    Finally made it to Sri Lanka. Arrived at the hotel to see that the grounds/service are fantastic! 
    The hotel gave me (and my business partners) free early check-in since we arrived at 4AM, free breakfast at their amazing morning buffet (actually famous here for their buffet, I hear), and fruits delivered to the door. 

    This is going to be a great month :)

    This is a rant and rave rolled into one, but more a rave than anything.

    A couple weeks ago my grandma claimed the doctor had found this "huge mass" in his chest. In December her best friend died from cancer shortly after they'd found a mass in her chest, so my grandma was making us freak out. My grandpa has had prostate cancer I think for 2 or so years now, it's very slow moving and due to his advanced age and plethora of other health issues they decided to not do chemo or radiation yet because that might kill him faster than the cancer, so they removed some of it surgically, and just monitor him.

    I should've known better than to trust my grandma. She often over exaggerates both of their health problems and says they are things that they aren't. Turns out, this is one of those instances.

    So today at the endoscopy clinic they put a tube down his throat and took several biopsies from his esophagus and stomach. There is no mass there at all... just small lesions that they say don't look malignant or have anything to do with his cancer. We'll know for sure what it is when he goes to a follow-up appointment with his doctor.

    Thrilled the news (so far) is WAY better than I was expecting. Upset that my grandma takes pleasure in freaking everybody out and making them think he might die soon.

    Haven't official returned to Achaea yet, but thought I'd add a nervous/excited/stressed rave: moving to Berlin in 3 days. Don't have a flat, or a job, or even a German bank account, but my girlfriend and I had been travelling Europe for a while and when we got to Berlin we fell in love and were like 'fuck it we're moving here'. So we finished our Interrail/Eurrail tickets (which I recommend to anyone wanting to travel in Europe) and on Friday we arrive in Berlin for a totally fresh start. Anyway Im on so excited and so stressed/nervous at the same time. :#

    Hoping to find a flat and get settled pretty quickly, then geet bashing pronto.

    Side note: anyone live in Germany who can give us some tips?

    Grats on the coming move! Sounds exciting :) I live in Austria, but am also an expat. Think @Keneanung lives in Germany.

    I am soooooo nervous though lol. I finished my Masters at uni and since we'd been kinda coasting, living with my parents so save money until eventually we were like 'fuck it, the UK sucks, lets move'. (ok so the UK doesnt really suck that bad, but you have to admit, the weather is terrible)
    So much to get sorted and and stuff, but so looking for to it at the same time. Only issue could be that 'Ein currywurst bitte' is about the extent of my German.

    Side note: we were in Austria 10 days ago, its soooo pretty, been there so many times.

    I was initially resistant to the idea of spending $2 on an app, but now that I do the Google rewards surveys (which are a super easy way to slowly gather Google play credits), I went on and bought the Exploding Kittens app for my phone, and have been throughly enjoying it.

    It's usually a quick game with hilarious sound effects and fairly simple strategies. I wish it was a bit easier to play with friends beyond forcing them to buy it, but if you like the physical game, I super recommend the app to play with random people worldwide. So much laughing.

    Yeah, the weather is bad. I used to live in Dublin, and definitely grey weather. I am from Norway though, so not complaining (the city I come from has more than 250 days of rain per year).

    I have lived here for a couple of years, and first now taking German courses. You don't need that much German to manage in the beginning, and a lot of people speak English. Yeah, love Austria :)

    Not sure if this is a silly rave or rant, but does anyone else have an S.O. that watches you play Achaea? Things he said so far:

    "What is smiting?"
    "Why are you powering your angel?"
    "What did that (mob I'm attacking) do to you?"
    "Aren't you a priest, why are you attacking things that didn't attack you first?"
    "Can you type \\# does that do anything?"
    "You just typed random numbers (my aliases) surely \\# does something."

    I've given up playing around him now out of sheer desire to lovingly throttle him.

    Did a puzzle/escape room with some friends this weekend. Very fun, although we did have a tense moment where we struggled with long division to unlock one of the locks.
