  • Whoa, the last two pages of this thread have been interesting.

Sad though, when it could all have been summed up nicely with...

    Fuck Mhaldor

    Just sayin.

@Asula great duel the other month!

Penwize has cowardly forfeited the challenge to mortal combat issued by Atalkez.

Seriously though, Mhaldor has a huge amount of drama but that is why i love it.

  • RAVE: I love my new obsidian skull pendant.

Note: When I first received the pendant, swiftcurse was lasting over 3 minutes. Being the good girl I am (and not keen on becoming a shrub) I bugged it, of course. But before it was fixed I had a lot of fun pointing my imperious finger at things. It was neat to see how a really extended swiftcurse would be.

Just a thought for all sides: this conversation may have been much more productive if held in private.

Now for proper raves - won 18k in roulette/blackjack :D a big feat since I'm not a gambler! Then watched the other person win and promptly lose 200k. I swear I get heart attacks playing with these people.

That makes me want to take my alt to Targossas.
  • I just checked my SCORE as well.

I agreed with the former instead of disagreeing with the latter! :P

    wut
I am retired and log into the forums maybe once every 2 months. It was a good 20 years, live your best lives, friends.
  • I just finished toning up my offense. I use 109 if statements. I think I might have a problem.

Conditional offense sounds sad. Reacting is more fun

So instead of telling her there's a better way to do it, why not mention an alternative to IF statements @Dunn @Antonius ?

  • Another rave for @Shirszae's lovely painting for Thaumas!

@Valdus because I have no idea how else I would do it, and don't have the time to pen and paper someone elses offense!

    Forum call out ftl.

I also agree with Carmain. Reacting to combat yourself is totes more fun than having triggers do it. Just an opinion.

Why was this necessary? Oh, it wasn't.
  • @Valdus Because I'm currently posting on a phone, don't know what the code looks like or what it's supposed to do. More than happy to help Tesha with coding if she needs it, as I have done in the past.

Plus, if it works, no point changing it now.

It wasn't a callout, just the first thing the came to mind after reading how you guys reacted to a bunch of IF statements. To my mind nested IF's are one of the best ways to code certain things. It seemed like you knew offhand a better way of doing it and so I posted for her benefit as well as my own and anyone else who might have thought the same thing.

Try not to read things so negatively. :(

    Viva la Bluef.

    @Valdus remember, there's always a better way.

Is why I live my life by the motto "What would Carmain do?"
  • If you're good, and if you can think about solving problems in an abstract manner, and if you have the time, you'll know that if you have more than, like, four if statements, you can reduce them somehow. If you care.
  • All I know is that omni2 had about 9001 if statements in every single curing function and it rocked ok.
