Can someone please please please remove the pagelength thing from the elist sorter? I have mine set to max and it keeps setting it back to 20, which is astonishingly irritating.
You may want to tell svof your desired page length with "vconfig pagelength 250"
I'm unable to get svof to load on a chromebook running ubuntu mudlet. I keep getting the error below when trying to install the zip package. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!
Lua error:/usr/share/games/mudlet/lua/LuaGlobal.lua:164: attempt to index global 'zip' (a nil value)
You are missing some lua dependencies of mudlet. In this case it's luazip, but I'm sure you're also missing lfs and the pcre library. Can't remember what the others were.
@Keneanung Would it be possible to get a no class build of svof? (Would make it easier to build a multiclass system of my own off it)
I can build one, but can't give guarantees about it working. It will also have no class/skill specific code at all.
Thats exactly what I'd like. Then I can build all my classes into it for switching. It should work fine for normal afflictions and healing. Really only difference for some classes would be defense upkeep wouldn't be handled. For example what does the Blademaster svof system really add?

Lets see... Prompt tags, fitness, defenses (shindo, stances, retaliationstrike) are the ones I could identify quickly with a grep.

Right all the defences would have to be handled on the users end. I don't use svo prompt anyway I turn that off for my own. I could see fitness but where that's for several classes could always have a vconfig havefitness yep/nope
Using fitness doesn't get compiled into no-class svof. Tracking of balances is in (just confirmed that), though. Coding around is definitely possible, but I'm not sure if you can tell svof that you are curing asthma (for the time between sending command and it going through).

Whatever you come up with I'd be happy with. I know a few other people who would utilize it as well.
*drumroll* Oh, what's that? A timely svof release? This release brings a bugfix, the new artefact pipe and a new svof package. This new package is intended for those who want to do everything themselves but would like some of the utility of svof. There are no class specific defences, healing methods, plugins, prompt tags and so on.
That out of the way, I'd like to announce some organisational changes. First of all, I am planning to move away from the server @Pathers kindly allowed us to use. The most important reason is that it allows me some more flexibility.
Which leads directly tp my next point. I'd like to offer two release channels in the future. One default "stable" channel is for all normal releases right now. The second one will be "testing", which will see certain changes earlier, but may run into issues because... Well it's testing. There may be more channels in the future, when I need more.
Third has to do with the point above as well. I will streatch the release cycle. Stable release will be released around the 1st of each month, while new releases in "testing" will probably start appearing around the 15th each month. At that point, there will be a feature freeze and new code will only be added to fix bugs that appear through testing. This is, because I plan bigger changes in the near future that may help implementing multiclass, and because it gives me a little leeway on other projects I'd like to follow.
All these changes will hopefully be part of the next release.
I never noticed this before but it looks like the pipes are acting a bit weird. Firstly, plist isn't autofilling the pipes or assigning their contents. I had to manually vconfig to do so.

As announced, I moved the release files to github pages, where they will be published in the future. There's also a new option in "vconfig2": "releasechannel", which lets you choose, whether to get "stable" releases or "testing". The latter will get stable releases whenever a new stable is released, until I decide it's time for another testing release, which will usually be around the 15th. New stable releases will appear at the beginning of the month only. To choose the channel use "vconfig releasechannel <stable|testing>".
I also managed to fix the plist, I'm working on the other issues. Sorry but there were a little short notice
I posted once before but, I think there might be something broken about the Blademaster svof =/. I did a complete reinstall of svof for bladie, only installed the svo using the package manager. with nothing in my upkeep or defup I unpaused the system and tried df for the quick def, doesn't work, same with dv for quick diagnose, literally nothing happens when I do the df/dv commands.
So I also did a complete reinstall of the mapper, the goto command keeps telling me "(mapper): Starting speedwalk from (room#) to (room#): (when we get balance back / aren't hindered)" even though i'm balanced and not hindered in the slightest. Obviously the room# thing is me removing the room numbers from the copy XD but anywho! For the keepup/defup it still won't acknowledge my Clairty or Binding skill from Shindo, and Kola, if put in keepup for me keeps looping.
I'm sorry if I sound annoying or whiny, I just wanted to let you know that I was still having these problems as my Blademaster, but everything works perfect for my Sylvan. I have put my blind/deaf affs in the ignore part of vshow just so server and svof will stop curing them. Selfishness works if I have the server doing it, but svof sl says it'll upkeep but I can do generosity and it won't try to be a selfish bastard once equil is back hehe. Sorry for the long post but I just wanted to let you know what issues i'm still having, you guys are still doing a great job and I really appreciate all you guys do for us! ^_^

That's why I usually let svof handle blind/deaf. That way I can utilise kaido.
