honourable, knight eternal,

                                            Darkly evil, cruel infernal.

                                                                     Necromanctic to the core,

                                                                                             Dance with death forever more.

Absolutely, it gives everything so much depth and meaning when you know your history, almost like real life...

my husband just did that. Gave him horrible problems sleeping after the 5th book because the books were the only thing he could think of

I tried reading through Achaea's history thanks to some prompting from Wysteria and for some reason.. grew bored of it after the first 15 - 30 minutes. I totally should as an Achaean player though #-o

@Jurixe: Yeah, those books are pretty balling. I wish we had more of such books that add to the history of Achaea. Final Resting of Travian Shea is awesome, but it seems to be the only literary text that mentioned him. I hope someone uses this bardic opportunity to write something about him! I was going to, since I had a couple of inspired stuff around that poem, but I am lazy.

  • Burning my first forest room to the ground.  >:)

Raves to Sir Tiamat and Sir Arador, the OIA and the Maldaathi.
  • There's only so much poking and prodding I can do to make you read those things @Exelethril...dude if I could read it all of it in one sitting over 2 hours and the third book again while logged in, you can too!

@Jurixe: There's something about the humour of the way eveything was written that I found riveting, if anything, I have to hand it to @Delphinus for getting me a copy of the third chapter IC. I still read it during downtimes.
"Faded away like the stars in the morning,
Losing their light in the glorious sun,
Thus would we pass from this earth and its toiling,
Only remembered for what we have done."

Fixed to show you my eternal curse whenever I see Ruth.

  • I can imagine Ruth saying that. She gets downright mean in LoL games.

Cascades of quicksilver light streak across the firmament as the celestial voice of Ourania intones, "Oh Jarrod..."

  • Now that makes me want to play a game with @Ruth.

Okay, first things first. Sorry for keeping you up so late, mysterious favorite person of mine!

Second thing: I'm sorry for not always being visible, whoever you are, @Elthior. I look forward to continuing some RP with you. I think your roleplay premise is definitely something that I'll like to pursue and go along with.

Third thing: Though the interaction was short, @Quei - I like it!

  • @Cooper: No, not really. I just tend to see Achaea as a really interactive storybook.

I used to love the 'Choose Your Own Adventure' series...

    <3 Thank You!

  • I'm waiting for when He flips over the table, killing it and the plates that were on it. And possibly a couple people in the process.

Either that, or when the kitchen sink is slain.

  • Neraeos is classy.

He'll just throw a chair at someone, Ballmer style.
  • @iocun those were a couple of months worth of deathsights.

But a couple raves of meeting Eusia and getting praise, dying to a Citadel, and crazy adventures in the middle of the sea have been such such fun. In hindsight my actions probably just draw the fine line of courage vs stupidity, but I'll take it!.

And raving because I finally figure out how to cage Makiradekha, and being thankful I had enough health to try a serious of humorous yet, yet useless things.  Tickling and saying "Hey stop that" and "Calm down" don't work.
