Nice! I bet they couldn't get through gravehands properly. Plenty of ways to rush without walking though. With a little bit of guidance that group should have wrecked you two.
We didn't have gravehands. Just frozenground/ret (which is still pretty nasty). And yea, we were 100% expecting to get our shit ploughed in once we saw the massive force arrayed against us.
2016/08/14 03:32:17 - The City of Targossas has withdrawn from the City, ending the sanctioned raid.
2016/08/14 07:44:48 - Calyn has sanctioned a raid against The City of Targossas.
2016/08/14 07:45:15 - Aesgar has retrieved a tank from your city's reserves.
2016/08/14 07:55:02 - Calyn was conscripted by Aesgar.
2016/08/14 07:55:24 - Soria was conscripted by Aesgar.
2016/08/14 07:56:15 - Ashu was conscripted by Aesgar.
2016/08/14 08:15:14 - Chris has destroyed The ruins of a small weaver's shop.
Shout out to @Chris, @Krizal, @Soria, @Calyn, @Ashu, and @Sholen for the awesome raid, helping me lead my first successful tank detonation. We typically go when we have some of our stronger fighters about (Kasa, Eguzki, Regi, Karren), but tonight we went out with who we had and killed it. Kudos to Chris for the detonation, I was cursing at the Ugrach death scene, in disbelief that we lost the tank with under a minute to go (to worldburn of all things which made it twice as frustrating), then sure enough when I read the logs he pulled it off at the last second!
It wasn't a perfect scenario by any means, and it will be a lot more rewarding when we get one when is more melee involved. Alas, we got the job done!
I know Targossas was a bit concerned that novices were killed alongside their defenders, accusing us of braziering them. You can see here https://ada-young.appspot.com/pastebin/77647df5 and here http://pastebin.com/D8wQ22y8 that both novices walked in on their own accord. Does that mean we should attack them? Of course not. But note that I didn't call either as a target on party tells, or summon them in any way. Our newer raiders killed them by mistake when they entered, as you can see I conscripted them after the tank was down so they really are new to this. I let them know about newbie courtesy, and apologized to the novices to try and smooth it over! For the record, that's not how Hashan goes about raiding, it was a simple mistake and I'v never fought for a city where this doesn't happen from time to time. Anyway, thanks for the fun night Hashan, and Targossas!
Man, I don't mean to sink your boat, but you're kinda raving about an 8v3 raid. Which you got by killing two non-coms. And you blew up a tank after no one re-engaged. So uh... you killed me and Ienzo, and no one else who could actually fight.
You do you and all, but maybe this is the kind of thing that makes other people not be interested in playing fair when it's the other side's turn to dogpile on you.
Acting this way when someone raves about having fun in a raid, when they haven't done one in a long time, is not going to win you any awards. Probably just gonna end up with me guarding you guys again, the next time you decide to raid at these times like I did the last time I was around, and you guys didn't wanna f- off.
PS, starting a sentence with "I don't mean to sink your boat," then proceeding to talk down to him, is pretty contradictory. IJS.

You guys had other defenders about, but didn't really choose to engage. I get that we had more, but like I said, as far as skill level most of our group was relatively inexperienced.
Again, as I said in my initial post "It wasn't a perfect scenario by any means, and it will be a lot more rewarding when we get one when is more melee involved. Alas, we got the job done!". The rave isn't really about the raid, or what was accomplished. It was more for the people who decided to come along and assist, which is uncommon in Hashan (especially without the support of our fiercer combatants present).
Edit: Five kills are required for a sanction. They weren't entirely off novices. I would be willing to bet Aralaya has defended before. She's 28, city rank two, etc.

- 2016/08/14 07:44:25 - Anedhel dies, his defences no match for the relentless might of Aesgar Tehlu,

If you wanna rave about people coming along, by all means. You can just go: @Chris, @Krizal, @Soria, @Calyn, @Ashu, and @Sholen, you're all super great for coming along!
Every time you rave about the fact that you tanked a place that has only two defenders available and willing to show up, I'm pretty sure that place is going to present an objection, though, free country!
Look, I really -am- glad you guys had fun. Enjoying yourself's the point of any game.
At the same time, it was also exactly the sort of thing that Hashan has historically been unhappy with others doing to them. Attacking at low times, using unranked novices to finish getting a sanction, and so on.
Targ beats on Hashan all the time, cries foul when I shoot some arrows and shames people who say they do not enjoy defending all the bloody time. Now Hashan strikes back and @Anedhel cries foul. What a baby. Talking tough when he got Xaden and Tesha helping him kill people, but can't handle the heat when the odds are not in his favour.
You can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe what @Anedhel is talking about as far as using novices to sanction the raid was this:
- 2016/08/14 07:44:45 - Talamond has fallen victim to the extraordinary powers of Calyn, Wellspring Initiate.
- 2016/08/14 07:44:48 - Talamond dies, his defences no match for the relentless might of Calyn, Wellspring Initiate.
Which, as you admitted, was the last kill necessary for the sanctioned raid.
Like I said, we weren't using the novices to sanction the raid. They walked in, and a few of our own hit them by mistake. I included the five kills that got the sanction, the second wasn't necessary but again, still a mistake. I wasn't paying enough attention to stop them in time
Stop defending yourself. You have all rights to beat on Targ as much as you want. It's similar to Mhaldor crying about Eleusian raids after some idiot exterminates off plane.
You're so angry at me over whatever you imagined up to think I've mortally wronged you that you'd keep going all night if I did this again and again, wouldn't you?
Angry? More surprised that you'd be mad at Hashan of all cities. Those guys get their ass kicked all the bloody time. And instead of sitting in a corner and crying, they keep coming back and sometimes even get pretty big victories. Personaly I always enjoy watching the underdog win.
Crying foul when you finally lose, making the score 10-1 is such bad sport.

Edit: I'm not here to try and join sides in this, I really couldn't give a rats ass about it, and I wasn't there. This is just what I noticed.

S'okay, though, @Bleak
ETA: This is raves, though, so- @Krizal was good for a couple duels, that was fun!

We almost killed a newb, stopped attacking and forced him away
They activated proteus
They moved guards so they could call for help
Noted stronger raiders from earlier post were there
Somehow with all that against us we still blew a tank (13 stacks of proteus... Ouch)
