People being excited, it's worth all the work/headaches when someone gets inspired and takes the bit in their teeth to run with an idea.
The sweltering heat of the forge spills out across the land as the rumbling voice of Phaestus booms, "I want you to know, the Garden reaction to that one is: What?"
The voice of Melantha, Goddess of the Seasons, echoes amid the rustle of leaves, "That's the censored version."
  • Having a horrible day, log on for the first time in many many months, and BAM!! @Cecilia, Andrea's mother who she hasn't see in over 200 ig years is on!!  Soooooooooo excited!  And I got to say hi to @Grom    <3 old achaeans!
  • HE ARMS REGISTER success. Arms ID = 784.
The arms of Synbios: Argent, on a pale cotised Gules, a sword paleways of the first.
In modern Achaean: A silver sword facing upwards on a red vertical bar with a doubled border, on a
    silver background.

Heraldry is fun. I change my CoA every few months.
(D.M.A.): Cooper says, "Kyrra is either the most innocent person in the world, or the girl who uses the most innuendo seemingly unintentionally but really on purpose."

Woah, you can change your CoA?!
Hiroma tells you, "I just got to listen to someone complain about your deadly axekick being the bane of their existence."
Archdragon Mizik Corten, Herald of Ruin says, "Man, that was a big axk."
Hellrazor Cain de Soulis, Sartan's Hammer says, "Your [sic] a beast."

@Xli, on the off chance that is a genuine query of surprise, I'll respond.

You have to deregister your current CoA and then it is gone. Signet rings are automatically lose the emblazon as well. Original costs apply for a new CoA.

  • Belated rave @jovolo for intelligent and interesting conversations. And starting to gain my trust. For an ex mhaldorian you're alright. ;)

I don't like that, seems a bit odd that you can achieve Thoth's speed and net all the other benefits of high Dex.

I wouldn't suggest big differences, 1.8/1.85/1.9/1.95(unartied max), but I'd like to see differences. Oh well.

Edit: To clarify, with how good Dex is for everything else, and how simple it is to reach 16 Dex, it feels like I wasted credits now on Thoth's. If I could change it to an buckawn's spine and I would lose absolutely nothing, so I'm only out the credits now
    :-/
This is exactly how I feel about it. If you already have capped your dstab speed based on your Dexterity, without your artefact dirk being applied, then you have a 1500cr non-decay paperweight. And I know on paper it seems like you could just move around your stats, but it ends up forcing you into building your stats around your dirk, and missing out on some of the other aspects that high dexterity offers. Or just eating the 800cr that you paid for an 8% increase in dstab speed because you'll never get any added benefit from it.

I am loving the changes, though. Rave for the new dstab! I just want the ability to downgrade to a level 2 to put those 800 credits towards something I'll get use of.

  • I'm pretty sure it's been said before that you can downgrade and receive two thirds of the difference back. I may be misremembering or making that up, but I'd send an email to artefacts@achaea.com and find out if it's something you'd actually want to do.

Beats the cleave deathsight for the title of best deathsight, in my book :O
  • Pardon me if I don't feel like eating a 266cr loss because a change occurred that made an artefact I purchased almost a year ago do nothing.

Psh. You only have to downgrade. I have to switch to handaxe!

You were using an artefact not designed for your class, for something or was not advertised to do. completely different situation.

You're right, dirks were never designed for stabbing.

Artie dirks are designed specifically for increasing dstab speed.

We're talking about serpents whose dstab speed is not being increased by having higher level dirks vs. a dragon/sentinel that used a dirk designed for dstab to jab for hunting/bashing and breaking limbs at an increased speed with venoms added.

That's like complaining that you can no longer use an artie blackjack as an Occultist because a bug was fixed.

  • I always saw the weaponry system as a (mostly failed) attempt to allow people to use different weapons to create different play styles.

  • There *is* a weaponry rework coming.

    Nope, because it's not Katz's, it's an alt's. :P But it's perfect for her, so I'm happy. :)
