Sometimes, it feels really good to be a mark and be appreciated. A lot of times, if you can ever get a contract, you don't know who it's from or why. You just go and try to fill it. It's almost always a poor match up for you. I've been studying and I got one on @Rip. Great, a serpent. I so don't have time to stalk a serpent right now. So last night, log on for a bit, maybe like an hour before bed. Rip is on, well screw it, let's try it. Managed to out damage him (Occie shit v. serp.) Thanks @Rip for being a sport and fighting me when you could easily just run in perpetuity forever. The contract was for some dude I'd never heard of. That happens a ton. We don't really normally even hear from them. Then I check messages while studying today and see this:

Thank you.
It wasn't much, but God damn does it feel nice when someone you've had no interaction with appreciates your work. Thanks @Kenshiro. It's been a shitty week, and that helped.
A rave because I've been very much enjoying my class change to runewarden. I've always loved the idea of the Chivalry skill set, and its nice to finally get to mess with it.
Always a bard at heart, thought.
And you won't understand the cause of your grief...

Can always use your RP for your new class! I know someone from Cyrene who went occie then used her musical background in her ritual work. It's a good flavor for RP.
@Gaia, thank you for all the hard work you do for the village.
These new additions to Eleusis, Zincara, the gallery, and Lloen with the new bookbindery, are absolutely lovely.
Here is one of the options:
Shredded from a wild cobra, gleaming snakeskin winds about the cover of a thick journal. The scales mottle with hues of bright chartreuse and gleam with a faint lustre, the remains of the serpent retaining a natural authenticity. Leaves of creamy papyrus secure within the tome, held fast by durable lengths of silvery twine, and a single, spider-silk marker lingers amidst the heavy pages. Thick lettering of ebony ink loops across the spine, detailing the title and author.
If you need me, you can find me sporadically on the Achaea Discord as Yae. Do not DM on forums unless you're ok with waiting a couple months!

ooh...okay. I'm going to have to visit and see that one of these days.
Anyway, my rave:
- 2014/07/12 22:07:56 - Traelor dies, features contorted from the poison delivered by Weaver Kaden Vas'amaen-Ashaela, Shield Commander.
- 2014/07/12 22:08:18 - As his insides become his outsides, Kaden dies in a pile of his own bloodied entrails, victim of Sir Aerek Ancyrion's deadly prowess.
My rant: I'm having fun with this new House. Why am I having fun with this new House?
@Nocroth, have been there to guide me since I was very young and being the curious novice that I was, I bombarded you with tons of questions, which you answered all in a very cool way (albeit slowly). Your talents in wielding both the sword and the pen has been a huge inspiration for me and I aspire to become as good as you. I'm really glad that you're back from dormancy, which during that stage I learned most things myself. Let's kill more heathens together!
@Crixos, for being the awesomely strong text-brother that I have, patiently helping me to improve my combat while being one of the best fighters himself (in my opinion anyway). How do you become this good?!
@Saeva, for all the help you gave me before and very generous advice recently. I should bother you more often than I am right now
@Jurixe, hai kid. Thanks for inducting me into groups and I get to mingle more! I don't usually like to talk much but it was quite fun. We could meet up someday, but need to get our sleep-wake schedules in sync first? Haha.
@Xer@Hasar, the two loving couple + dictionaries of Achaean combat that I get a full, comprehensive explanation of whatever combat mechanics question I throw at them. Many are missing out.
@Milenka@Harmonia, the two elder-sister/mother like figure to me. We don't really talk that much but when we do, I enjoy it a lot!
Heathens including
@Mithridates@Ernam & other Targossians who are starting to target me earlier in group combat makes me feel that I'm not totally useless in groups! Thanks for killing me over and over so I'll learn faster from the experience :disagree:

@Aelios for runing 763 totems for my in the subs. and for @Seifur for doing 50 of em. You guys are fricking amazing and awesome. That..my friends. Is dedication. Thanks for your service guys.
@Caoimhaen for being ridiculously patient (like really, really patient) and teaching me how to use and understand limb counting, and letting me hit him a zillion times until I got it right. I really appreciate it!
Rave for @Josoul for teaching me the finer points of my new favorite tactic. I've enjoyed fighting so much more lately. Feeding off of tears keeps me going during bar study.
Reminds me of the Dungeon and Dragon movies floating around on Youtube >.>
(D.M.A.): Cooper says, "Kyrra is either the most innocent person in the world, or the girl who uses the most innuendo seemingly unintentionally but really on purpose."
@Mycen being a great house leader. Also helping me get started again after I came back from dormancy. 7 years is a long time! I couldn't even remember how to do basic things (score, honors, ct, ht, etc...). I likely wouldn't have stayed active if it wasn't for you! You gave me supplies and were so very patient with all of my ridiculous questions. So, thanks!
@Saibel being terrific! Helping me to re-learn combat after all these years, showing me where all the new areas are, teaching me about ships, the list goes on and on!
There are so many more I could rave about... maybe later!
You possess all six Dragon Talismans, and you complete the set, gaining true mastery over Dragonhood.
Major thanks to all the people that helped me out with small and bulk pieces when I came so close to completing my sets!

Aurora, the Lightbringer has bestowed Her divine strongfavour upon you. It will last for approximately 1 Achaean month. --- Yeah. No idea what it was but it must be good. Had a blast yesterday thinking I was getting extra experience for all of the hunting I did. Oh look, really close to learning a very important skill. Buy few credits, learn skill. Yeah, happy, happy day
The favour of Aurora has worn off, gifting you with increased experience. - Ah, so it was for experience. Learned it wasn't experience boost to hunting yesterday, but was a boost to overall experience, tricking me into thinking I had learned new skills. Fancy new skill I had looked forward to is gone, and just as far off as it was before. Oh well, I had fun using it for a while.

HELP FAVORS.
That is the best kind of favoring, giving you +1 to each stat, no need to eat or sleep, a 15% damage reducing shield, and an extra point constitution, and grants experience when wearing off (am I leaving anything out guys?)
STRONG(DIS)FAVOUR
- Alters your skills, with the amount in each skill dependent on the God
doing the favouring or disfavouring.
- Gives an xp bonus or takes away some xp when it ends.
It was the skill part that confused me. I gained in skill, which gave me a couple new abilities, and then when it went away, I lost those abilities. I didn't notice the XP bonus, but I'd been dying a lot lately, so may have just missed it.
The one you are talking about is High Favor
I have never played a game before, where doing things for your gods actually had consequences beyond RP.
Half a rant, half a rave, but decided to rave because raves needs more posts.
Rant: I still think like a Cyrenian sometimes. Don't know how to be mean and put my foot down. Primarily because (as mentioned in the ranting thread) people tend to blur IC/OOC really easily and take IC stuff personally, then set out to make my gameplay experience miserable. I don't like conflict IRL and I don't want or need that kind of stress, but sometimes I really should be meaner ICly. Will work on that.

One of the symptoms of an approaching nervous breakdown is the belief that one's work is terribly important

It was IC, Dungeons and Dala'myrrs. I watched them for a while before leaving to prepare dinner. Sounded like a nice, enjoyable game.
A long overdue rave, but I will want to do it eventually anyway. So:

That's all for now, I guess.
Hey you're the one who needs to get his sleep schedule on the level of normal people!

I have yet to play Dungeons and Dala'myrr. What is this interesting concept that had nothing to do with me in any way whatsoever?
Regret is for mewling meatbags. All hail nerdist beaches.
Relevant to last game:

@Florentino, @Herenicus, @Jurixe you're always IC and enriching the environment in Mhaldor with your RP.
@Kelandra devouting so much of your time and effort to furthering the Lichlord house.
@Vicious, @Terra, @Hasar dominating me in the arena but always giving helpful tips.
@Mithridates legitimately making me say "oh crap" whenever you enter my room (I'm ashamed to admit that happens even if I'm phased).
@Ernam great work on SLC.

Oh it wasn't a TF, oh no wonder!
@Halios for the fun back and forth. That made my day, and by all means, bring those shrines to dust, I'll join you.
Halios told You: My mhuns. take your band of merry misfits somewhere else.
You told Halios: Watch your step.
Halios told You: What divine do you follow so i can use all my corpses for the next 2 levels to defile them.
You told Halios: Aurora, it's quite obvious.
Halios told You: Obvious maybe to someone who cares enough to read your inane titles and idle threats.
Halios told You: I'll dedicate the next 6 shrines of hers I drop to you. enjoy.
You told Halios: I wish you luck with that, Monk.
Halios told You: You'll see what you caused on your logs. enjoy.
--------
Halios told You: Congrats. I've grown far too lazy and just assumed anyone who talked like that would be Targ. Well played.
@Praxides enjoyed it as well. I laughed for a good bit when I realized what I had overlooked. Cunning.
For the record, I -did- end up defiling and raising 5-6 shrines, just without the intended effect.
It is a one-handed weapon.
Damage: 66 To-hit: 162 Speed: 253
An obsidian dagger has no venoms or magical effects on it.
I nominate @Trey for best smithy in Sapience
Way ahead of you, brah. But still, thanks for the advertisement.
Trey IS an awesome smith. Too bad he's a dirty, dirty Tsol'aa Mhaldorkian.
