I finally decided to add triggers for half the things @Jinsun does to me that I didn't already have triggers for. I decided to do this mid-combat, and was so excited. Then I died.
But that death was just temporary. These triggers will be forever.
Now, uh... now to figure out how to write anti-illusion for them for my new system. Maybe getting room item data to see if there's a bloodleech... gosh, that'll be hard to test with Jinsun trying to enlighten me. In the unhelpful ways, I mean, not the help-me-code-a-system way.
Belated 'cause I overdid it and had to sleep for 14 hours or something-
I really love the interactions I've been able to have with Sybilla recently, it's been grand to break out of my shell and test the waters in unfamiliar territory.
So, :x :x :x for @Vastar who I assume animated Cassandra when I went to have a look up in Arcadia. Small as it was, it was really special and I was smiling throughout!
Thank you to @Melodie and @Verrucht as well for the Nerai ritual, which curiosity compelled me to go have a look at to snark and ended up in a long Q&A which was fantastic. I feel like I'm on an Achaean religious binge. Even though we have our (vast) differences IC, it's really pleasant to be able to interact with 'your' lot on more even/neutral footing, was the first time Sybilla saw a different side of Melodie, and that was really lovely.
Lastly, @Kyrra thank you for your support and encouragement, I love when we manage to cross paths and sorry our interactions have been brief!
@Sybilla, I swear we are like two ships passing in the night a lot of the time. It's so rare to catch you but I truly adore every interaction that I get with you. And even if Dunn did steal you off me, the time I spent briefly training you up as my replacement was so incredibly tense for me. I've never had to do anything on that level before. I know you are capable of so, so much and it's wonderful being able to watch you take on incredible things.
Massive raves for @Vastar's return. I have so much that I want to say here, but... I spent almost three centuries following Selene. That's almost a real life decade. Those interactions largely shaped the person that Kyrra is, and it was like someone died for me when Selene did. I'd never felt such heartache and grief, and I honestly never thought that I would be able to follow another divine without feeling like I was betraying a memory. To feel the pull that I do is a wonderful thing, and I love how at ease our interactions are. I am truly looking forward to the future.
@Tharvis and @Eurulis have been so hard to pin down sometimes, but the conversations we have had have just been amazing. They are so thought-provoking and inspiring. Likewise to @Fendrel and @Caoimhaen for participating in the discussions that I've started. I am really enjoying them and I feel like I am learning a lot. I hope you guys are getting a similar experience.
I just don't have the words for the amount of joy running through me right now. Things have never felt so alive for me in such a long time, and my level of enthusiasm threatens to overwhelm me. I am actually happy and there is so much that I want to do. The possibilities are endless :x
(D.M.A.): Cooper says, "Kyrra is either the most innocent person in the world, or the girl who uses the most innuendo seemingly unintentionally but really on purpose."
ha, @Kyrra, when I poked you to see your understanding of Vastar's teachings, half of the time I was just sitting there "I don't know how to reply to this." so yep, very thought-provoking! :P
Aurora says, "Tharvis, why are you always breaking things?!" Artemis says, "You are so high maintenance, Tharvis, gosh." Tecton says, "It's still your fault, Tharvis."

I'm so glad you enjoyed it, @Sybilla, and I really hope everyone else who came did! I've been meaning to get back into doing public rituals again, and this really helped me -want- to do more of them. They can be a lot of work to put together and make original every time I do them, especially when I have to do them every IC year (while we do have a basic template, I try and also sit down and think "How can I make this better? What could I do different that will be interesting and draw awe? What can I do to better show devotion to Melodie's god?").
I had no idea I've be sticking around for an hour long Q&A, and despite the late bedtime, it was entirely worth it. Thank you for sticking through and getting into something we really put our hearts into.
As for raving besides the above, I have to say, my first couple of days in Eleusis have been fairly warm and supportive, so far. It's been a really, really strange adjustment for me, so thank you to everyone who has been so patient and understanding. I still often look at AB and can't rationalize the fact I'm a Sylvan, now. Hopefully that will set in more firmly as I dig deeper into combat!
More especially, I want to thank @Gaia, @Penwize, @Rangor, and @Ainia for all of their patience in working to help me understand Nature/related bits, and in the former's case, in giving me a bit of a kick in the ass to get going. Very hopeful for the future. Hopefully you won't regret taking in my stubborn self. Becuase you very well might later on!
I also really want to thank the -several- Mhaldorians who have gone out of their way to talk to me about... everything, really. I'm a little sceptical about naming names, for the sake of keeping some things IC, but a lot of you know who you are. Every single one of you made it really, really hard to have to bend Melodie another way, and but it's been a true pleasure, and I hope it doesn't (entirely) quit. No doubt debates and whatnot should provide an entertaining means in the future. An especially big thank you to @Sartan - you still scare the crap out of me, in the best of ways. You probably made it the hardest to decide. Mhaldor's really lucky to have you.
Another vague rave, but again, don't want to let the cat out of the bag - there has been a certain someone that has still been shadowing me even as I chose Eleusis and became a citizen, still pestering and pecking away, even making the normally docile Melodie quite angry. You are awesome and extremely fun to interact with, and liven up something I thought might become dull for most (especially once I was inducted). You've proven even despite choices being made, you have no problem trying to make Mel doubt. It's been such a blast so far, and looking forward to what happens next. I wanted to make sure you knew I appreciate it.
@Daeir, you asshole, stop ruining everything. But really, thanks for being one of the few still willing to give Melodie shit on what she's doing and what she decides. The consistency of your presence reminds me not everything has to change, even when most does.
@Aerek, for your support through every decision I've ever made - the bad, the good, and the ugly, both in and out of character. You enrich Melodie's life, and you make my playtime even more of a blast and, as always, you always challenge how I think and what I plan on doing. We've got quite the story, and I'm so glad to have you be apart of it.
Finally, a huge thank you to Cyrene in full, both past and present citizens. Eight years of a city I never thought I'd ever want to leave, much less have the courage to. The transition has been a rough one for me, letting go of something I was really proud of, even if perhaps not the best reasons. It has been a long journey, and it broke my heart to end it with Cyrene for now. You guys are amazing, though - don't let the internal problems bring you down. Keep going, never give up. I expect to hear amazing things and be utterly jealous, down the road.
Thanks to all who have supported me through everything. Hopefully Melodie's new chapter will be as amazing, and a little less heartbreaking, than the last.
And I love too Be still, my indelible friend That love soon might end You are unbreaking And be known in its aching Though quaking Shown in this shaking Though crazy Lately of my wasteland, baby That's just wasteland, baby
Huge thanks to @Achimrst, @Motako, and @Kaie for helping to prepare, decorate, and carry out the Curia Spiritus' Sesquicentennial ritual. A lot of work went into our opening festivities, and you all came through when it counted.
It's an exciting milestone. No matter what anyone says, achieving this length of continuous group roleplay (5 RL years!) with only our collective creativity, single-minded determination to keep things going, and IC bank accounts to support the efforts is something everyone can be proud to be a part of.
I know it has been challenging at times, but we've had some amazing times and this was definitely one of them. I hope it was just as much fun for you as it was me.
Raves to @Caoimhaen, @Nieelensars, and @Ryldagh as well for helping us with the subsequent explorations, quest and second rite as well. Thank you all so much for helping our clan kick off our 150th anniversary celebrations.
I'm very sorry (I'm not really) if I'm ruining your tough-guy afk-while-playing-LoL persona, @Jarrod but definitely feel it deserves a rave. Really loved the long discussion/argument/tantrum we had, I don't get to play Sybilla breaking apart nearly enough lately, and it's morbidly enjoyable when given the opportunity to.
The surprise when I woke up this morning (lol 2pm) just completely sealed it!
Ugh, I have been having entirely too much fun in Achaea again, it's just grand.
@Orzaansyn for once again making my day. She left the room so I followed her and said we aught to go on an adventure, how does she respond of course if not by saying "I do not know where to go." Upon me saying ALL the places you know! She does not question it, or ask where specifically, or take it as a joke. No, of course not, that would not be my lovely Orzaansyn. She instead begins to immediately start walking from place to place, quite literally slowly but surely making our way I assume to ALL the places she knows. I love you so much (:
edit: our first stop -
(SAY) Orzaansyn says to you in Mhaldorian in a cold, monotone voice, "This is the bridge of Delos."
(SAY) Orzaansyn says to you in Mhaldorian in a cold, monotone voice, "There is a river under it."
(SAY) Orzaansyn says in Mhaldorian in a cold, monotone voice, "I always wonder."
(SAY) Orzaansyn says in Mhaldorian in a cold, monotone voice, "I think there is a bridge because of the river."
(SAY) Orzaansyn says in Mhaldorian in a cold, monotone voice, "But if there was no more a river."
(SAY) Orzaansyn says in Mhaldorian in a cold, monotone voice, "I think people would use it anyway."

Yes we went to five places. I kept note of every say/tell and added my own "comments" and notes to it. I will look on that log with great happiness when I feel down. We visited such awesome places as ...
You ask, "Where are we?"
Orzaansyn says in Mhaldorian in a cold, monotone voice, "In a tunnel."
Was quite the good adventure.

Thank you for it @Cesarina, but actually, that tunnel was not a place I knew.
Anyway, I had quite a hard day yesterday and I wanted to thank all the people I had wonderful interractions with (in particular @Cesarina, @Parthena, @Nocroth, @Zii, @Ruth, @Oren, but I certainly miss many others).

Album of Bluef during her time in Achaea
Seriously everyone should convert to Targossas just to have her around.
Just a little quality of life improvement, but that was about five minutes after I submitted it. I'm happy
