@Jurixe and all the Mhaldorians present in the jousting event: Thank you for that awesome event which happened just when I returned. That's a welcome change from not having internet for half a month and not having water and power for days due to a typhoon. I swear, Jurixe called my ISP to fix things just so I can catch the event. That woman cray
Bleh, work ate my gaming life. 내가 제일 잘 나가!!!111!!1
I only do these once every six months, so I think I'm allowed long raves.
@Chiam - Hands down, mvp of the event. Being his first time in one of such a scale and not that long to Achaea, I was a little worried he wouldn't be able to handle it - but he kept saying 'leave it to me' and my goodness, he did amazing. Composing the prayer, creating the brackets, and emceeing for the event, as well as handling all the last-minute additions, he was absolutely the star and I have no idea how you did it. I would have gone crazy without you.
@Suladan, @Alcinae, @Crixos, @Szeth - My Nithilar crew, you guys always come through for me. Volunteering to help out with just about every aspect of the event organisation (security, heraldry, announcing, standard-bearing, food, servant training, recording orders, you guys are champions and I don't know what I'd do without you. @Crixos nearly gave me a heart attack as I thought he was a no-show but of course, showed up and stole the standardbearer show! Special rave also to @Falthus here for being enthusiastic and helping out.
@Carmain, @Hasar, @Kaevan and whoever else was playing along - You guys add comedic relief to every event you're ever in and it's never complete without you. I had intended the peasant cheering only to be ambience but it took on a life of its own and I was just about dying.
Trey lowers a knight's lance bearing a purple-black ribbon of House Nithilar at Ruth as his destrier charges at Ruth's eagle. Ruth lowers a knight's lance bearing a crimson ribbon of house I'llur at Trey as he closes in. Ruth ducks the weapon aimed at her but Trey is unable to so manoeuvre and is viciously skewered. Trey is sent tumbling off his destrier and his weapon goes flying in the air.
A knight's lance bearing a purple-black ribbon of House Nithilar clatters to the ground.
"She's the Tyrannus? She has a ribbon in her tail.."
"Uhh, I think so."
Ruth clears her throat loudly. "I shall see that villager in the Red Square after this."
Father Kaevan Lichlord says in Mhaldorian, "Hmm. Kids these days -- they don't know who their Tyrannus is."
Suddenly, the crowd quietens.
"I LOVE YOOOU SIR TREEEEY SIIRE MEEE"
Father Kaevan Lichlord exclaims in Mhaldorian, "Well, they certainly do now!"
Kaevan blinks.
Saeva clears her throat.
Aiseiri laughs softly.
Orzaansyn's eyes sparkle with amusement.
Syrach snickers softly to himself.
Sherazad peers about herself unscrupulously.
Trey winks knowingly.
"MORE FIRECRACKERSS"
I love you guys.
Special mention to @Xinna for putting up with the bug-teasing, poor thing!
@Tirac and @Herose: That was the most nail-biting finale I've ever seen. I really thought Tirac was out after the first time but then he unseated Herose on the last bout! My goodness I was so nervous and that was really the highlight of the event for me. So pleased you both could make it and I hope you like your prizes.
@Tresa, @Stuneree, @Kei, @Syrach: I really didn't have time to watch you guys individually but I know you were there serving the food and drinks to the crowd and making sure everyone got fed. The reason for having slaves was to allow slaves to participate, so I hope you like what you saw of Mhaldorian culture!
@admin who made it possible at the last minute to have the things we needed: THANK YOU. I'm sorry I uh, had to harass you guys about it :X in my defence I told them to do it early! But thank you anyway for being accommodating and understanding.
@everyone else who joined: There are far, far too many names to individually list but it was great to see such a huge turnout for the event. All the riders and standard bearers did extremely well and even the observers were very enthusiastic. To those who shifted schedules, woke up early (Chiam), stayed up late (sorry EU people), rushed home from work (Tirac/Hasar), stayed on their phone even though they went out (@Ruth) I am so very glad you were able to make this event one of the most fun ones I've run in recent times. I hope you all enjoyed yourselves.
I am very proud of everyone who contributed to the event and made it a success, especially given its importance and how long I've wanted to see it run. It was also really nice to see everyone gathered and having fun in a setting that appealed to both those who like fine events and those who like the rough and tumble of combat. Thank you to everyone who's put up with my rambling and stress (though I think there was less this time) and giving me the motivation to pull it together in a little over two weeks.

That reminds me... a huge huge huge huge thank you to the servants - @Tresa, @Stuneree, @Kei, and @Syrach who helped in serving food and drink. You guys were absolutely cooperative even as I stumbled on trying to explain things. Glad to see you guys (hopefully) having fun and enjoying the show. @Tresa, thanks for also sticking the event out as well despite there being only about 20 minutes to tell you all about things before the event started. For a new player it more than likely was overwhelming but you were great and enthusiastic, and I am seriously glad you decided to stay, no lie.
As for @Jurixe, as always, thanks for taking out time to create these huge events. Such things are why I (and probably everybody else) sticks around Achaea and the effort and creativity you put out is something I someday wish to aspire to.
It was pretty cool. @Crixos also laid out the tournament results all pretty-like too on http://binarybeast.com/x1408011 if anyone's interested. Nifty tool that website has.

Rave: Gaia getting heavily involved in Eleusian stuff. Nice to have an active Divine doing things with us. It always enriches the game quality for me whenever a Divine player starts to get involved, even if it's just a conversation. (Lookin' at you, Valnurana.)
Rant: Gaia attempting to discredit Tohran in the election. If what I've been told behind closed doors is true, it won't matter, Ellodin is gone.
That is indeed my rave of today. It's over, and things are good.
And I love too Be still, my indelible friend That love soon might end You are unbreaking And be known in its aching Though quaking Shown in this shaking Though crazy Lately of my wasteland, baby That's just wasteland, baby
