@Gurda that would (or should) happen with every city raiding, with someone your age and might. Unless someone new to raiding didn't realise you were a newbie and got too eager, or someone mistook you for a soldier or something. Picking on newbies is pretty frowned on.
@Valkyn I'm sure it should. I'm also sure there are a lot of times when things that should be, are not. When things that should happen, do happen? I think it's raveworthy. Another triumph against Murphy's law!
10/28/16:39 Your idea #2858 was deleted. The text was: a way to filter the artefact list by item type, such as vial. The reason given was: Your idea has been implemented.
Aurora says, "Tharvis, why are you always breaking things?!" Artemis says, "You are so high maintenance, Tharvis, gosh." Tecton says, "It's still your fault, Tharvis."
@Vacen - that brief interaction tonight was brilliant. I think Kasya views him almost like a little brother, especially since she has none of her own. So it's fun to have her disappointment that's growing into anger with him that he left for Ashtan of all places, and you're fun to play against.

1 month before my birthday. I made my damn goal. This is amazing. Not like I'm setting a record but this is huge for me!
Thanks: (if I missed you, I am sorry!)
@jadys for betting me I wouldn't beat her to 103. (Which I apparently won, but that doesn't matter) -- she is THE reason I am dragon now. I had given up. @ariettie for constantly giving me her crit pendant and vibrating stick @dairon for giving me arties, keeping my ass motivated. @micaelis for running annwyn with me for my last 15%. @lavakhi and @quisse for shipping me minerals countless amounts of times. @elawien for bashing with me and keeping my spirits up @daeir for prodding me over and over again
And every other person that has given me encouraging words.
I've heard over and over that Dragon is nothing now, and maybe we can't compare it to the "old days", but I'm pretty damn sure most people with dragon wouldn't want to drop it and do it all again! Time to sleep for work.

Big rave to @Arralana for being a test subject, and to all the good Ashtani that attended the ritual. It really meant a lot, folks. Seriously, I was totally blown away by the turnout.

In my mind dragon is about the same difficulty as it was "back in the day", its just made easier now by scripts and fancy curing.
In comparison to completing other games, the amount of time and dedication dragon takes beats out most.
Anyway, good job! Targ's getting quite the dragon crew going
In my mind dragon is about the same difficulty as it was "back in the day", its just made easier now by scripts and fancy curing.
I'd say it is actually a fair bit easier, and faster as well. Things like capped XP loss on death, Iron Elite experience bonus (if somebody has it), a lot more bashing spots, mobs giving a lot more XP post-Battlerage, anybody at all being able to cure to a basic level just by typing CURING ON and CURING AFFLICTIONS ON... it all adds up, in the end. It's still an achievement, mind, but it's definitely easier.

Fair enough!

Just want to rave about all of Targossas right now. First off, cause Kas is living there again. But mostly because there's so much going on, and there's so many people involved that I don't want to list you all right here because it would just be a string of names and I'd inevitably forget a couple and then feel bad.
On a related note, coming back I've been able to interact with people I didn't have a whole lot of contact with before, and I've seen new sides to others. This journey that I've played out has definitely been interesting, and added some depth to Kasya that wasn't there before.
That being said, a rave to those Mhaldorians and other non-Targossians that I got to play with both as a Targossian and a rogue. You too, have helped build Kasya's character, and I love you for it. Thank you.
Edit: Sorry, I can't make the Spoiler thing work right. Whenever I try, it puts a separate spoiler for each line of text. Edit 2: Fixed it! I think! First I triumph over the forum post editor, then the world!
I think this thread is great. I think it's even better that so soon after creating my character here I have something to rave about. Well, several somethings. But I'll only rave about one today. I am having SO MUCH FUN with Ashtan and my House, the Vanguard.
First of all, the whole Pygmy kidnapping introduction thing is fantastic, and the fact I got to hunt down and eventually feed a cultist who wanted my heart to a ravenous beast? Awesome.
But then I get to join a House right? And Ashtan has three Houses, all of which are unique and have their own role. I went with the Vanguard right? Partially because their philosophies seem to fit with the personality that Dalric is developing, but mainly because the NPC you get directed to in order to learn about each house is an EXECUTIONER for the Vanguard and he's all "Basically, we go in and get 'er done." That is now officially Dalric's central philosophy. Get 'er done.
Lastly, one of his first House tasks is to dress appropriately. Can't have fledgeling executioner's running around giving people a free show! So the House scroll is like "We have a shop! It has appropriate clothes in it!" So Dalric moseys on over and what does he find? The sexiest freaking uniform this side of the Delosian Highway. Not sure who designed it, but it has @Kyrra 's mark on it so I'm guessing it was her. So.. Thank you Kyrra! I love it so much.
Behold! Dalric's newest attire and the best suit of clothing a get 'er doner' in training (that's now a thing!) could ever hope to obtain!
Dalric when looked at
He is a human. While still obviously young for a member of his race and without his full growth upon him, his form clearly displays what he will look like once he has fully matured. Standing at just under seven feet in height and in possession of broad shoulders at least an axe handle in width, he presents an easily spotted figure. Lean muscle is evident though it is clear he still has some growing left to do before be fully comes into his own. Deep-set pale blue eyes dominate his features under a heavy brow. High cheekbones and an unabashedly regal looking nose give way to a pleasant mouth and complete his visage. Not gorgeous, but far from ugly either. Black hair has been cut short and sweeps back from his forehead.
He is wearing: a plain suit of full plate, a hooded cloak, a mid-length military jacket of void black wool, a classic martial tunic in aubergine twill, black leather military riding breeches, a long black leather belt with gold detailing, a stalwart pair of black leather tactical boots, a pair of gold- trimmed black leather gloves, and an aubergine beret bearing an Ashtani patch. Weapon holders: an elegantly carved azure and white sheath. Containers: a canvas backpack.
Jacket
A commanding part of any martial uniform, this void black jacket allows any man or woman to cut a stylish yet practical figure upon the battlefield or city streets. Designed for warmth and inclement weather, the sturdy wool protects the wearer from even the harshest climate, and is surprisingly lightweight without compromising comfort. Possessing a high heavily-starched tab collar, the neckline frames the throat without being restrictive. The outside of each lapel is decorated in minute black embroidery of a catherine wheel, with the same motif branding each arm. Flowing into sharp, elegant lines over the shoulders, the upper part of the jacket creates an impression of bulk and breadth before narrowing as it flows downward towards the fitted waist. Featuring military-style trim up the chest, the front of the jacket is punctuated with three horizontal rows of black covered, bar-shaped buttons in precise lines. The only spark of colour and shine on this otherwise severe jacket is a pair of gilded buttons studding each wrist cuff.
Tunic
Marked as twill cotton by the woven diagonal ridges in the weave, this military tunic is dyed a rich deep purple, the textured fabric comfortable, soft, and durable. Meant for either sex, this garment features half-sleeves, and a generous split neckline that reveals a hint of the clavicle or bosom. The tunic skims the body in a relaxed fit to hip-length, but can be paired with a belt for a more fitted look. The v-neck, cuffs of the short selves, and the hem are embroidered in a thick band of contrasting colour; a light gold background accented with aubergine detailing.
Breeches
These leather breeches are made of buffed leather dyed pitch black. Reinforced from hip to ankle, a double layer of stitching ensures the seams can withstand even the roughest activity, providing extra durability and protection. The breeches are tailored to fit comfortably at the natural waist, flowing in a baggy style down the thighs to the knee where they tighten around the calf in the traditional military riding breeches style. From knee to ankle they form a snugger grip, allowing the cuffs to easily fit into the shaft of tall boots without bunching. The leather has been diligently cured and weatherproofed, the oils used conditioning the stained leather to be soft and supple for years to come.
Belt
A broad, single strap of black leather forms the basis of this thick belt. Suited for either sex, it is long enough to slope around the hips of the wearer with the extra length easily hitting mid-thigh. The foundation of the belt is unblemished and without texture, however a unique pattern of golden spears is woven across the length of the belt in golden embroidery. A simple gilt clasp allows the belt to be worn as snug or as tight as one wishes, making it the perfect complement to a tunic, dress, or other loose-fitting garment.
Boots
These sturdy military boots are made of black leather on a lug sole foundation. Rising eight inches from the reinforced, rounded toe to mid-calf, they offer a protective, polished grip of stalwart ebony hide, covering all of the foot and ankle. Proving all-around support and stability for any martial unit, these tactical boots are designed with both a man and woman in mind, the utilitarian appearance blending in with any armies uniform. A thick layer of black woollen insulation provides additional warmth in case of changing weather patterns, while the waterproofed leather gurantees moisture wicking, ensuring that the wearer's feet are always dry and comfortable. The thick lug sole offers a marginal lift to ones stature, the deep indentions on the bottom improving stability and traction whether this shoe is used for fashion or on the battle field. Rigid black laces begin a few inches above the toe, and weave all the way to the top of the boot shaft, fastening these boots tightly to the foot.
Gloves
Supple, nimble leather worked to an agile pliancy, and cured a deep raven black colour, has been carefully formed into this sturdy pair of military gloves. The buffed hide completely sheathes the hands without hindering mobility, allowing the wearer to wield their weapons and reign a mount in with ease. The gloves encase the hands and fingers fully, and seamlessly stretch to the mid-forearm where an additional layer of leather forms a subtle gusset around the arm. The added layer of leather is superbly patterned with flecks of gold leaf which glimmers in the stylistic design of a catherine wheel tooled into the leather. This extra layer of protection allows a falcon owner to summon their avian companion without worry of being inadvertently wounded by their razor-sharp talons. A length of tasselled leather and gold chain affixed to the bottom of the left glove bracelets the wrist, and is meant to be used as a lure or leash for wayward falcons, or simple decoration for those without a winged friend.
Beret
This soft round hat is made of rich aubergine wool, the dark purple hue accented by a black leather trim which fits the beret snugly to the head. With the flat crown slouched to the right, the left shoulder is free to bear any staff or other weapon resting against it. This hat serves a dual purpose, to keep ones hair from their face, and to top off a military uniform with a smart flourish of the military elite. Residing on the front of the patch and subtly off centre above the left eye, a large patch is embroidered with an elaborate rendition of the Seat of Chaos' symbols, a gold catherine wheel, braced by two spears, is predominately featured.
Shoutout to @Tecton@Makarios@Sarapis and whoever else was working on my issue last night. I did not expect you to fix things as fast as you did. Great service!
1. @Aesi got me pimped out for serverside. I've been clinging to old style svo but he drug me forward as well as set me up with a sweet Gui.
2. @Ariettie made my Achaea dream come true with the creation of this sandwich.
Two freshly baked doughnuts serve as the buns of this sandwich, each one light, fluffy, and coated in a sticky, sugary glaze. Upon closer inspection of the meat patty, it's discerned that it is actually comprised of five different types of bacon, each type latticed together and placed just slightly askew of the layer below to create the illusion of a rounded piece of solid meat. The bacon has been cooked to the ideal state of crispiness yet not crunchy, each bite yielding juicy perfection. A thick slice of sharp cheddar cheese has been melted on top of the patty while shredded cheddar has been sprinkled between each bacon layer to ensure an adequate cheese to meat ratio with each bite.

It bears the distinctive mark of Ariettie.
and lo, today we mark the apocalypse of Achaea in bacon styled goodness.
