So, there's this dude who is a world renowned bat researcher. He's devoted his life and career just to studying bats, has written numerous books on them, and is all-in-all a top authority on bats. He even has a bat named after him. He's now leaving Madagascar humiliated though because of a particular species of bat whose females haven't been seen in 3 decades, and his is one of the latest research teams to walk away empty handed after their funding got pulled.
