Sounds nothing like me or my friends. I don't take offence or anything, just saying that the accent is waaay out. I'd go with Australian myself, but that's just an educated guess.

I can actually hear both, strange. There's a very distinctive SA accent on a few sounds, but in general it sounds very Australian. I would bet on a SA born or bred actor putting on a bad Aussie accent. :P

I can see how you'd miss the SA sound if you were from there, as those little tells would just sound 'normal', and you would pick up more on the very obvious fake Aussie accent.



Yeah....no. there are a few lilts but they are not South African. They sound more forced to fit in with the pronunciation joke. Like other words with an E sound that he turns into an I sound. But that is not an SA thing to do at all. In fact someone from here would pronounce those E sounds deeper into the mouth subconsciously.
