There wasn't enough time before class to go back to my room and put this away, so I just spent 90 minutes discussing security communities and proxy wars over the last 70 years while playing with an adorable knit mouse.

Might be able to make out those pictures of certain guys from this thread in uniform reflected in my eyes. Done with classes for a bit, but you can still see the cold stone walls behind me.

It's not the uniform. It's what the uniform implies that attracts women. It implies that the man has a successful career and is capable of providing for the woman and/or the future offspring. It also sometimes implies that the man is physically strong and able given that many uniformed jobs are blue-collar/physical labour.

Plenty of books out there on this subject. People can't possibly know everything about someone right from the start, so they search for ways to pick out ideally attractive mates, even if they're not realizing what they're doing.
