You've added 500 gold, bringing the pot to 49000 sovereigns!
You give a hollowed skull a pained sigh.
You give a hollowed skull a good shake, the coins and dice rattling.
The unmistakable bark of an Executive Officer rings out, "Find a ship? I thought you said SHEEP!"
The dice each cease their rolling with a rattle, one in each eye and the third clasped in the
skull's mouth. They show 2, 4, and 4.
The unmistakable bark of an Executive Officer rings out, "Ship sighted Sir! Hoist the black, man the
lines, and ready your weapons!"
The unmistakable bark of an Executive Officer rings out, "Scabs! If a single coin goes missing
you'll walk the plank!"
You tip the skull and retrieve your winnings.
You breathe on your fingers with a gentle "ha," buff them against your chest, and admire them with a
smile and a glance at a hollowed skull.
Having never been on a ship, not even since the implementation of ships, I'm like "Oooo what's that? What's this? What's that?" reading all the way through this. I can't wait to get sunk my first day out when I can finally afford a measly windcutter.
I just realized I should be bashing with evileye bleeds instead of stare bleed. Bashing is now 2x as fast (even faster with all the crits). Just figured it out today at level 86. I'm not the sharpest crayon, but I am persistent.
Completed my first foray ever without the client crashing, didn't realise renown was a thing. Looking forward to doing more. Thanks @Penwize, @Amunet, @Baliuk

Prophet of Babel Flair Ze'Dekiah, Supreme Pontiff of the Outer Planes (male Tsol'aa).
He is 521 years old, having been born on the 12th of Sarapin, 316 years after the fall of the Seleucarian Empire.
He has departed for the Unspoken City, as was foreseen.
pretty cool retire customisation.
The Divine voice of Twilight echoes in your head, "See that it is. I espy a tithe of potential in your mortal soul, Astarod Blackstone. Let us hope that it flourishes and does not falter as so many do."
Aegis, God of War says, "You are dismissed from My demense, Astarod. Go forth and fight well. Bleed fiercely, and climb the purpose you have sought to chase for."
As the icy flames claw at Icosse, Mirrored Ire, frostbite sets in as his body ceases to produce sufficient warmth to keep alive. The ground quakes violently as the conjured world around you begins to break apart before your eyes. You are moved by Icosse, Mirrored Ire.
Your soul cries out in ecstasy as it reaches new heights of power. You have advanced to level 98.
I was only briefly able to interact with @Flair, and those few moments were some of the most intriguing aspects of this year so far.
I have no idea if any of what occurred earlier will continue onward in game at some point in time, but it was a damn sight to behold at a distance.
"Alas. Alas for Hamlin. The Mayor sent east, west, north, and south. To offer the Piper by word of mouth. Wherever it was men's lot to find him, silver and gold to his heart's content. If only he'd return the way he went."
Flair was hands down one of the most interesting and fun characters I ever had the pleasure to interact with. I remember losing a drinking contest to him in Ashtan, where we both literally drank ourselves to death. Worth every sip.
For those curious. 'The Unspoken City' is Eridu, Babel's city in the Outer Planes, of which Flair is now the leader of.
The second one with a custom retire line, both of which were done by Babel! The other of course being Spire:
He is an eternally lost soul, having been denied resurrection by the Lord of Oblivion.
I'm sure there'll be a news post soon enough, but this was still cool.
The sky over the Mhojave explodes in a sudden, deafening blast of sound. Black clouds churn and roil with terrifying fury, raging through the heavens with a frenzied power that puts to shame that of any natural tempest.
Thunderous reverberations echo through the heavens in multitudinous tones of ominous portent, surging across the world in waves of deep, rumbling sound that threaten your mind with impending madness.
Within the unforgiving expanse of the Mhojave, a lone figure of imposing height stands before the onrushing storm, a hulking elephant of decaying flesh by his side.
Prophet of Babel Flair Ze'Dekiah shouts, "Take me, Oblivion!"
The skies clear, the unnatural aberration gone as swiftly as it came, the only sign of its passing the tumbling of sand as from a broken hour glass.
An ancient Tsol'aa takes his foretold place upon the black throne within the unspoken city.
Disappearing from Achaea for now. See you, space cowboy.
[System]: Prepended AURIFY NEPHINY to your eqbal queue.
With the hint of a smile at your lips, you stare intently at Nephiny. You draw alchemical energies
around her, and soon a look of combined shock and pain takes her features as an aureate light begins
emanating from her body. With one last burst of exertion, you complete the transmutation, and
Nephiny's flesh turns into gleaming gold.
You have slain Nephiny.
[SLAIN] Nephiny
You have learned a new Attainment ability: Dragonhood.
Your soul cries out in ecstasy as it reaches new heights of power. You have advanced to level 99.
I
did it! Coming from Aetolia, this felt like a forever grind. Seriously.
Coming from a game where you can get endgame in a weekend with the amount of
experience stacking, taking about a month to get to end game felt forever.
Early Alchemist hunting feels like absolute garbage until your crits
start rolling in with extispicy and ethian.
I
couldn't possibly tag everyone but I want to thank everyone in Cyrene
for being so supportive, donating Profithyst, life enhancement, and a
swirling golden orb. The generosity was was actually very moving and I
couldn't possibly say thank you enough!
Note to self, when you go to set an action on a timer in Mudlet, be sure you set the time tick -before- you save the settings, otherwise the default is 0s and that...was something special.
As a coding novice, I find this happening to me a lot now that I'm attempting to learn. I've had spam loops so bad that even the mudlet bomb button did not stop it. Moments like those where you panic X-out, relog in and say sorry outloud and hope the Admins can just shake their heads and not slam dunk me into tomorrow. lol
Not sure if Paladins are going to get the same flavoring as Infernals just did...but if they are, i'm hoping it is something that makes them look like this...

Finally. Took me a while for this one!

You have slain an Arcadian royal guard, retrieving the corpse.
My first Level 80 character in Achaea! Feeling good!
(Yes I like angelic wings)
Heres hoping Devotion gets some love next. So flavorless by comparison now.
Penwize has cowardly forfeited the challenge to mortal combat issued by Atalkez.
