Also, if we want to talk about numbers: Mycen has disarmed a hostile tank. Ast, Hasar, Herose, Kisharo, Kitiara, Kuy, Locki, Saeva, Tasuu, Vadimuses, and Vum assisted in the defence. vs.

who raided include Tibitha, Khalaz, Quisse, Morthif, Carmell, Aelios, Alaskar, Halos, Rohai, Ruca, Aldair, Achilles, Aodfionn, Invictus, Eigen, Shunsui, and
Kard.
But it doesn't matter. Because in the end... it boils down to a little bit of luck, some butt clinching hoping that someone doesn't do something to royally obliterate you (ally or foe), some tactics and some hope for coordinated targeting. The 'lopsided' is subjective. Always.
Lots of "It's ok because they did it", which has always been a laughable excuse.
The joke is that someone who talks about how important balanced raids are when they join huge stomp groups in either direction.
To clarify: I don't care how many you raid with. I don't care what strategies you use or anything like that. I might have an opinion on them but you're going to raid how you raid and it's going to work out. It wasn't a comment on Mhaldorians or their raids. It was a comment on the hilarity of the person in this thread joining in a raid like that after all the stuff he's spouted throughout.

Aelios tells you, "// Bring it on!"
You tell Aelios, "// Awesome, thanks!"
You tell Mycen, "Party invite?"
Just so you know, Aelios is the kind of person who doesn't whine/object to raids. You'd be far better off asking their non-coms who felt forced into raid defence than somebody who has said on multiple occasions that they enjoy it. I imagine your request would have had a different response had you asked somebody like Carmell, who sometimes goes on ship/QQs to avoid defending.
I appreciate your decision to contribute to the thread, @Merador.
I checked with Aelios after watching the Mhaldorian team get wiped. I don't know Aelios well, but I figured as a city leader I could trust him to give a fair read of player enjoyment in his electronic tribe and I figured it was better than not asking at all. Courtesy only takes a few seconds.
I'm not sure; they may want to address reports of suspiciously lucrative and consistent fishing revenue banked by certain anti-hypocrisy crusaders in this thread.

If you want to call me an auto-fisher with flowery words because Zulah killed me once, hop on a ship and let me know how it goes when you're praying.
You're being about as subtle as Jhui was when he got banned.

I admit to only possessing corroborating eyewitness testimony. You might not even bank much money fishing at all, and boy would my face be red were that the case.

Saying it's okay because they did it would mean that we went in there with actual lopsided numbers. We didn't. Not yesterday. I know you're -really- having a good time rubbing Herenicus wrong, but I'm still not particularly amused at your attempt to say we did something wrong yesterday. I was a little proud that we did so well with -our- small numbers versus -their- huge numbers (Hasar wasn't even there till the end, might I add, had no leadership and yet while we took a while to muster up our forces, we did it anyway), and glad to see a pretty evenly fought fight later on in the day. Stop trying to make Mhaldor some monster that it's not always. (Yes, I'm well aware that each city has it's monstery days.)
He can't help it, he said it's on a 15 minute timer, like one of those timed car washes! Got to get it hardwired into the ON pos or he's going to take all our quarters. (okay that was probably naughty of me, but I couldn't resist. Please continue with the regularly scheduled argument, where inexplicably, and as usual, I mostly agree with Herenicus, except for the parts about how Jarrod is a dirty autofisher or something. Also, 40 man raids, how do you fit all those text players on that little soccer field across from the strip mall?)

You do realize in the post you quoted I didn't say you were wrong, right? I said that's a dumb excuse (which you used, and it is), not that either side did anything wrong.
I do not care how you raid. Targossas had a lopsided raid vs you, you had a less lopsided (but still lopsided if you actually look at names) raid in return. Neither side was wrong, both were raiding how they wanted to raid.
Good on both groups for instigating conflict and going on the offensive. Purely defending for any faction is boring.

I would ask everyone on the grand jury to keep mum on the foregoing until our girls and boys down at the crime lab have finished investigating these he-said-she-he-he-said allegations.

I'm not sure when these extra people joined to fill up your enemy list (maybe in the retaliatory raid when Targossas was defending?), but let's not be disingenuous here.
Mhaldor rolling 20-deep in Targossas is not a new thing, and is also not something to take issue with. People will raid as they see fit, and that's absolutely fine. Some people prefer one type of raid, others prefer a different type. Some people don't feel confident enough to raid with smaller numbers, which is again fine and understandable.
The deck is already stacked in favour of defenders. Stacking it further against the aggressors will only lead to bigger and bigger raids, which are the ones where raiders are more likely to outstay their welcome, because they feel like they need to achieve something to justify the number of people they're bringing along.
This seems contrary to what you want to achieve, since we've all been through this in the past, and probably would not want to return to it.

Thank you for joining the conversation, Silas. Extending the current (and, I think, popular) treatment of XP for sanctioned raids to organizational property, generally, would relieve the aggressing party of having to pause and consider the mutual enjoyment of all parties before diving into organizational conflict. If we can turn even lopsided, hours-long raids into a modest XP bonanza for the defense, I don't see the harm. Some of the other proposals go further and may be unnecessary to produce the desired effect of making defense a joy, no matter the odds or schedule the raiders choose to set for themselves.
