The ball was really fun, even if I'm shocked about a few things that happened.  Great job, everyone!
the Great Bard stole the show, but we decided to not charge Him with theft. But I can say the event went off better than I could ever have imagined everything I had hoped for happened, and it felt right all around.. including a moment that, well I won't share, but it was magical.
So annoyed I had to miss it  >:P

I always miss the good things.

an excellent thing of its kind.
      "this umbrella is a dandy"

In thug-speak: a bro with swag but no style.

  • Shera's questions were impossible to understand even after asking them to be reworded. So I just gave up. I would answer, then it's No that's not your stance, then I would reanswer then she would change it up. I look forward to those things but everytime they're going on it's like this sucks.

my rave is : Raiding is awesome.

  • The Bravi'os ladies for knowing such big words and using them so well!

Time to tag @Sohl for a blush.
The sweltering heat of the forge spills out across the land as the rumbling voice of Phaestus booms, "I want you to know, the Garden reaction to that one is: What?"
The voice of Melantha, Goddess of the Seasons, echoes amid the rustle of leaves, "That's the censored version."

  • Also, raves for @Aurora for an awesome CF.

Aurora cityfavoured Atalkez for: His steadfast service to My Bloodsworn and I, Our Shrines, and bringing his strength against Our enemies, whether in defense or a raid. Well done, child of Creation.

My heart melts for thee. <3

Raves for @Lianca and @Verily for suffering through a chat with this Rogue!

I am curious how many insults about my person were being passed around though :P
  • @Scarlatti. Impeccable timing.

"Service to My Bloodsworn and I"?
Is this a new case of Pentharianly misused olde English?
    What's wrong with that, exactly?

Objective versus subjective pronouns. To use 'I' is to indicate you are performing, not receiving the action.

Tonight was an amazing night! I was not too sure how this ball was going to go, I knew it was kind of a different theme from the usual. But it was quite spectaular, with the Bards showing and playing wonderful music stuff, Rinzai being amazing and spending not only an assload of time and money, but so much effort into making this something special, along with @Arianis hosting and doing her culture thing. Speaking as someone who has usually had to lead these in the past, it just all went fantastically.

I loved the things I was given, I loved all the dancing, and I -especially- loved Scarlatti popping in and joining in the fun, especially when he scared the crap out of @Nellaundra. Don't worry Nell, I'll never let you live that down!

Also huge raves to Saeva, Cidusii, Daeir, Ariettie, and others who made the night especially fun, including in the little after-party in the gardens. It feels good to be Cyrenian.
Yus, RP-ing nodding and standing stoically in one corner and not budging while other people danced with each other because the text-wife wasn't there was kinda fun to do, it was a really fun and well-organized event.

Awards ceremony was awesome too, will text-treasure this -

    a gold-threaded Cyrenian captain's armband
Carefully woven from the wool of bighorn sheep, this thin armband has been dyed a vibrant cerulean.
Parallel strands of gold are woven throughout creating a silhouette of the Southern Vashnars and
signifying the wearer's rank of Captain. Below the mountain range a small gateway has been threaded
with the same gold representing the Heart of the Vashnars, the home of this Cyrenian defender.
It has 295 months of usefulness left.
    It weighs 0 ounce(s).
make it non-decay and resetting! I dare say that one's worth preserving.
Or be boring and hire a jeweller every few years to repair it
Aurora says, "Tharvis, why are you always breaking things?!"
Artemis says, "You are so high maintenance, Tharvis, gosh."
Tecton says, "It's still your fault, Tharvis."

I prefer to make things only non-decay, without the resetting. I like it if theft and loss, although unlikely, remain possibilities and it actually makes me handle valuable items with greater care.

I wonder, does this bashing tactic work in recruitment?

If so, I must learn from the master, @Silas

A quick way to tell is if "I" is wrong by itself, it's wrong in that situation. You wouldn't say "service to I," it's "service to me."

That is my biggest grammar pet peeve.
