Feeling rather cheerful this evening. I set up a "community library" in my shady apartment building. I don't want to hear it about the Twilight and Charlaine Harris books... They're umm...not mine. I swear.
Moving on.
I picked up a drawing tablet to goof around on. First drawing funtimes! Maybe with some practice my strokes will be less wobbly and I might become okay and it's a pleasure to do.

I am human, and I make some pretty embarrassing mistakes sometimes.
For as many people as I see who just log on Achaea to grief people out, or get on the forums here and and just bitch and argue , I gotta say, you've really surprised me and I feel a bit humbled.
You're a reminder that there are definitely decent human beings out there.
Faith in humanity restored a little.

Bets are that you went to drop a key sigil and ended up dropping a shop key. That's the level of mistake this sounds like.
I have a pizza!
My little sister is visiting! I didn't realize how lonely I've been since the move. It's nice to have family around. So far we've hula hooped, walked down to the river, had beers, made new friends at the bar, sang several songs from a variety of musicals, played bass and mandolin together, had ice cream, and hugged.

Lazy Sunday afternoon with a hot cup of Earl Gray tea, a slice of Nutella Cheesecake and sfdebris. Ahhh, what could be better!
Rave: during said duel, I discovered that shaking your iPhone gives you the option to delete all the text you've written.
Now that I have some free time, I'm downloading the complete first season of Black Sails. And @Kinilan, there's nothing you can do about it!
I was going to say something about how I'm one step ahead because Crossbones starts in 4 days, but then I realized even if it does have John Malkovich as Blackbeard he won't be aaaaanywhere near as awesome as Jessica Parker Kennedy's "Blackbeard" in Black Sails.
The important thing to remember, and I didn't find this out until like halfway through, is that all the captains, with the exception of Flint, were real. They didn't all live around the same time or work together, but all the captains in the show were real pirates.
Beautiful women and blood sausage. I have a good feeling about this already.
I am quite literally playing Katamari Damacy with the forums. This is the most fun with them I've had in ages.
Our neighborhood tow truck just picked up a car, and I got to watch. I almost feel bad for the person, but than I remembered my BFF's wife and I made this happen. So I couldn't help but be proud of it actually working.
Edit: Yay for cars illegally parking on our street!
Rave: Making the decision to quit my job on Saturday instead of waiting three more weeks and finishing the notice period out.
Rave: This means I can potentially go and visit my brother in Melbourne for a week AND catch Wicked: The Musical before I start work at my new job. So excitedly hopeful!
Rant: I have to pay two weeks' worth of notice, which is kind of a substantial sum, but oh well. After weighing up the pros and cons, I think it's worth it.
Not really a rant but: Excited but also super nervous about the new job. I hope it's an ok one because I'm going to be stuck here for a while...
